Reflections

Upon waking one morning my “Inner Voice” said, “Bring your camera with you today.” Immediately I asked, “What for?” Again that Voice said, “You’ll see.”. I was planning on going to the gym and had no intention of bringing my camera. Yet, because I was directed to do so, I did.

Driving to the gym I kept looking for something unusual. However, nothing out of the ordinary that I could see was occurring. I shrugged it off …. well, there has to be some reason I was guided to bring my camera. Perhaps this was a “test” for me to see if I would follow that “Inner Voice”. After parking I walked into the gym caught up in the moment, not even thinking about my camera.

I was looking forward to my workout and finding a friend who I wanted to show a picture to that I had taken. With a “feeling” he was there, I brought my cellphone into the gym with me, something I do not do. When I saw my friend, excitedly I rushed over to him. “Nick”, I exclaimed “do I ever have a picture to show you!”

Turning my cell on I proudly displayed my picture I took last week. His mouth fell open and his first words were, “No way! That is not yours. That is a National Geographic picture.” “Uh-uh”, I giggled. I then showed him my copyright and his response had me belly laughing so hard and loud, I doubled over helplessly just laughing! I couldn’t stop! The expressions on his face were priceless. He had conflicting disbelief and awe flashing all over it. He kept saying, “But that is professional picture.” And I in turn said, “I tried telling you I am a professional photographer but evidently you didn’t believe me.”

That was not the end of my delight. I saw that day for the first time in years, many around me unplugged without earbuds, actually talking to one another. What JOY!!! I said to myself, how nice to finally see people communicating again!!! My heart beat with complete happiness!

As I finished my workout I bent down to get my water bottle and cellphone noticing a dime and a penny on the floor. Hmmmm ….. I thought to myself. Eleven, a Master Number meaning New Beginnings. Wow!! This day is becoming surreal with all the Gifts just dropping from Heaven. Then heading towards the women’s locker room unbeknownst to me, there was a cherry on the cake waiting for me!

The very first person that came into my vision was a multi-cultural young woman and for reasons I cannot explain I was immediately drawn to her. I approached her and asked if she was going to school (she had a huge backpack), and if she was going to UB. Her mouth dropped open with astonishment wanting to know how I knew. She even went so far as to examine her backpack to see if a UB sticker was anywhere in sight. I laughed saying “I just know things”. And you know what? She completely accepted my explanation.

From there the conversation sky rocketed as I discovered this young woman of 23 and I had so much in common. Neither one of us could get enough from one another. We talked, we shared, we brainstormed, we listened to one other in mutual respect, we laughed. I had one of the most exceptional heart-to-hearts I have had in probably years. She gave me so much hope for our future and I told her so. After hugging goodbye, I walked away from that interaction with tears in my eyes and a lightness in me I haven’t felt for many a year.

And all these things I KNOW happened because I followed my Inner Voice and brought my camera. I do not ever know the outcome with anything I am guided to do. I just know to trust and follow that Voice. The Universe showered me with so many Gifts just for listening. As for that picture I spoke of, you won’t find it in this post but you will in the following one.

For now, just think about what I shared with you. When we become consciously aware of how Life creates with us, magic happens opening a world that presents us with infinite beauty, truth, laughter, lightness, and JOY. When we flow with the Universe and open our hearts in complete trust, walk in Love, and carry within our Spirits peace we create in partnership with Life. It’s powerful and it is incredible to participate in. Learning how to live in such a fashion will hands down bring all your dreams come true beyond the scope of anything you could even imagine!
