This photo was just taken out our study window at 7pm EST today. You can barely make out our pole barn it is snowing and blowing so hard. It is really coming down and according to Hubby not about to stop within the next few days. Oh boy!! Yeah yeah yeah … despite my toes … Continue reading OH OH
Firstly, I wish to thank all of you for your comments and your concern. I have not read all the comments and I do not know if I will be able to answer them today. I am seriously tired.
I have just come in from digging through snow in this blizzard, for 4 hours. Recorded snow fall right now, 2pm EST is 49″ with 3 feet more expected to fall by Thursday morning. This snow may be beautiful and stunning, but, there have already been deaths. No emergency vehicles can get through. None. Even the snow plows are having trouble. They have these huge Deere Dozers in front of them, with a huge line of police cars and plows in back of them. I didn’t get a picture of that, so you will just have to take my word for it. This is bad.
This is the last you will see of me for a while. My husband and I MUST start digging out. I have to take care of the morning routine, feed me, and get outside. Here are three more pics of what we are up against.

This is just an “eyeball guess”, for as I said, I have yet to read or listen to any official report. But I shall. I still … Continue reading Taking the Plunge

The blankets that were put at the threshold of each huge sliding door, front and back, are keeping … Continue reading Day 2 of the Arctic Blast
