In our greatest weakness
lies our greatest strength.
Yet to make the change
from weak to strong
Choice must be employed
to overcome fear,
Fear of facing that
which keeps us weak,
Void of power and truth
with wisdom ignored.
Courage when found
molds us into strong
So we may welcome
our greatest strength
As we take back
what is rightfully ours.
No longer prisoners
the cage disappears
Bringing us freedom
to fly high with the winds.
~~~~~~~~
Adversity builds strength of character
allowing self-realization to appear.
Lovely photos Amy!! Interesting, this morning I chose an affirmation from Florence Scovel Shinn on adversity – “Adverse appearances work for my good, for God utilizes every person and every situation to bring to my my heart’s desire.” Fits perfectly with your words!! Much love, Donna
Synchronicities!! I just picked a card saying I would see this phenomenon a lot now. GRIN!! What do you know? I am!! Temperatures starting today are getting warm so lots of flowers coming this way. This is my dilemma this time of year, Donna. I have the migratory birds I love to capture, then my flowers pop up all over the place, and then thirdly I have to begin opening my gardens. Time splitting has arrived ….. LOL. Here we go …… SPRING!!! Sending you much love today!! xo
Ritva, your photography is stunning and has such a soft quality to it. I was mesmerized by some of your favorite pictures. You inspire me as I look forwards to the day I am able to expand my horizons more then I am able to today. Incredible images!! You’ve got such talent and the natural “eye”. Big applause!! xo
“Choice must be employed to overcome fear, Fear of facing that which keeps us weak,…. ”
Beautifully said…
Your photos are Amazing Amy…. the strength it takes to push out from Dark to Light…. is what we are all of us going to experience.. These beautiful bulbs are showing us the way this Spring Equinox…
Wonderful photos and I love the poem. It can be looked at in so many ways and in many combinations about new life!
Thank you, Erika. New Life is all about stepping into the unknown, many times into territory where fear once reigned. If anything has taught me about my own fears, this past year has done a brilliant job at showing me so that I can rise rise rise and finally say no to those fears. Liberating to say the least!! Have a great weekend and Happy Spring!! Much love to you! xo
I think we all went through this in one or the other way. Even if it was not related to the pandemic, other conditions were provided to experience this stepping out of the known into the new unknown. So, the coming spring is a great opportunity to restart with a motivated, confident, and joyful heart.
Thank you, Amy, and much love to you too 💖
I love the close-ups, Amy. Spring is surely popping up. I had to laugh a little at your lovely thoughts. I was recalling all the times my father said something would build character.
Thank you, Dan. It’s amazing isn’t it when we look back with hindsight how our parents really did know a thing or two. At the time your father was saying those things, I’m sure you like me said, “yeah right”. We know differently today, don’t we. LOL Happy Spring!!!
These are beautiful Amy, as are your words. Both born of a love untold but grown as they are, from the roots of adversity. Thank you for sharing that discovery ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
Thank you, Mark! My greatest growth comes from adversity. It shall be extremely interesting to observe what GOOD shall come from this past year. Of course with the censorship that is going on here, we don’t know actually the GOOD that is coming now. I know there is! As for discoveries, I am finding them and shall be posting. The time however, for me this year, I’ll be closing comments. Opening gardens, capturing migrating birds in the places I THINK they will be, taking flower pictures, caring for my cats, keeping up with my home, editing pictures and creating posts ….. and more, nope. Just not willing to overdo any more. Just gardens as is IS enough! Much love your way, dear friend!! xo
You’ll always be in our hearts dear lady and a bit of disappearing will allow us to savor even more what is to come with your photo’s 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣
Aw, Mark, thank you so much!! Perhaps on the days it rains like in April I’ll open comments. But starting with my next post, they will be closed and I won’t be blogging. My gardens this year are a serious mess and I have to bring some order to them. These deer ….. do NOT get me started!! They destroyed so much to my horror and shock and I have to figure out what to do. Anyways ….. tomorrow I THINK I am off to do some birding. That all depends on Charlie who hasn’t been feeling well. I’ll see. I have a few surprises coming ….. shhhhh ….. not telling. LOL
Lol. I won’t tell anyone, promise 😂 🤣
And you probably saved all those deer from hunger during the winter dear lady. See, your doing God’s work and your not even trying. Just takes a ‘little’ bit more work come Spring 😂 🤣
Go with your heart my friend, I shall ‘feel’ your journey anyway, especially in what you will still show for us, thank you. Enjoy the warmth 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣
Your ever so gorgeous precious pictures speak to me clearly. So do your words – I am feeling the split layers of me, those of my strength and my weakness. You remind me of how the line between the 2 is a blur. Choice is powerful indeed. I hope I am actually choosing when I am taking it easy – the strength in me says Bravo for that, the weakness says why are you stuck? And I am witnessing as one.
When I read your comment a few hours back, what came to mind is this, Prag. And so I share. It is wisdom to take it easy when the body needs it. That is strength. Yet if we overdo on the resting and continue doing so when our bodies require movement then that becomes weakness. It is choice as you say. So next time your body wants to rest, don’t question it nor see it as weakness. Please be kind to yourself and your body when needed. Sending you so much love to you this day!! xo
As our leaves begin to change colour here in Melbourne, your buds are blooming. I love how our seasons are both depicting change, hope and new life. I LOVE your photos Amy and I just know you’re going to treat us with glorious images of birds, flowers and wonders of spring. We live in a wondrous world. Keep shining and inspiring my dear friend. Much love and hugs from me. xx 🌷🌹🌸❤️
I think it is so so cool that we live the complete opposite in seasons to each other. How exciting to see the opposites when we experience the IS. I’ve been opening my gardens the past two days, the earliest I’ve ever done so. It is just so nice outside!! I’ll be posting more flowers yet I’ve chosen for the time being to leave comments closed. My plate is overflowing right now so something had to be taken off. You keep shining too and inspiring all those you connect with!! Sending so much love and many hugs your way!! Love, Amy
Thank you so much, Diana. I have had a beautiful day, yes!!! I’m out in my gardens beginning to open them up. It is just so so gorgeous here!!! I would love to follow you but I don’t see a way to do so except for email subscriptions. I have so many followers I must use WP notification, not email. Do you know of another way I can follow you? IF you are following me, please unfollow then refollow and hopefully I can follow you via my notifications. WP has just gotten difficult especially lately. Bless you! I am blessed!! And I know it!! BIG SMILE! xo ( I used to be able to pay attention who is following me but my blog exploded. And my life is so huge!)
YES!!! Got it, Diana!! Thank you so much! Now I will see you in my reader. However, the next posts of mine comments will be closed. I’ll explain on next post. My life is SO busy this time of year. I won’t be blogging either ….. again you’ll see the explanation. I’m only one person and what I do in Spring turns me into Superwoman! LOL
Amy, how I love seeing all these signs of Spring! We’ve had more than our share of cold, wet, gray days here, so just knowing that Spring is on its way provides a lightness of heart. And I enjoyed your poem, too. Yes, that disappearing cage is a welcome thing!
Aw, thank you, Debbie. Next are coming flowers, lots! My cage has disappeared, my friend, and no one will ever tell me how to live my life. It’s been so gorgeous here of late so I have been outside as much as I can. I am opening my gardens right now, the earliest I’ve ever done so. I’ve got a really good start on them. Once the April showers get here I’ll have to wait. No worries. All things do work out for GOOD if only we choose that perception. Sending you much love your way!!! Muah!! xo
