  1. Not the same person who pops up whenever anyone disagrees with her on COVID? Like a moth to a flame. LMAO. Speak your mind, and don’t let the propaganda urchins for the left silence you.

    1. I won’t be silenced, Rob. I had more then enough of that as a child. No it is not the same person who pops up who you are thinking about. Think NY. I trained myself to THINK and not allow anyone to tell me how to live my life. THANK YOU for commenting …. so many are scared to say boo. I just will not let fear grab a hold of me in any form. Have a glorious day today!!! Sending so much love to you! xo

    1. I’ll rely the kudos to hubby, Tim. As I stated in the post, a lot of thought and effort went into this bench. It is perfect for me. I plan on keeping up with my work outs believe me. Thank you so much for commenting and may you have a really great day!! xo

  2. Oh Amy, I loved everything about this post. Your fur babies are gorgeous, your bench press simply ingenious (clever hubby!) and your backyard gym brilliant! Love love love that you’ve created your own outdoor exercise kingdom amongst those clouds and without having to wear a ridiculous mask. But what I really love is your strength and conviction. I can feel the serenity, freedom and joy in your words. Go you! You do inspire me so much. Big hugs and lots of love across the ocean. xxx 🙏💪

    1. SMILING!!!! Miriam, I cannot begin to express how relieved I am that I do not have to be involved in the mess that will occur as these gyms reopen. Oh Lord! I will keep working out outdoors as long as I can and then transfer everything to the basement where I have been figuring out how to do what. If people don’t understand the dangerous practice of wearing a mask while exercise, they unfortunately will live to regret it, or perhaps not even live at all. What a horror show! NO for me! Yes I have serenity, and freedom and HEALTH and joy. Yes!! Coming over to you soon. If I told you what my mornings are like you wouldn’t believe me. Many of my cats are older and need special care ….. and I give that care. I’m honored to inspire you, dearest friend. I think of you often. Sending much love over the waters to you!!! I wish I could (((HUGS))) for real!! xoxoxoxo

      1. I do feel your hugs my friend, in your words. And I can picture and sense your relief and serenity, I really can. I’m so happy for you and only wish that more people could see the absurdity of wearing a mask whilst exercising. One day perhaps they’ll wake up from their brainwashing. I can only hope. My hub, bless him, is one of those conditioned to feel the need to wear it at all costs. Argh.
Take your time coming over to me. I know how busy life can get, especially when our precious pets are involved. Thank you again for being there, being a voice of reason and love and well, simply being you! Hugs xxxx 🥰

      2. fyi …. My hubs is like your hubs. Remember what I said in my email? When the collective realize how harmful these masks are, then and only then will the collective be ready to hear the truth. Oh yes there will be individuals who arrive at their own conclusions individually of the collective. In the meantime, I do my “thing” and hubby does his. I will no longer fight on this issue with him. I advise you to let go of your Argh. I get it. I really do. You’re just stressing you out, though. When hubby is ready to let go of his own fear and darkness, (as mine) that is when the light shall shine. No worries. All is good.
Now off I go and do the rest of my morning “thing”. Good thing I love my babies. LOL And yeah …. simply put, I AM me! Teehee …. Night, Miriam!!! Love you! Sweet dreams!! xoxoxoxoxo

      3. Thanks for the reminder Amy. You’re so right, I need to let it go and just trust that the time will come when he’ll arrive at his own conclusion. Even though I knew deep down and instinctively that he didn’t think the same, I allowed my emotions to take over tonight. But yes, all is good. I’ll learn! And once again, here you are, my voice of reason. Love you too, my wise friend. Now go, enjoy your morning and we’ll talk more soon. xxx 🥰

      1. My goodness, thank you so much! I agree my bench press is excellent. When I used it yesterday it felt exactly like the one I had been using at the gym. I LOVE working out outdoors. Unfortunately where I live it gets very cold with snow so I will have to transfer everything down to our basement when it gets too cool to be outdoors. I agree with you about exercise. We ALL need to do some form of it to stay healthy. God bless you! I’m so happy you’ve been inspired!! xoxoxo

    1. Hmmmm … we could start our own business. Now that is a cool idea. So many are making hand over fist from the mess in this world that hey, why not hubby and I making a little cash as well? We wouldn’t be taking advantage but doing good. Well, when conditions are seen at the gym, people (the smart ones) will begin to think how to create their own gym at home. And that is where hubby and I will come into play. Huh. Now you’ve got me thinking.
Oh yes our babies do know how to make the best of sunshine. They know Vita D is good for them! Smart babies!! Much love to you! xo

    1. God bless you!! SO many are SO mask obsessed that they are not able to see reason! I am officially disconnecting myself from the gym mayhem that is about to happen. There was a young man of only 21 years of age who DIED at our gym last November due to obesity and asthma. OMG! To even think what is about to happen …. My heart so goes out to those who cannot think due to fear and follow rules that will actually hurt them. Your words made my day, Shweta!! I am so touched. And yes my Husband is brilliant as I stated, no exaggeration. Much love to you and huge hugs!!! xoxoxoxo

They shouldn’t be this senseless. I hate this virus so much. I just wish they was a cure or vaccine that’s guaranteed to produce results 😐

        Liked by 2 people

      2. There is no cure or vaccine that will guarantee anything. Like with life there are no guarantees. We can only HOPE that what we do keeps us well and healthy.
And yes this man’s death was not only heartbreaking but very traumatizing. No way will I witness that again at a gym if I can help it.

        Liked by 1 person

    2. PS I was there the day this young man died, and I NEVER want to witness anything like that again. I was so traumatized that to this day I remember. Unfortunately, this scenario will happen again with this inhumane mask order. I want to be nowhere near that when it does. God help these people!! Why people are not standing up and saying NO! is totally beyond me. Absurd!

      1. Wearing masks while doing physical exercises is insane! But on the other hand, I am of the opinion that masks are a must if adequate social distancing is not maintained.
I am one of the few who don’t have the luxury of working from home. So I have to go to my office everyday and closely interact with many. And I was in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus. But by luck, the sheer force of our immune systems and the fact that we were wearing masks and proper hygiene whenever we couldn’t maintain a proper distance, none of us contracted it. But in another offices, it spread like wildfire and many people contracted it before they were forced to shut down the office. Later, we learnt that a meeting had been conducted and that social distancing was not exactly maintained. All the people who attended the meeting tested positive.
But that being said, wearing masks while physically asserting ourselves is extremely dangerous!

        Liked by 2 people

      2. Agreed!! And, this gym is SO huge that when I used to work out there, the machines were at least 6 feet apart. So even before all this began, we were practicing social distancing. If there is anything that is coming from this social distancing it is respect for another’s space. I don’t know about you but I am uncomfortable when someone is too close to me. That’s how I’ve been all my life. That being said, social distancing in the right circumstances is appropriate. As our President and his Press Secretary keep saying, wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. And those are the rules I follow except I wear a face shield, unable to wear a mask.

        Liked by 1 person

      3. I don’t appreciate that either. When someone is too close for comfort but in my line of work, it’s difficult to do our jobs without discussion and team work. And often it’s impossible to maintain even 6ft distance.
I know all about that mask part. It must be so difficult for you. I hope this ordeal ends soon

        Liked by 2 people

      4. I hope it ends soon as well, dear friend. I know a lot of people who have basically been at home because they just cannot wear a mask or even the face shield. So much tragedy from out of all this that is still happening …..

      5. It’s a terrible time. At least they will be safe from any risk. To many like me who have no option but to go out and be near many others, it seems like a luxury. To many other who are cooped up in their homes, going out might seem like a luxury! Two perspectives. But there is so much tragedy

      6. There are two sides to every coin and it depends on how we look at a circumstance which will make it a positive or a negative experience. I am learning to appreciate every moment of life regardless of where I am and or what I am doing. BIG SMILE!

  4. Everyone has his/her own opinion about pretty much everything. People who want to disagree with me are welcome to voice their opinions on my blog; I may or may not respond. Only once did I decide it was advisable to delete a post, because it involved a new neighbor who took umbrage at something I had written (who would have thought people in my neighborhood even read my blog?!). My in-house attorney advised me to delete that post, which I did. And then we put up a screen barrier on our 6′ chain-link fence so we never have to even look at that neighbor. There are no issues with any of our other neighbors, and I don’t expect there ever will be. Works out well for all of us.

As for gyms – I’m not a gym-goer, but I did wonder how hard it would be to exercise vigorously while wearing a face mask. I sometimes wear one while walking the dog, if I’m in an area where people are too close together, and that’s hard enough.

BTW – wherever did you find dumbbells? One of my daughters has been looking for a set and having no luck finding them locally nor online.

    Liked by 5 people

    1. Hi, CM! These days are crazy are they not to the point I put up a disclaimer about the First Amendment? Honestly! Anyways … dumbbells. My first pair (15 pounds) hubby got lucky and found at Target. The others are from Walmart (online coming tomorrow) and Amazon (coming in about a month). Any kind of equipment is sold out! I know I will need a stationary bike and if I cannot find one I HOPE hubby can make some type of stand so that I can use my outside bike. Tell your daughter to try Target, Walmart and Amazon. I wish her all the best.
Neighbors …. One is sending me texts that I am now ignoring containing political jargon that supports what she claims is true. I’ve stopped reading or viewing anything political, just going about MY life as I want. Other neighbors on the other side of us have turned into a bar with very loud parties going on until 5am. I approached the landlords for a second time and complained and said three times they are out. I will call the police. We have a noise ordinance that starts at 11pm.
I am SO sore from yesterday’s workout! LOL Now to THINK what I can use for a leg press and how best to target my back muscles with the dumbbells. It’s been a very creative journey. I am NOT going to the gym. I know when I say it is dangerous to wear a mask and exercise. There is zero common sense these days as in horror I watch our great state and NYC come to its knees. I am doing my best to help those who have been hit so hard financially, emotionally, spiritually, mentally. Hope you are enjoying this dry breezy weather. I’m vacuuming. LOL xo

  5. Your disclaimer made me laugh, Amy. I love how you have come to own your truth. Everyone has the right to share that which they feel compelled to share. I admire you for having the courage to do so, even though it’s sad that courage is even required.

LOVE the bench press. Wish I had one!

    1. Sad is the day I am guided to remind people of the First Amendment. SO glad you laughed. GOOD! However, I will not be muzzled nor will I be NOT heard. People have got to start THINKING, Julie! My God! How many more deaths do we have to witness, how many more people damaged from these masks, before the collective realize holy shit! What are we DOING? No way no way will I be any part of the horror that is about to come in those gyms. If those gym owners don’t stand up for what is right, are they prepared to go through the rest of their lives knowing they are responsible for people dying and getting hurt? The leaders dictating these insane orders don’t care if people get hurt or die. I dunno what it is going to take for eyes to open. News flash! What is happening is NOT all about a virus.

Wish you lived closer. Hubby and I would make you one. I LOVE it!! BIG HUGS to you!! Sending oxoxoxoxo first class USPS! Oh no wait! I’ll send it Fed-Ex priority. LOL

You have the right to your words and what you write in your post. That’s a powerful cloud you captured too – perfect!! Have fun working out!! Much love, Donna

    1. I know Hubby did a great job, Donna! I am SO lucky to have this bench and when I did work out on it, it felt exactly like those at the gym. I’m figuring out how best to make an incline position from out of blankets and such and as well, figuring out how if I can make a leg press. Not sure about that. Sadly, the First Amendment in the USA has been extremely violated. Anyone even remotely conservative or anti-v, or pro-T, gets kicked off of social media. It’s shocking. Even doctors trying to get the truth out have been kicked off social media and then demonized. A few have lost their jobs due to trying to speak truth. I stay FAR away from the obvious socialism our media has become. People really believe this is still all about a virus? Shaking head…

That cloud ….. what struck me as odd how one side was straight. I was in awe at both how huge this cloud was and its formation. Our skies here have been outstanding this summer. Never have I seen such clear blue skies and for this part of the country to have this amount of sunshine is very rare. To say the least I have been enjoying the outdoors. Now to get my “winter gear” ready so that I am prepared to enjoy the cold. Have a great day today, dear friend!! Sending much love to you and yours!! xo

  7. It is so nice to be able to work out at home rather than at a gym, and I can understand why it would be uncomfortable wearing a mask while there. Though obviously in places like shops it is important to wear one if we can.

    Liked by 5 people

    1. We do not understand what we have not experienced and it is very evident you do not work out at the gym. Uncomfortable you say? Lifting, pulling, pushing weights, either free or by machine requires a full in-breath of air in order to exhale fully while exerting muscles. It is all about breath and form and it is impossible and dangerous to work out with the breath impeded by a mask. It is evident you are young. I am not. Many of my age are not even able to walk while wearing a mask much less exercise. I challenge you. Try to run with a mask on your face. Try to bike fast with a mask on your face. Try jumping jacks with a mask on your face and then you tell me if you can breathe properly without you feeling as if your chest is about to burst that is starving for oxygen. I am not only an RN but a seer, one who “knows” not only through experience but through “knowing”. If these gym owners don’t stand up for what is right for the right to breathe freely while exercising, they will have to carry on their shoulders the responsibility of people becoming ill, passing out, and some who will fall over dead from heart attacks. Don’t believe me? That’s OK. Again what you don’t experience you don’t understand. You couldn’t pay me enough to go to a gym right now.

      1. Ok, I actually used to go to the gym before lockdown, however I am not now mainly due to financial reasons. While I understand that many people are unable to wear a mask.
Though I know at my local gym, it is optional to wear a mask while working out, and I have seen quite a few cyclists wearing them- so it isn’t unheard of.

      2. Victoria, I know I came across strong yet when I see the harm that is coming out of the insanity around me I get passionate about what I know to be true. I just had a doctor’s appointment today and the subject of wearing a mask at the gym came up and it was agreed by this doctor(!) that it is dangerous and not only that just wearing a mask as she was doing, (sitting, walking, talking) was difficult to do. This woman was in her 20’s. If people wish to wear masks while biking or exercising, in the long run they will come to know it will harm them. Masks are mandatory at gyms here and not only are they but it is being stipulated you must wear an N95 mask. Gym owners are already saying NO this is not possible and how dangerous this is. I have worked very very hard for my health and I am not about to follow someone’s inhumane rules to bring harm to myself. I too have seen people riding bikes with masks on and honestly I cringe at the sight, knowing they are inhaling CO2 and instead of O2. I pray all those who are doing these things not realizing the ramifications wake up and understand how dangerous these practices are. I am speaking truth regardless.

No one rules over us, if they want to play their silly games than let them see the economy crash. You improvised and adapted to what suits you. Exercising outdoors is much better then a gym anyway. Keep it up Amy, 🙂

    1. BIG SMILE!! Despite what politicians are doing to this country I refuse to play their silly games but insist on living MY life the way I choose. NYC has been destroyed which to me indicates what is going to be happening to the rest of this once great nation. The way things are going, our economy is headed for a crash, a very brilliantly implemented plan that is unfolding. I’m watching a documentary that makes the viewer understand how backward when it comes to health and clean living our country has become. Yet there are those of us who have done their homework to stay as healthy as possible and to create a life that has nothing to do with the mayhem of today. Yes I have improvised and let me tell you it is empowering! I will keep exercising outside for as long as I can. Winters here are cold! May you have a really great weekend, Sandra!!! xoxoxoxo
PS I’m proud of you for keeping your eyes wide open. May our examples become viral so that those who are blind and deaf and who carry fear in their every pore, question why we are so happy and free. Hmmmm …. Oh yes, this is very possible with God!

    1. I don’t care how warm it is outside I’ve been working out consistently even in 90 degree weather. I feel so much stronger and calmer and better and living with chronic pain, my pain is way down from what it was. To have my gym taken from me in the way it happened this past Spring, was a major shock to my system. Now I do not have to be exposed to the dangerous madness that is happening at the gyms now and not only that, I have my own gym, I rely only on myself for my workouts. A win-win!

      1. Thanks for the inspiration & motivation. I can’t imagine using the elliptical huffing & puffing with mask in a gym. I did hiking with mask & I feel like passing out. The best safest workout with the pandemic at large is really at home. Winter is coming , many people have no idea of what’s coming. I do actual patient clinic care and it’s all now Tele health except those needs to be be seen in person and has no flu like symptoms . It will be my new normal till early next year. Preparation and adapting is the key to surviving. Take care.

      2. Yes preparation and adapting, as in being flexible and willing to change (NOT easy for many of us!) is key right now. I’m getting my gym little by little fully equipped. Some more dumbbells are on the way and then I have to choose a stationary bike. It will feel so good to have all in place. I’m making a special place for myself in my home once I bring my “gym” indoors when the weather gets cooler.

I’m not going back to my “old” gym. It’s a frigging nightmare what is going on. I gasp and gulp for air in the outdoors when I work out as it is, my sides heaving as I get my breath back. I can’t imagine working out with a mask on. Hands down so so dangerous! These idiots ….
