Why?

As a kid I drove my mother nuts asking “why” all the time. I stopped asking when I was punished enough times for asking. I learned to shelf that curiosity to avoid my mother’s wrath. Well, it seems my Cosmic Mother over the years has piqued my curiosity over and over again but this year it has been one wow after another. I’m in full blown wonderment by what I am witnessing, not understanding mind you what I am seeing, yet absolutely mind-blown. And so I ask why with immense pleasure!

Why are there Orchard Orioles on our property this year for the first time ever when only for years Baltimore Orioles have come to my sugar water feeders? To my knowledge, Orchard Orioles are not found in my neck of the woods (WNY). And why I ask, are the Baltimore Orioles accepting the Orchard Orioles by sharing their treasured sugar water when they are known to be very territorial?

Why I ask after feeding Hummingbirds for more then 10 years, am I seeing a new Hummingbird in our area that I think is a Blue-Throated Mountain Gem that is found in Mexico? What?? I live in New York State and Mexico is thousands of miles away! What are they doing here, not only eating but breeding as well? To my knowledge only Ruby Throated Hummingbirds are in our local area.

Why are Wood Ducks gathering in an open very large pond when they are found in small creeks deep in woods made up of small groups, mainly a male, female, and babies? Are they preparing to migrate or is something else going on? I’ve never seen in all my years of being in forests a phenomenon such as this.

Why is a rainbow seemingly streaming beams of light towards Earth?

Why is the sky on the right side of another rainbow a different color than on the left side of it? And why does this rainbow look so huge in the sky compared to when a huge airliner jet flew in front of it? Believe me, the double rainbow did not look as big as it does below before I saw the jet.

Why am I seeing colors in the sky some days that absolutely take my breath away, colors I’ve never seen before in our skies? There have been times I have been transported spiritually so high where I’ve wanted to fall to my knees in exultation.

Why does the moon look as though it is just hanging in the sky with a vapor trail from a plane behind it (how is that possible)? Why is the moon shining light on the same vapor trail? Again HOW is this possible? One last why. Why does the sky appear to be behind the moon as well?

Why have not one but two young bucks displayed no fear by walking toward me instead of bounding away? Imagine how low my jaw dropped!

These things and more, leave me pondering and wondering, extremely puzzled, asking what is going on? I am seeing things I’ve never seen before, experiencing things I’ve never experienced before, all leaving me asking, um, where exactly am I? I honestly couldn’t tell you some days as the bliss and euphoria lift me so high while my Guides urge me to “Ground, Amy” and I reply, “Not quite yet. I want to fly.” Does anyone have answers to any of the questions I’ve presented here with today? I sincerely doubt it.
