THIS IS A COVID-FREE POST.

We as humans require touch, hugs, kisses. To not have those things deplete us as social beings. We are hardwired to be cuddled, stroked, held. At times just with our eyes and voices we manage to touch another with the emotion held there, in a different way yes, but still very effective.
Just a handshake connects us to another in such a positive uplifting way.
No one has the right to tell me I cannot hug someone I love and care for. I have the right to touch anyone I love. Despite the non-touching distancing protocol in place these days, I will not give up my right to hug and touch another human being. Do you know how good a hug feels? These days when I do hug, I hang on a lot longer then I used to.
With tears in my eyes when I first saw him, I drank in the sight of my hair stylist after my absence from the salon of over three months. I approached him with compassion in my eyes and I reached out to hug him. Oh how we hugged! When we pulled away he looked at me and said, “Do you know we can get arrested for hugging?”
Then arrest me. I will still hug anyone I want who consents to be hugged.
Before I left that day, our second farewell hug was more desperate. We clung tightly to one another this time in such a way that said, “Take care and I hope to see you again.” When eye contact was made afterward, we both were a bit embarrassed for the show of emotion yet both of us had tears in our eyes.
A friend of mine told me her Mother-In-Law could not stand it any longer and hugged her grandchildren for the first time in three months and in so doing, would not let go. I say good! Hug away and allow love to flow with the Gift of Touch.
Recently a commenter stated how badly she missed hugs. My response? I’ve not stopped hugging those I love so why have you? I am not afraid to touch other people. I am love not fear. As long as I live upon this earth I will live from a state of love, not fear.
What is happening to the human race when hugs and handshakes are frowned upon or a threat of being arrested is hanging over our heads?
Thank God more people are putting aside fear and again walking in love. The glow on someone’s face as he described to me how good it felt to shake a co-worker’s hand, something he just took for granted, said it all. The Gift of Touch not only connects us but also lifts people into a state of love. I doubt if any of us will ever take for granted those small seemingly insignificant things in life, like a hug, ever again.
I am leaving comments open. Please do not leave any comments that are centered on or contain the subject of Covid. There is more to life then Covid. Let us all exhibit love here in my Sacred Space today. Choose to lift one another up right here, right now below in the comments. Reach out to give a virtual hug to one another. You’d be amazed how good it feels.
Thank you, and bless you all!

Thank you, Donna!! I had much trouble sleeping last night so I decided to put together a post. I asked myself what subject has been coming up lately in my life, and I saw the answer was hugs.
Bless you for telling me you could “feel” the love in this post. That above all else has encouraged me today. What this world needs is love. With that said, I’m sending you my love over the waters! BIG (((HUGS))) Have a truly blessed weekend!! xoxoxoxoxo

I agree with you, Krish, that there is nothing much better then a big warm bear hug! If it is fear that is preventing so many from hugging, we just have to realize what fear is preventing us from doing and receiving, and overcome that fear. When you feel comfortable doing so, get back to hugging, and handshakes and hi 5’s. You won’t regret it. Have a really blessed weekend! Much love to you and BIG (((HUGS)))!!! xoxoxoxoxo

Oh how I have needed this Amy! Yesterday I saw my daughter for the first time since this all began and she insists on the distance. But I got my hug! And when she left we both had tears in our eyes as she repeated over and over how much she loves me and wants me to be very careful — mainly referring to my recent fall and broken leg! Since I’ve tripped over that darn chair a few times since coming home I can understand her concern.
Lots and lots of HUGS to you! ((())) ((())) ((())) ❤ ❤ ❤

Puts a huge smile on my face, Angie, knowing you needed a post like this today. SO SO happy for you that you got your hug! Good for you! And yes please be careful! My gosh now you have a broken leg. Dear heavens ….. you are in my prayers. Much love and BIG (((HUGS)))!! xo

Oh, the leg has healed now. I broke it 3 months ago and spent 4 hours on my floor before anyone found me. I was up and walking two hours after the surgery to insert a rod, screw and bolt in it and have been walking up and down my outside hall ever since. Medicare almost refused to let me to into rehab because they said I was doing too well to need it. I think the doctor advised them that since I live alone rehab would be the safest and least expensive way to go!
It was wonderful just seeing my daughter for the first time in those three months. She has been super busy with her job as director of all the food banks in her county. Plus a son and hubby to take care of at home because of the school situation.
HUGS! ((()))

We are beautifully tactile creatures, and a hug, a warm embrace, are part of the human condition. To avoid such contact isn’t in our nature. Beautiful photos, Amy, keep on writing and taking photos. ❤

I meant to add that a friend of mine, now deceased, once told us all “two hearts are never closer than when two people hug”! I so agree with this statement. I’m so glad I got a chance to hug him before he passed. Such a sweet person!

He had a smile on his face, but I think it was more for the angels he was seeing than for those who are still waiting to see him again. Both parents have joined him so their wait is over. xoxoxo

I had that experience many times while working for Hospice, Amy. I’ve smelled the heavenly scent of flowers never seen in this world, and a few times have been walking toward that beautiful light when suddenly have been thrust back. I can’t wait til they let me come in.

Things have gotten a “tad” out of control, Dan. Just a bit. I’m doing my best to live within love and doing all I can to keep living my life as per usual. Thank you for not turning me in. I’ll remember that. (smile) You are a true friend in my book!!! May your weekend be a really good one! I hope your weather has been just as sunny as it has been here. Brilliantly spoken, Amy and we are born humans who love to hug and kiss and feel. You must feel free to do whatever you like. Leave all fear and worries. I loved the little birdie, so cute and such lovely pictures.

Beautiful photos. Excellent shots of the birds. Water lilies make such great subjects. It’s so green where you are compared to out here. It feels nice to be an outlaw, doesn’t it? Our legislature passed some really stupid, riduculous laws last year. Laws that are almost impossible to enforce, but were designed to be a burden and increase the costs of exercising our constitutional rights. I broke those laws last week and saved a friend $1,000.

Thank you regarding my pictures. Tim, you have no idea how much hope you have given me. I’ve been fighting here against the inhumane and downright dangerous and unconstitutional “executive orders” that people are blindly following and have gotten so worn down, I was just about ready to say “I quit” today. For you to come right out and say “I broke those laws last week” gives me confirmation that I am not the only one who is still able to think. My heart goes out to you knowing how difficult it is to continually fight for something that is our right to have. Do you know it is our constitutional right to NOT follow a law or executive order if it is harmful or unconstitutional? True. I could say a lot more but I do not wish to start a “war” here between those who do not understand what I do. Bless you from the bottom of my heart. Bless you!! Honest to God, I wish I could hug you for real! xo

Beautiful pictures as always Amy! I have mixed feelings about hugging right now. Can relate to all you are saying but also feel it’s loving to not hug right now given what information is available. I’m not so sure that choice for me is coming from fear. I do think there are people that are safe to hug and only the individual can know who those are for them.

Thank you, Catherine. I respect anyone who is not comfortable to be hugged so I absolutely understand your mixed feelings. You do what you have to do for you. It’s as simple as that. I am only hugging people I know. Hope you are having a great weekend!! Much love to you! xo

So much love in this post, Amy. Not a half hour ago, I hugged my little brother who lives downstate. Neither of us hesitated. Your post made me realize that he’s the only one I’ve hugged for months. Your photos were like a green hug from Nature.💚

Aw, thank you, Julie. Thank you! I don’t give out many hugs but those that I do I make them count and yes I do hang on for a lot longer then I used to. Very cool about you hugging your little brother. I love it!! Crossing fingers we get a bit of rain here to cool things off …. carrying around heavy camera equipment in high heat I’m just not willing to do any longer. No worries. I have lots of pictures yet to be seen here. Happy weekend!! And BIG (((HUGS)))!! xo

Amy, I answer to no one except our Father. I am accountable to the Creator of the universe above all others. My faith only resides in Him not in any other human. Another person has no rights over me. Thank you Amy for your wonderful photos. Stay strong and listen to your heart. Hugs and more Hugs. Sandra.

Sandra, your words come as a huge confirmation for me, for I have been reading no one has the right, including those who can write executive orders, to tell me what I can do with MY body. I’ve also been reading right from OSHA that what is being turned into “mandates” is unconstitutional for OSHA says regarding the usage of masks, “This guidance is not a standard or regulation, and it creates no new legal obligations. It contains recommendations as well as descriptions of mandatory safety and health standards. The recommendations are advisory in nature, informational in content…” I do not wish to begin a war here or a hot debate so I have stayed away from what I know to be true. I am of the exact same mind as you. I AM a Temple of God and no man has any right to dictate to me. I only AM accountable to God and God only!
It hasn’t been easy staying strong for many who have fallen under the “spell” of those who are telling them what to do are so filled with fear and hate towards those who dare to “think” on their own and “act” accordingly. I’ve been “attacked” right here on my blog and accused for things that I am not guilty of all because of what I stand for. And I haven’t even really stated where I stand. I AM LOVE. I will not bow my knee to fear. God BLESS you and I pray you stay strong and your mind stays intact in this war. Much love and peace to you!! BIG (((HUGS))) xoxoxo

And that is just it Amy, there is no war to be had. We are individuals who have rights as human beings. Each person has to decide what is best for themselves. There will always be something going on in the world where people agree or disagree. But the one thing it always comes down to, in my opinion is power and money. Neither of which anyone will take with with them when they leave this earth. And just like the old saying goes, “In the end when I am laying on my death bed, what will I remember” I want to remember the good that I did while I was here and to know that I stayed true to His word. 😉

Thank God there are those of us who see past the horror and see truth. Stay true to yourself, and above all, God. I would NOT wish to be in many shoes who are forcing tyranny upon us as they lay on their deathbed. I ONLY live good and righteous according the Word. Nothing else. Your opinion, fyi …. is the same as mine!! (((HUGS)))!! xoxoxo

Good for you, Miriam! I too prefer to live from a state of love, joy and peace no matter what is going on outside of MY life. What is the use to live if we live from a state of fear? No thank you! That in of itself paralyzes you (as you found out on your adventure) and it will over time kill you. Bless you for commenting again. I so appreciate you!! Sending YOU hugs!!! xoxox

But I walk as love and emanate it for others to feel. Beautiful photos Amy Thankyou for your passion for nature for us all🥰❤️
