    1. In observing my fur babies, the Love I witness leaves me humbled. I agree, Susan. All of us need Love and one can never get too much of it either. Much Love and I am praying for you!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

  1. My curmudgeonly old man Dweezil did the same thing when his companion cat Gabe when he became terminally ill. Their whole lives they never snuggled together and then at the end Dweezil was such a good caretaker. It’s so sweet to see animals like this. 💜

    1. Marissa, I am “faking it until I make it” right now and staying busy especially with those things I love to do. I have to. Karma’s loss snapped something inside of me. I’ve had just too many losses in my Life and with Karma, the bond we had goes so deep. I honestly thought he would be with us for a few more years. I know what pushed him over and it was the healing he poured forth for Molly and Prinny. It just plum wore him out and he had no strength to fight for himself. I’m so relieved he is no longer suffering. And some day we will be together again. That I believe with all my Heart. ❤

      1. He was very lucky to have you Amy! You’re in a very difficult position taking on the health of animals that are sickly and don’t live very long but the feeling of bringing something so wonderful to them must be very rewarding.

      2. Marissa, Karma lived to see his 17th birthday, a major feat being he was so ill from the age of 2. I work hard to bring a quality of life to all here which means I research and study and apply all I know. This undertaking I would not wish on anyone, for the emotional attachment and the evolvement of a family structure strikes such pain when one of my babies comes to the end. It’s so unbelievably hard. Now when my family is up and smoothly running again, the JOY in this, there is no other like it. My Mother’s Heart sings! I pray that in a few weeks these guys and me get back to normal and we can all laugh and have fun again. There is no more rewarding part of my Life then this, to bring health to someone who struggles with serious diseases. I treasure each and every day with all of them. When they all go, paying a very heavy price, that is when I will be able to chase my dreams regarding my photography and writing and traveling. ❤

      3. Well you’re definitely very aware of what you do and sounds like there are no expectations on your part beyond the pure joy of having a happy thriving family which is wonderful to see.

    1. Thank you, Kathy. Taking care of these cats is the most challenging yet satisfying thing I do with my Life. It just is so hard to say goodbye to someone I have Loved so completely and they me. (((HUGS))) back!!! ❤

    1. Yes, Sassy most certainly knew as did all Karma’s brothers and sisters. How Karma was Loved! And how he Loved! Our family is just reeling right now and I am praying for Miracles that something occurs that brings Harmony and Peace and Happiness back into this family. The first couple of weeks are the toughest and hopefully soon, all of us won’t feel so heart broken. ❤

  3. Poor Karma, but it looks like she and all of your furry friends lived a life of love. Look, they even welcomed the teddy bear even though it it so different from them. It is such a beautiful image 💜

    1. Mabel, that teddy bear, Buddy, is Karma’s best friend introduced to him when he was a tiny kitten. He always had Buddy around with him, always. Towards the end of his Life he didn’t want Buddy touching him or he not hugging him as his usual, so I made sure Buddy was propped up close by. Sassy is now snuggling with Buddy. ❤

      1. Karma must have been focused on getting well to be around Buddy. But Buddy is as loyal and loving as ever, and I am sure Karma appreciated his presence ❤ Hope he and Sassy will be a great team ❤ ❤

  4. So sorry for your loss, Amy. How precious that the other cat stayed with her until the end. We had a Maine Coon decades ago and Walter was such a sweet and loving guy and both James and I absolutely adored him. Sadly he died of a massive heart attack at the age of 2 and to this day, I still cannot talk about that sweet, sweet boy without crying as I’m doing now as I write about him. So my heart knows the anguish you are feeling and I know that no words can change that. Just wanted you to know that I understand. Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤

    1. Bless you, Natalie, and I truly am sorry for your loss of Walter. My anguish is extreme right now but with my determination to surround myself with those things I Love to do, I will be OK. Yes I let the tears fall. Oh believe me, I do. Love and ((((HUGS))) back to you!! ❤

  5. Amy, no words to express my sadness as I contemplate all you do to keep the animals feeling loved and teach them to act as a family does. Such love is a deep and abiding love give by their human Mama. You set the example for them to act as a family full of love, compassion and shared responsibility. Thank you for your actions which do speak “louder than words,” dear Amy. ❤

  6. Huge hugs and much love to you, Amy. It is so tough to release and let them go to next place, even we feel sure to meet them again. It is so beautiful to see, how they keep their love for each other, even so close to the end. You taught them unconditional love and they live in such a way, which I find very beautiful, dear friend.
Much love to all of you ❤ Irene

    1. My cats are the True Teachers, Irene. They are the ones who taught me Love as I was attempting to show them how to live together Lovingly as a family. I had a really good day yesterday but struggling today, so I have been taking it easy and plan on going to bed early tonight. I know as time passes the good days will outnumber the struggle days. ❤
