What Our Eyes Do See

LR edited (1 of 1)Most of us just take for granted
what our eyes do see
,
yet if we but stopped for a moment
to figure out what we do see,
our sense of wonder I do believe
will be most prevalent.
As you gaze upon this image
do you really know
what your eyes do see?

As I’ve told some of my friends, I was taking a hiatus from blogging.  I am gaining my strength and stamina back after the massively intense period of my Life that became a ferocious whirlwind starting this past January.  To even write everything I have been through in that time period would take at least 2,000 words, so I elect just to say to you I have been through more hells then I would ever care to see again.  I don’t think I have ever come that close to questioning if I myself were seriously ill as I struggled to put back the tattered remnants of my Life back together again.

If I again become spotty with my blogging as I had been for a while now, please know I must look out for number one, and that would be me.  If I don’t take care of myself I will not be able to do what I do in my own Life and here at WordPress.  Yes I do feel much stronger now, yet if I feel myself tiring, instead of pushing myself I will take time out to rest and restore.

I want to thank all of you for your support, your encouragement, and your genuine caring especially during the last month or so, for it was YOU who helped me hold on when I didn’t think I could, when my Life as I knew it crashed and burned again and again and again.  Bless you, my friends, for being such an important aspect of my Life.  Shall we see what I can do? I can tell you that my creativity has sprouted in ways that is really taking me by surprise.  I am so excited to share what I am now doing with you, my very dear and special friends.  (smile)  Love, AmyRose

    1. Exactly, Sonya! It is also an illusion as it really does not look like what it actually is. To me it really gets me asking what are we really seeing? Hope your weekend has been a good one thus far!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. A Blessed Sunday to you as well, Lorrie. What has really been helping me is my photography and the fact I have begun power walking in a park that has huge hills. My walk lasts 1.45 hours and by the time I am done I am tingling with negative ions and LOVE. Thank you for your prayers. As I said, if it were not for those here at WP reaching out to me, I don’t know how I would have made it through the turbulent waters. Much Love, Amy ❤

  1. You have been in my thoughts and prayers this year, as we have been walking down similar paths. If I could only do a power walk, I would be on that path with you, but I am doing some power crocheting.

Your photo is filled with suggestion of a stairway leading to possibility, new hope after so much pain. It glows with that hope, the life that remains left to live for us, the love we still have to give, and the love we are receiving from others, and as with you, mine comes from my WP family as well. You have been a great help for me, with your photography, and I think it’s because you are feeling the loss of your loves as deeply as I am.

Thank you for all you have unknowingly done for me this year, as my 7 family members have passed over to a better place. You have made my life easier without even knowing it, and even though I have neglected my reader for so long, you have been sticking by me. Love and HUGS. A.

    1. Oh, Angie!!! You have brought tears to my eyes!!! Bless you, my friend, for I do feel your pain and to know I have helped you with your grieving process humbles me greatly. When we let go and accept what is we free ourselves to move forward in our own Lives. I know it is not easy, for the matters of the Heart go ever so deeply. I pray you know Peace today! Best of luck with your power crocheting for I understand that too! That in all of itself is healing and comforting. I will think of you as I walk those hills today. It is a gloriously sunny, cool day here and you bet I will be up in those hills drinking in that fresh air and giving my body a workout that brings smiles to my face and Heart. I Love you, dear friend!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. Thank you Amy. Your photos bring me comfort, knowing that Nature is the great healer. I always had my natural Cathedral in the woods when I lived on the farm, a peaceful grassy place surrounded by trees, where I felt alone and wrapped in the arms of God and Mother Nature, and at one with the creek that ran next to my Cathedral, sometimes Peacefully, sometimes Crashing in Flood, just as my life did. I miss that, more and more as Life passes by. I’m creating my space here in my Apartment, a space of Peace with Photos of Favorite colors and Scenery from you and other bloggers, plus my own. Not much wall space here, but just enough to change the Photos weekly, and have fresh perspective as needed. I love you also Sister of my Heart. (((HUGS))) Angie

  2. God bless you for hanging in there and coming out the other end. Just like the caterpillar who goes in to its cocoon and becomes liquified to turn into a butterfly. You are reemergimg into your new self. Not all easy or pretty but always perfect. Love to you

    1. Dearest Dawn, what lovely words to speak to me. Bless you. You have brought tears to my eyes. It’s amazing how when we go through the turbines of Life and re-emerge, we discover aspects within ourselves that we did not see before. As I dive deep within, putting me back together again, the inner child is emerging and I am just allowing her to play. I have become a chatty, bubbling with laughter and mischief, very honest (just like a child), curious, excited to see what happens next woman/child which leaves people either a) staring at me as if I have 2 heads or b) totally enjoying with me the celebration of Life. Then there is c) those who back away in fear. No matter the case, I am reveling in being a child at play. It just feels so darn good!!!! May you have a wonderful Sunday!!! Love, Amy ❤

      2. *tears* I have been branded “different”, “odd”, “someone to avoid” in this insane world, and to hear your words honestly brings tears to my eyes, Dawn. How do I thank you? I hope you really know how deeply you effected me, and how Grateful I am to you. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      3. You’re very welcome. I’ve gone through similar processes and had similar reactions. As you feel more confident in your new birth experience and essence it matters less and less others reactions. You’re doing great

    1. Marissa, my Life has been turned upside down inside out again and again, and I had to pull back to regain my strength from the bruising punches Life sent my way. I’m not sure what you mean by “a bit of a departure for you”. This is a bridge over a creek, yet if you really look, there is an illusion in this image that the sun and shadows made. Hope all is well with you and that you have a wonderful Sunday!!! Love, Amy ❤

  7. I’m very happy to read, that you take good care of yourself now. You really need to, otherwise you can’t take care of your big and beloved cat-family and that would be bad.

Send you instant love and remember to follow your heart, no matter what you do, my dear friend.

    Much love ❤ Irene

    1. I am taking good care of me, Irene. In fact, I am about ready to go for a very long walk in some mighty hills today. I’ve been doing that lately and believe me, if that isn’t what I need, I don’t know what is!!! Have a great day!!! Love, Amy ❤

  8. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers Amy. It seems as if you have been struggling with challenges since that snowfall about a year ago. It may go back further, but I can remember many things since then. Take your time. Write when you want to write, when it helps you to do so. We’ll be here.

    1. My goodness, Dan, I think you nailed it. Wow! Yes you are right it has been since last November that Life seriously dumped my way. I’ve been really getting my head back on straight and I think, now that is the operative word here, that Life is settling down. At least the long walks in these huge hills I go walk in are bringing tremendous healing. The sights, the sounds, the sound of my heart beat and my breath breathing hard, clearing my head and my Heart. I feel like I am ready to jump back into blogging, but, I must tread lightly here for I have felt this before and bam I seem to get hit again. One day at a time for me. Heck! One moment at a time! I’ll be on over to your place after I come home from the hills. If you are curious go google Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY an almost 1400 acre park that goes forever! It is huge, it is gorgeous and it is where God and me are bringing myself back together again. I bring along today a very appropriate piece of music by Deep Forest. LOL Talk to you soon!!! Love, Amy ❤

  11. Intriguing image Amy. Take care. I know how you are feeling. I will be going through a difficult period in the next few weeks. My father is in hospital and I am taking care of my mother with Alzheimer;s and some really difficult decisions are needed. But my blogging friends will keep me going.

  12. So glad to hear you are taking care of yourself, Amy. Health is first and foremost along with family. Without health, life would be so uncomfortable. So I applaud you for looking out for yourself. Lovely poem and photo to go along with this post. There is always more than meets the eye, or at the very least there is always more than one perspective. I see a small bridge over water in the photo…not sure if I see anything else. Oh wait, there’s also you within that photo…just that we can’t see you 😀 ❤
