Feline Friday

  1. Your cats are superb, Amy and yes as they grow old they sure have complications. Even I have a golden retriever and now she too is 9 years of age and has lot of complications so every once in a while we have to take her to a vet. Fantastic pictures.

    1. Our cats truly are our family. Hubby and I have studied many years on how to take care of them when they don’t feel well so you may say we are our own vets. It’s a lot of work and dedication but we do this from the love in our hearts. So glad you enjoyed my pictures. May you have a really great weekend, Kamal!! Much love to you! xo

      1. Yes Amy a lot of love and dedication goes into taking care of them. My daughter knows how to take care of our dog and when to take her to the vet for regular visits. They are a treasure to have around. Same to you too. Much love and light.

    1. Rob, they are content. They know without a doubt they are loved and cherished. The communication we have with them goes far above human communication. For this alone, we are able to help them when they need it. Have a great weekend!! xo

  2. I love cats, and I enjoyed seeing these pictures of yours, Amy. They are beautiful and, according to MiMi and MuMu, are totally deserve the care you’re giving them. But they agree, you’re a good human.

    1. LOL Now I sure do feel a whole lot better that Mimi and MuMu have given us their blessings. Yes I am a good human and don’t my cats know. They are not only spoiled but happy and loved so very much. Dan, it really takes a lot of dedication to care for these babies when they get older and unwell. Yet that is part of being a parent. At least that is how it is in this house!! Have a great weekend and give those two fur babies of yours some headbumps and scritches from me. (smile) xo

  3. Ah Amy, the energy of loved fur babies is beautiful indeed. It may lead to a ‘little’ less sleep but your heart can be nowhere else but with them, regardless of the circumstances. Thank you for sharing all of your hearts ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
P.S. By the way, how is Karma the neighbors horse going? 😀

    1. Thank you, Mark. I’ve given you a brief peek what our life looks like on a daily basis. Surrounded by so much love our home has become a beacon of both security and love. As our babies become older, their care detail becomes complex yet because we love them, and because we have done our “homework”, we take care of them. We love them as only parents do.
Karma is well and frisky in the cooler temperatures. When conditions are right, we play a game called, “Karma, I’m gonna get you!” She runs. I run. She throws back her head, her tail high and laughs at me. No way will you catch me, she neighs! And I don’t. LOL Sending you much love your way, dear friend. xo

      1. Horses are very intelligent and ‘connect’ just as your fur babies do. I think the ‘connector’ may have something to do with it too, her heart is opening wide and they can all feel that…even Mother can, and allows you in from her ‘connection’. Much love to you also dear lady, from one of your ‘connections’ over here. xox 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

  4. Beautiful pictures and a lovely narrative..
One thing is for sure your heart and mind are in right place and in sync with each other…pets do develop whole lots of complications as the age and it’s not easy to take care of their needs…your babies look so happy and content cause of the care they are getting..
    Stay blessed 🙏😇

    1. Krish, my challenge these days is the fact many of our cats who are close in age have developed symptoms that must be addressed, usually on a daily basis. Some days I am so weary I don’t remember hitting the pillow. But! I wouldn’t have it any other way for I truly love these fur angels who deserve quality of life right up to the end. Yes it is very time consuming and yes it is taking away from my photography time. Yet, you are witness to pictures of Fall that I did capture despite the time constraints. I’ve got Someone looking out for me, wouldn’t you agree? Sending you many blessings and so much love!!! xo

    1. Thank you, Donna!! I used my long lens so that I wasn’t “too close”. Most of my cats do not like the camera so they do not cooperate on purpose. LOL Yes they are loved and very well cared for. The challenge for me is something I’ve known for years would happen. Many are close in age so their problems have increased that require addressing mostly on a daily basis. There are times when I hit the pillow at night I have no remembrance of doing so. Just at times get so tuckered out. I do what I do because I love my family. Simple. And about coming back as one of my cats … sorry, Donna. As of now I have no plans on getting any more cats so that I have the freedom to go where I want with my camera. However, that may change and I may have a cat that loves to travel with me. But for now, it is so hard to walk through when they get older and not only watch your babies declining, but to take care of them as well. It’s exhausting. Much love to you this weekend!!! xo

    1. Our cats aren’t like our family members, they are our family, Rosida. I couldn’t love them any more then if they were human kids. My husband and I do not agree with aggressive meds and treatments that medicine offers so over the years we have studied ways in which to address our cats’ health issues in gentle ways. As you can see by the pictures I showed, alternative ways to heal work and IMO are the preferred method. Have a great weekend! xo

    1. Aw, thank you, Julie! I’m pretty overwhelmed at the moment with 3 1-on-1’s and others needing more and more help. I knew this day was coming because the majority of our cats are within the same age range. The closer our cats get to going “home”, the needier they become and the closer they get to me. I love them so much, Julie. I’m running a marathon right now ….. yet by the grace of God I’m doing this. Understood perfectly about Grace …. my Sassy is a Princess right now. (smile) xo

    1. Thank you, Sue. Oh yes many a day 2pm my eyes do see and upon seeing, I know I’ve been up around 6am and I’ve not stopped. To do for me (workouts, walks, photography) I’ve had to learn how to squeeze into my day, with some days running a marathon just to get 2 extra hours out of the day for me. Every image I’ve showed here of late, has been taken in an hour and a half time frame. That is all. And when weariness hits, I have to choose couch or to push to do more. Yep, very challenging time in my life right now. It’s called being a Mom. Much love to you!! xoxo

      1. I had a casualty this afternoon, Biscuit our cat got into a fight with another Tom… came home with a broken claw stuck just above his eye… He was lucky… I bathed it and it’s fine.. It looked worse than it was… a fraction lower though and it wouldn’t have been… So I know with ALL of your family the work with diet etc takes…
Sending love Amy… Enjoy your week 🙂

    1. Yes every night three times a night, my Sassy wakes me up. I’ve adjusted. I’m a Mom and I do what I do because I love my family. God makes sure I get enough sleep and that I remain strong and healthy. xo
