Wide Open

For Goodness Sake! Even the walls were closing in on me! I had to find open spaces so my heart and spirit could soar. In all directions I looked from out of my windows, all the outdoor spaces I once had to see the full sky are now gone. That day I felt it. Suffocation and the burning desire to immerse my spirit in wide open were severely at odds within me! At that moment I irrevocably stated no matter what the weather brings the next morn, I know exactly where I am going … no matter what! With that, the raging inner tussle subsided. Freedom rings the Liberty Bell and my spirit knew tomorrow brings what my walled-in spirit required to once again soar high and unencumbered.

The next day dawned bringing with it sunshine. Astonished, I looked out my kitchen window and then closing my eyes sent deep Gratitude to Mother for presenting me with a Gift my gray weary soul cried for. With a bounce in my step and a fiery determination burning in my heart, I flew out my door early by my standards all so I could leisurely spend hours of pleasure at the park destined for me that day that included a whole lot of sunshine. Yes I had to put some speed behind what I first must do that morning, yet that speed brought forth fruit, juicy sweet sublime fruit for ME!

As I drove in a daze while drinking greedily the light that poured from the heavenly blues, I arrived at the park sighing sighing sighing. Excitement rose higher and higher for I knew that day would rule supreme for me. For me! The moment my feet hit the ground I morphed into my zone, effortlessly. OH for the glory I saw around me. I couldn’t even take pictures for a long time as my hungry soul drank and drank the vistas set before me. Space!!! Wide open space!!! Oh heavens!!! Fill me fill me fill me!!

Of course I eventually came to my senses (to a degree) as the photographer began to document this miracle of a day. Walking and shuttering wherever my eyes were pulled I was in my element! Turning a corner I began to walk down another path amongst golden trees. I heard birds but darn it no matter where my eyes pierced through those branches none I could see.

In my periphery vision three women walking approached me all talking with no cells in their hands. Oh my goodness! Yes how beautiful!! And then ….. I recognized the woman in the middle and she me. Stepping forward she skipped on over to me and hugged me. “No way”, I heard come out of my mouth as she introduced me to her girlfriends. I was stunned I had actually run into someone I know. This is a woman I talk to from the gym I go to. I knew, I just knew she was a woman after my own heart. No way indeed would either one of us be inside that day!! We laughed as we exchanged a few words. What JOY to see her here ….

We didn’t hang around for I had pictures to take and she was obviously very much enjoying her walk with her friends. Parting company my heart glowed as did my face with a big grin. The sheer chance of us bumping into each other is beyond my comprehension.

Continuing on my way immediately I zoomed back into my zone. The Beauty and the space!! And OH for that sun, that Blessed Sun shining ever so bright! Be still my heart! Picture after picture I took all the while my spirit and heart and soul soaked up the freedom of space and sun. I honestly couldn’t get my eyes off the sky.

How I truly needed this! Mother does not ever cease to amaze me, EVER!, as She provides me everything I yearn for. She knows when I’m at my wits’ end and boy did she provide a day I won’t forget for a long time. My Gratitude is Eternal for my True Love that I have for Mother and She me.

Please do enjoy the images from this magical day. Release your spirit. Fly high!! Feel the freedom of space!! Let go of all the stress, all the worries, and fly fly fly!! Breathe! The last picture is of a Starling, the first bird that migrates back here in SPRING. This bird was with three other scouts making sure it is time for the others to flock in. They are at least one month early. I’ve been telling my husband I feel Spring. I just know we are going to have an early Spring this year. And don’t you know it, Mother provided me with proof~!
