Come With Me

    1. Dan, the lushness I am seeing reminds me of the tropics. I can’t wait to return to this park to take a ton of pictures. I honestly didn’t realize how good the ones I did take came out. That lushness won’t last forever so I am determined to take advantage of it now. Have a great day!! xo

    1. Thank you for coming with me today, Donna. It is so so beautiful in this park. I cannot wait to return. I wanted to today but due to working hard yesterday I declared a “rest” day today. This forest has transformed into sheer magic …. perhaps tomorrow. (smile) Much love to you!! xo

  2. Thank you so much dear Amy for this awesome video and I felt I was walking with you on this beautiful journey thru these lovely walk with so many natural trees and so much at peace and love within my heart. Beautiful photographs. Loved them.

  3. Beautiful photographs. I LOVE the sound of birds singing and chatting. Truthfully, I’d be terrified to walk in those woods by myself. So unsafe. Beautiful but definitely not for me. Bad guys lurk in the woods around here.

    1. Oh, Gigi, I’m so taken aback by what you said. There is no danger in this park. Children are about with their parents, people speaking to one another animately, and the years I’ve gone there, never ever have I felt afraid. I feel so badly that you are missing out on so much beauty because of “potential” bad guys. I refuse to live like that! BIG (((HUGS))) xo

      1. Refusing to live like that is a dangerous thing in our forest preserves. Believe me. You never go alone and if you want to sit in your car to have lunch you keep your doors locked and your windows part way up. You just don’t know what it’s like to live in a different place. LOL There are picnics and lovely things and as long as you’re with a group it’s okay but you never go alone. It’s one thing to say you refuse to live that way but it’s another thing to actually know what you’re walking into. 🙂 Big difference.

      2. I had no idea your parks were that dangerous, Gigi. Now I understand. I thank goodness they are not like that here, not the ones I go to that is. I avoid downtown like the plague and dubious areas as well. The locality I do live in is safe yet I do understand the dangers out there. Thank you for explaining. Your words really did take me aback. I’m a nature girl, always have been, and I am at home in the woods. Oh yes, there are certain parks that I do know of that I won’t go near alone. There is this bike path, for example, that is beautiful yes, but two girls got murdered on. I only go on this bike path with hubby along. I’m really glad this misunderstanding has been cleared up. xo

  4. Thanks so much, Amy, for this summery and sanguine walk through the woods. The trails and trees just brought us into this lovely world, and then the close-ups of the wildlife were truly magnificent. The dragonflies, each one, are so engaging, and the goldfinch is superb. Thanks for these sweet moments, Amy.

    1. Thank you for joining me on my walk through the forest, Jet. I did not see much wildlife but I did see the small action in the high weeds and nectar that attracted the action. I really thank you for the words you left telling me how much you enjoyed what I shared here today. Hope you had a really good day today. Much love to you!! xo

    1. Aw, thank you, Rob. The serenity yes was very tangible. The couple I photographed were in their own little world surrounded by what looked like the tropics. Just a gorgeous day all the way around. Much love to you! xo

  5. Amy you most certainly brought me Peace and Joy, as I slowly devoured each photo with the beauty of birdsong helping me along my travels… The sound track to that video just lovely…
My own blackbird sang sweetly to me this morning… Though the weather here not so hot… 😀

    1. That sound track, Sue, was most certainly a Great Find and the beauty that I captured believe me I shall be returning to this park in order to obtain more. The lushness this year from all the rain in Spring then extremely hot and humid temperatures, are creating some tropical effects that haven’t been seen here much before.
Sorry to hear your weather is not that great. May it improve for you. Lots of love over the waters and BIG HUGS!! xoxoxo

  6. I have been a lot outside in nature lately, and mostly in the woods. (Due to my education, I am often out there now collecting plant parts.) I felt a longing to be there and when I was, I was confirmed how energizing, strengthening, and soothing its effect is. Thank you for the beautiful pictures. It totally brings the moments back!

    1. I’ve been outside too a lot, Erika, expect for the extended time our temperatures here soared in the high 90’s. That is just too much for me so I opted to stay inside. I thought just the other day how blessed I am to not only have my nose in good book, but I found a good series on Netflix to take my mind off of things too. Admittedly the series is getting boring so I hope I can find something else to watch if need be.
I hope that today I can steal away to my forest to again get some really heavenly pictures. After feeding my cats, I plan on flying out the door to enjoy a couple of hours in my park I love so much. SO happy you enjoyed and joined me on my walk in the woods. Much love to you! xo

      1. So good for you that you have the forest close by. At least it is not that hot there and still you have the energizing and inspiriational effect. Regardless of what else is going on, there is always something we can feel blesses with, right? Have a wonderful rest of your day, Amy 💖

  8. Those dragonflies are superb. All the veins in the wing are there and even the spikes on their legs for hanging on to their prey. Wonderful creatures. And the Monarch butterfly. It’s aptly named!

  9. May peace be within your heart also Amy. Thank you for sharing your lovely walk. The rainy weather here the last few weeks has prevented me from walking in my local country park so these pics have helped me reconnect. Love the bluebells and sounds 🙂

    1. I make it my goal not to allow weather to stop me from walking in my woods. I love walking in the rain except if it is a downpour and thundering and lightning. That is where I draw the line. So glad you enjoyed and came along with me on my walk. It is vitally important all of us are connected to Mother as much as possible. xo

  10. What a splendid place to take a peaceful walk! The first photo of the dragonfly amazed my eyes. A magnificent look at all its details and beauty. I had a dragonfly land on my hand once. A special moment. Thanks you for sharing this day with us. ❤

    1. Thank you, Olga. Happy to share with you a little part of my world. Those dragonflies are very challenging to capture clearly especially when they are constantly moving. May you have a really great day today! xo
