What a glorious Sunday it is! This post is different from my usual. Sit back, click the video, and listen to beautiful music while you see with your very eyes Majestic Spring shouting LIFE!
The sheer size of what I was seeing stopped me in my tracks … that and how these trees are growing at the angles they are, along with their perfect reflections in the water. As I stood staring all within me wound down to a quiet breath. Notice the wooden bridge way in the back. This alone will give you a perspective how huge these trees are!
~~~~~
Do you know what you are looking at? Hubby had no clue when I showed him. This is a shot of melting ice in a pond, with tree reflections showing perfectly on the surface of the water. Oh yes this is an illusion! The tree branch in the lower right is actually in the water. Got it?
~~~~
I stood here a long time just amazed by the geometric designs and harmony of all that my eyes looked upon. I felt such Peace.
~~~~
What can I say? I just Love reflections!
~~~~
Want to know what I Love best in this image? It is how all the shades of browns blend together and in contrast to the white snow, make a perfect composition.
~~~~~
With this image, I was just so in awe of the intricate designs. Such Perfection!
~~~~~
Our Cattails are making a slow comeback after the reed grass overpowered them to the point of extinction. Much wildlife depends on Cattails for food.
~~~~~
Extremely challenging shot! I tried so hard to get a clear view while standing among thorny branches that did their best to snag my jeans and pierce my skin. This is the best I could do. I just would not let this view go.
~~~~~
I was fascinated with the play of light and shadow and of the lacy patterns in the ice.
~~~~~
Melting wildlife tracks on ice.
~~~~
Who sees 4 ducks?
~~~~
O-O-O-O … What a way to end this post!
Great photos!! This is the first time I can’t definitively pick out one favorite!! They are all number one because they each bring in something different. Wonderful, and the music is the icing! It was like I was there, very inspiring! Really nice, and thanks for risking yourself on the challenging shot – it was surely worth it! Much love to you!
What a landscape and what amazing details. Listening to the clip while I am reading your post and looking at the photos. The awakening is felt strongly. I love the image with the duck which swam through the ice-free fields. Glorious spring!!
SO glad you enjoyed this, Erika! Isn’t that music fantastic?? I’m hooked! This park is amazing in of itself because every time I go there, I always always come back home with pictures. Oh yes Spring spoke to me quite clearly that day! I’ve been smiling and laughing every since! I am SO happy Spring is springing!! (((HUGS))) Amy 💞
It is surprising me every time again that when spring starts I only realize how much I missed it. I think that is why we are feeling like being filled with new life once the warmth comes back. I think you feel the same, right?
I know it is more then that, Erika. I am really SEEING a huge change in people. Not all, mind you. But the interactions I’ve had of late leave me with my mouth hanging open as if I have truly walked into a world I have known really exists, only I have not ever seen. Just WOW! I know you can see this in my photography because we are all connected!! 😁
It is as if the energy in this world changes…. or is it our percepetion and consciousness changing…. I have no idea. Perhaps both which is supporting each. But how wonderful that we feel it!
I’m not quite sure what is happening exactly but I do know it is! I still come across the downers …. but hopefully in time they will climb on the HAPPY Bus along with us. YAY! 💞
I love the reflections, Amy. I always like it when I see the sky in the reflection but not in the image that is above the water. The picture with the reflected branches might be my favorite, but you’ve made it very hard to choose. Thanks for bringing us into your park.
I like those kind of images, too, Dan, as you saw in this post today! I had such a glorious time that day and just kept seeing more and more Beauty wherever my eyes did see. You are SO welcome that I brought you along. Thank YOU for “finding me” today to enjoy this post!! Hope you had a great Sunday!! 🤗🌸🌹
Spring has sprung Amy, you’ll be lost in the forests for days and we’ll not know where you are 😀
Great shots, and there are 8 ducks, the reflections came out well…even the tree’s are reflecting themselves in the water 😀 ❤
Always there seems to be a wise-guy in the midst and today it is you, Mark. LOL I wouldn’t mind getting lost for days in the forest as long as I have plenty of food and water with me, and of course my camera. 8 ducks? I did not stop to include the reflections. LOL Too funny just too funny. Honestly! Too much!! 😂😂😂
Oh, Amy! These are all lovely, and I wasn’t confused about the reflections – it was clear to me. You definitely chose the best two to frame the post, top and bottom are breathtaking!
Joey, thank YOU so very much! I put a lot of effort into this post, as I wished to give the sendoff Winter so does deserve as Spring quietly takes over. SO happy you enjoyed this post! You encourage me greatly with your compliments on my photography. I’ve been “thinking” about taking a radically huge step to increase both my range and equipment. I have everything listed and now research must come into the factor, planning as I stand on FAITH that I am going places with my cameras. BIG (((HUGS)))!!! 🌸🌸🌸
Hi Amy 🙂 Thank you for the beautiful start to my Monday morning!! ❤ I love reflections as well. 🙂 They make for interesting views and photographs. Beautiful blue sky! When I was out and about yesterday, I saw many robins hopping on the grass and a few mallard pairs flying through the sky. Happy to see both of these signs of spring. 🙂 The three ducks in the background of the photo are well camouflaged. I love looking at the cattails as they loose their fluff throughout the winter. They are an important component of the natural habitat providing cover throughout the year and seeds for the birds in the winter. I have seen sparrows picking the seeds off of the cattails. I hope you have a wonderful week! Love and blessings for you. ❤ ❤ ❤
No I didn’t forget you, Sarah. There was a bit of an emergency here at home and with my family comes first. I “think” everything is all right. I’ll know more in an hour or two.
I’m really happy I made your Monday morning a good one! Thank you with your generous compliments on my photography!
Temps have been very stubborn this year keeping it very chilly. Yet despite all this, I just told hubby today to please get my Liquid Fence from out of the barn. I have TULIPS coming up despite these cold temperatures and both deer and rabbits love tulips. They don’t touch my Crocuses nor my Daffodils, just Tulips. Seeing how Tulips have begun to come up I am running the show this year …. I’m one step ahead of those darn critters this year! The thing is I must keep it up for when it rains the Liquid Fence comes off so reapplication is required immediately after rain. *sighs* Whew!
Keeping fingers crossed our cattails make a comeback …. this reed grass has totally messed things up here. This stuff came from a boat from China …. no more said!
May your week be a great one!!! Much Love to you! 💞💞💞
Hi Amy 🙂 I hope everything is okay with the emergency! ❤ I didn't feel forgotten. 🙂 ❤ Life can be busy.
I didn't know that deer and rabbits like the tulips. I live in an apartment so I enjoy the spring flowers in the wild or that other people plant. I am sure there are many who enjoy your gardens that you don't even know about. 🙂 "Look at those beautiful gardens! Aren't they are wonder." 🙂
It is a sunny day today and I am enjoying the sunshine coming through the windows. 🙂 Love and blessings to you and your family! ❤ ❤ ❤
The problem is being addressed, Sarah. We will know more in this evening. The situation involves one of our precious cats who almost died yesterday. Yes interesting note on the rabbits and deer and what they will do with tulips. Thank you for reminding me to remind my husband to get the Liquid Fence. I will talk to you later. I hope you are having a really good day! 💖😁💖
Amy!!! Thank you for this exhilarating experience through your eyes yet again. I feel like a child looking at a friend unwrapping her treasured gifts to share with me 🙂 Simply love all the reflections and colors, the spaces and the designs. That pond that shows the reflection on its melting surface spoke to me about clarity of perception 🙂 I did see the 4 ducks.
You are welcome! SO glad you came along with me. Your excitement I felt! More will be coming …. soon!
I’m really not “here”. I’ve had a family emergency to contend with and still in the middle of. I’m dealing with one of our precious cats who would be dead today IF certain things had happened yesterday …. And we found out something major was overlooked by another Vet which is the reason why she is in serious trouble today. We are preparing to get all in order TODAY so our Bella is no longer in serious trouble. Oh man!!!! (((HUGS))) 🌷🌷🌸🌺
Oh Amy! I always have to wait until you find me before I can find you again and then play catch up, but it is so wort she h it! Because of my failing vision I download your photos to an editing program, enlarge them and then get the full view of your amazing work. Your talent grows with each photo and your eye is perfect! Thank you for showing us the beautiful world Mother has put here for us to enjoy, if we 0nly open our eyes and gaze with the wonder of children. We are destroying Mother’s gifts at such a rate she will not tolerate it much longer. Maybe my blindness will not be such a bad thing when all of the beauty is gone.
Hi, Angie! As long as I am around I will find beauty in this world and I will share that beauty with all who come here. THANK YOU for the wonderful comment how my talent grows with each photo and my eye is perfect. I LOVE what I do, dear friend. It is my Salvation in an otherwise very busy and crazy world. I am so pleased my Gift that I shared you were able to see. For this my Heart smiles! Much Love to you!! 💝💝💝
