    1. Marissa, taking care of “special” cats there is always something. I’ll be OK by tomorrow. A good night’s rest is all I need. I’m just so relieved Molly did so well. I have a pic of her with needles in her that will be coming soon. You will NOT believe how many needles she had sticking in her and she remained calm. Unbelievable!!! Love you, friend!! ❤ PS Sassy is Molly's biological sister. (smile)

      1. Yes, I am afraid that’s true, of always being busy with your ‘special’ cats. Was event thinking of that when I was writing but didn’t want to sound negative. Molly with needles? Was the acupuncture? Guess I will wait for the pic? (catupuncture)

      2. Marissa, this IS my Life and often times I turn here as a means to bring sanity back into my Life. I have a lot of responsibilities, many of which I do not speak of. And yes, catupuncture …. LOVE the name!!! LOL You are SO funny!! ❤

  1. “Awwwwwwww, how cute!???” A ready to make meal! Anyway, homiopathic remedies ARE the way to go. I hope her tummy settles down. Soar tummies just ruin the apetite… Here’s hoping you and Hubby both have a speedy recovery! You didn’t see a black mouse named: ‘Herman’ while you were there did you? Was just a thought…

    1. Hi, Darrell!!! You make me laugh! I have yet to answer the comments from my last post … perhaps tomorrow? Homeopathy and herbs are mostly what we use to treat our cats and us as well. Molly is the only one of our cats taking allopathic meds and we are in the process right now weaning her off of the one that is actaully killing her. Nice, huh? Yep, that’s how it goes a lot in western medicine. Here take this pill that will take away the symptoms but um in the end it will hurt you. NOT ALL meds …. but many.
OK, my friend! Hope you are doing well, and no I did not see a mouse named Herman while at this Vet. Saw horses though cause this Vet works from her home … a horse farm. I’m calling it early tonight but wanted to make sure we connected. A good night’s rest is all I need!!! GRIN!!! ❤

      1. Hello Amy; It must be a little discerting to walk in and see a horse with it’s legs crossed watching TV… Yes, modern medicine really sucks the big one! How many cats have you got BTW? I just have the one who sticks one nail in my back when he wants out at 4am. That’s why I’m up now. When I’m up, I’m up. True for you? You and Catherine are the only two people who actually have a running conversation with me. Greatly appreciated! Catherine is very depressed though and goes into hiding sometimes: she’s probably under the bed right now! I hope you’ll eventually find the time to explore my post on natural remedies for human beans. Times rushes by so quickly… I wish I were a tree sloth and lived in slow motion. A minute to them must be a week! Glad I could tickle your fancy once more. Well, I guess I’m done flapping my gums for now. Hope you got that much need rest you were talking about! Were you an Angel in another life? Love and Kisses: xOx

      2. As far as I know I most definitely am an Angel NOW, at least the last time I checked. We take care of 14 special cats and everyone one of them are LOVED. My cats know better to let me sleep and most times I am the one who gets up first. LOL I am right now about to start closing up gardens, Darrell, so my visits to my friends’ blogs are going to sparse and probably sporadic. Ya gotta teach that cat of yours some respect. OMGOSH if I had mine digging at me in the morning I would be in BIG trouble. I’d have so many holes in me I would be leaking all over the place. Love and kisses back!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      3. 14 cats??? So where are you gonna live? WOW! That’s a lot of cat food! Oooops! I gotta go… There’s been a threat issued for the lives and safety of Ontario residents!! Gotta keep an eye on the TV. I’ll keep you posted!

      4. I should take a pic of the huge stack of cases of canned food we buy. LOL You wouldn’t believe it. A threat you say? What is it this time? Another mumps outbreak? *tongue in cheek* I had the mumps as a kid and oh yes not pleasant but how silly I do seem to be alive. Or am I? 😉 Keep me posted, Darrell. I’m outside harvesting my Lavender … just came in for a drink of water and of course had to peek here. LOL ❤

  2. Oh she seems to enjoy it so much. A nice warm place to recover. I hope you all are okay. My cat is not eating at the moment. Nothing. Not sure what the problem is. Worries me. But then he seems happy…

    1. I have a few cats who have gone through phases of not eating. If I had not fed them, they would not be alive right now. We give our cats Homeopathy and herbs and in so doing, while feeding these guys, they did come back. I encourage you to feed your cat by hand. It can get a bit tricky and each cat prefers to be fed differently. If your cat is still not eating in let’s say about one week, please take him into a Vet. We just met with an alternative Vet today much to our relief who believes that the body can heal when given the proper modalities. I do not believe in western medicine as it is set up today. I am not sure where you stand, but in all things, QUESTION. And please please do not allow any Vet to vaccinate your cat especially now. I stay pretty much quiet on this subject because of the ruthless treatment I have received from mainstream medicine. I am taking a chance by speaking truth here with you. Please be open to more then what traditional medicine offers. And please feed your precious baby by hand (canned quality food). BIG (((HUGS))) and all the best!! Love, Amy ❤

      1. I totally get you re traditional medicine. I use a lot of homeopathy and try to incorporate all natural things that can help possible. I will take him to the vet if he does not eat soon. Our vet is a western medicine vet but she is really open to everything. I don’t really think he has an issue as his fur is beautiful and he is active. At this stage I think he is very picky. And he wants the dog food… that he eats… out of the dogs bowl while they are eating it. I think he might think he’s a dog… 🙂 We’ll have some fish for dinner and it’s something he really loves so if he refuses eating it or is not bothering me when I cook it then I will get worried.
I love what you were saying and I see the point re vaccination. Unfortunately I don’t have this option (to skip it) as we are away for longer periods of time and have to leave our pets with a kennel and they request the vaccines…He is not due to be vaccinated for a while though.

      2. Just do your best, my friend. That is all anyone can ask of you, including yourself. I am SO glad to know you are aware of the shortcomings of western medicine. Bless you!!! Love, Amy ❤

  3. Awwww she is so beautiful Amy. Wish she will be better soon. Please keep us updated with Molly also, I would love to hear about her reactions at her new treatment. Sounds like your new vet is the money worth. I really hope so.

      2. Bless you, Irene. It’s been a bit busy around here. And now with the closing of my gardens …. what more can I say? The post on Molly will probably be up tomorrow. I will be really speaking up about western medicine in this post. When you see Molly you are not going to believe your eyes. She is like a changed cat already. 🙂 (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

  4. In the nineteenth century, all the huts in Russia were designed to have a low, wide, stove with a layer of wooden planks on top and enough room for the family to sleep on top and get the benefit of the heat. I presume Sassy isn’t a Russian cat who has swum across to Alaska!

    1. LOL No I don’t think so, but she does crave heat. When the burners have been off for a while but still warm, she will crawl up on the stove top, curl up, and sleep. This was the first time I caught her like this though. It was so adorable I just had to share. You are SO funny!!! I’m giggling!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. Thank you for understanding, Dan. A good night’s rest and my Yoga class this morning have got me back on track. I had to write a biography on Molly for this Vet which was a lot of work, and I really did not know how she would tolerate going there. Anyways, she seemed to fare better then me … usually is the case. I fell asleep on the couch yesterday late afternoon and went to bed very early. Now I am back up to set foot in my gardens to get them closed for the season. I also have to address a few other cats who are having problems right now. Just a tad bit busy. I will be posting a pic of Molly while she was at this Vet’s, probably tomorrow. You are not going to believe your eyes. Have a great day, my friend. I will be visiting blogs when I can. Wishing right now I was about 3 more people then I am now. (smile) Love, Amy ❤

    1. I know. Right? Her face is just so precious. This is Molly’s biological sister and lately something has been going on with her that I still have yet to figure out. She may be next going to this Vet. I have about 4 that really need to go see this Vet. That’s a lot of stacked pennies. Yet, we are committed right to the very end to help these cats.
Just came in from my gardens where I am harvesting my Lavender. I cannot believe it is this time of the year already. Where did this summer go? *sighs* Love, Amy ❤
