    1. Thank you, Dan. Since we’ve been discussing WB, I tried a new technique, taking day pix in a setting other then daylight. Hence the blue. I’m playing, seeing what I can do with this cam of mine! LOL Have a great weekend! Love, Amy

  1. Oh, I just love these pictures and the blue (favorite color) and the water. These would look so good framed. As we have discussed you can never have too much water. Love them and the words!! xoxo

    1. Aw, Val, Bless you. Yes, that last photo is the clincher, isn’t it? I saw it in “real color” and I just stared, taken away to that place of Oness and Awe. And then I “special effected” the scene with blue and to me, this makes it even more HOME. I’m glad you agree. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. OH, Susan, you and me both. When I stood looking down at this water, my Heart just floated away. And when I took it the way I did to “add” blue to the image …. my Heart sighed. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Thank you, Amy. I experimented with deliberately setting the WB to one other then for daylight so I would get this blue effect. Just playing and discovering and learning. Hope you are having a great weekend. I have been watching movies about dance. (GRIN!) My other dream ….. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. Oh, Amy, honestly, I was just experimenting. I didn’t know they would turn out like this. I really am falling in LOVE with my macro, not wanting to use anything else lately. The “feel” this lens gives is awesome! You are YOU and please honor YOU for the talents YOU have. I LOVE your work, Amy. You reach me in ways I don’t reach you so together we are ONE. (((HUGS))) Amy

      3. Some days I think I need my head examined due to all the hours I do put into blogging. Honest. But when I see how many respond to my work and my Love, I just keep going. Thank you, Amy, SO much for being a part of my Life and that of Petals as well. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. I shot in tungsien WB (either that or flourescent) deliberately to get that blue hue. I was experimenting and when I saw the results I said COOL! (smile) So, the words that you see here fit perfectly with the blue pix, and so I created this. So glad you saw this post and it resonated with you, Tiny. I’ve experienced these words. In order to write it, I have lived it. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. I have to experiment more…just learning to take decent pics, still very basic. But I love it…and fitting words and images is wonderful. Your words are always fully of beauty…as are your images! ❤

      2. Tiny, I am known to um “not” follow the rules. Do things different. Do the unknown. Choose the path less traveled. I really thank you for the compliment, Tiny. Words like yours only increase my urge to create. Today I “saw” the viewfinder in my camera as my canvas …. It is how I arrange what I see through my camera’s viewfinder that I create art. This is what makes photography so exciting for me. You have a wonderful day!!! I am going for a ride in the country to see what I can find. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Linda, the first and last ones are my favs too. When I shot the first one, I wowed outloud! I wasn’t expecting the water to “light” up like that. It was a total surprise. And when I saw the last image, in the flesh, I just stood there transfixed. In awe. The Peace was all encompassing. SO glad you liked this!!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. I was actually attempting to portray Peace with these photos as well as touching the Heart. I’m surprised you see coldness. Raweyn, could you explain to me why? Even though the photos were blue, I felt warmth. (((HUGS))) Amy

      1. I do see peace as well. The blue reminds me of glacial waters. Remote and untouched. But at peace with the world – a place where nature is pure. Sorry it is hard to describe. I see it as pure water that is cleansing as well. I love the photo.

      2. Thank YOU so much for explaining. My understanding was from my perspective and now that you have told me what you have, this has added to my understanding, making for even a more beautiful canvas. Just beautiful how you described, and yes, it is not easy to explain a “feeling” or the “language of the heart”. “A place where nature is pure” …. thank you, Raewyn. (((HUGS)))

    1. As well as mine, Bernie. When I stood in the flesh before this magnificent view, my soul just sighed, as my eyes gulped greedily. At one point, I closed my eyes and just stood there, absorbing the Peace and Tranquility all around me. I am so touched you as well have felt what I experienced. Bless you. (((HUGS))) Amy

but wanted to come back there real quick to say how cool it was to also see that sign “swimming prohibited” – it just added some thing to the feel of the images – not sure what – but it has me pondering = hm.

Okay – have a nice Sunday Lady Pinkrose!

      2. That sign to me depicted more of what I was saying …. and the locked gate with the chains around each wooden pole across the bridge ….. IF YOU HAVE NOT LOVE ….. you have chains around your heart, you have a locked gate, and you prohibit FUN in your heart as well. Closed, chained, void of life …. I thought this photo was perfect for the line of words within my poem…….

  3. So True Amy without Love in our hearts it matters not the amount of riches… Love fills us up to over-flowing.. And your wonderful photo’s always fill my heart with a warm smile.. For I am seeing through your eyes the wonderful beauty of Mother Nature in your corner of the world.. And she is as Magnificent as the one taking the photo’s LOL..
And of course I will always find time Amy to visit.. Its been a long while almost if not over 3 weeks..
But I needed the rest away from blog land,
I am only logging on for a couple of hours each day for a while until the projects I have got going get finished..
Who ever said life begins at 40 was wrong.. It begins at 60 and I am so pleased now that I made the decision to retire early..
Even though at times I feel a little strange to be able to pick and choose and please myself.. I am loving the feeling of Freedom and the stress is finally leaving me.. xxx
    Much love Amy..

    1. Retirement is a HUGE transition, going from an existence of having someone’s else’s structure to occupy our time, to learning to have our own structure. Life is just beginning for me, Sue, at 57. I’ve worked up to where I am, yes, but now, it seems I am about to really begin to move forward. Some days I can barely breathe. Like today. Hehehehehe I had planned on going into the country to get shots of trees that are beginning to turn, but this day is not allowing me the way. Perhaps still yet, this evening I shall go. I prefer twilight and evening sun to photograph anyways. We’ll see. I still have to put a post together for the morrow. Yiveh! LOL With Much Love, and (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Hi, Neha. Aw, the nasty reader again. I’ve been having issues, as well, Neha. I’ve been working with Support but honestly, nothing has been resolved. I try so hard to keep my eyes open at Petals on top of my reader to observe who comes so that I can follow them back to their blog. I am not able to do this every day, but darn it, I do try!!! 1. Thank YOU so much!! I have a very special one coming tomorrow, that does just that, which was created today through a conversation I had with someone who is struggling. I am really touched by your comment, Vadana. This “Gift” developed over time here at Petals. I had no idea I could do this until it happened. So much to say …. about this very subject and I shall in my one year anniversary post coming up soon. Bless you!!! (((HUGS))) Amy
