  1. Our first cat used to love watching “Big Cats of the Serengeti” a nature show on PBS in the 80s.

Let’s hope March can be it’s normal self. Gradually welcoming spring. Nothing fancy, Ms March.

    1. We have to be careful about the “real” videos, Dan. We don’t want to have a broken TV and hurt cats. So cartoons and animations are what will be shown.
March can be tricky. I agree. Nothing fancy, Ms. March. Just a gentle gradual transition. Happy Sunday!! xo

    1. Oh they are fed well, Andrew. That and these cats are mature and all mature cats gain weight, especially those who are always indoors. I do my best to control their weight then along comes Hubby who behind my back feeds them. Now I hide the food. Yep, I do! LOL Happy Sunday!! xo

  2. I love it. We bought a cat video for our cats, with birds, mice, etc., and had to stop playing it immediately. Munch, sat in front of the tv for two days, staring at the blank screen, scratching at the corner, trying to get at the mouse he saw run in that direction. Our other cat didn’t care about it at all. The top photo of your cat should be on the cover of a magazine.

    1. LOL Too funny, Gigi. Sadly we had to stop showing real birds and mice. Some of our cats went bananas. And thank you about Cookie. She is gorgeous, isn’t she? Believe it or not, she is one of the rescued barn cats. She actually had two litters before she finally got spayed. She’s this tiny little nothing and looks so pampered. I even have trouble some days associating her with the days she was a starving barn cat. Happy Sunday!! xo

  3. You really have good companies by those fun loving cats. I could not help smile reading the story about their reaction watching birdies on TV and they like watching Simon’s Cat. 🙂

    1. YAY for your words, Marie! From your fingers to the ears of All! Our temps are getting warmer bit by big and the blue sky today was just scrumptious. No I didn’t go out with my camera … Just so done with cold and it was still cold today. I’ll wait! It will be worth it for all of us! Happy Sunday!! xo

    1. I so agree with you about Simon’s Cat. LOL Hubby and I laugh and laugh both at the video and the antics of our cats. Happy March to you, Eliza!! I am SO glad it is here. I couldn’t wait until today. Seeing that it is leap year this year I figured yesterday was good to turn the calendar. And so I did. LOL xo

    1. Thank you, dear Mark. Our cats are very very loved and cherished. And yes I can feel the warmth around the corner. I was out this afternoon attempting to get pictures of Karma but she kept following me to nuzzle her nose in my neck. LOL I managed to get away a few times and quickly took a few shots. That’s all I got. Yep, I’m loved too!! I’m warm all right!! xo

      1. Now Karma is definitely a big bundle of fur. At least she doesn’t try to jump into your tv for the birds…um, you have been bringing her into your tv room to share haven’t you? lol 😂 🤣

    1. Serena! Oh my GOSH! You made me think at first as my memory was fuzzy. Then it clicked! How are you? I have no idea where you went or what happened, but I do know this. It is so good to see you again! xoxoxo

      1. Lol! I thought you may not remember me so I didn’t want to write too much in my comment. I’m good. How are you? How has life been? I have *so much* to catch up on here. I basically disappeared, but for good reason. My blog became too much, with negativity, and I needed to take some time away to grow, and become mentally healthy, which I am now. I miss writing so much though that I decided to restart my blog yesterday….and here I am. I’m so happy that I found your page again. Whew! xoxo (By the way, can I be a cyber mommy to those babies in the photo? )

      2. As you said, a lot has transpired between then and now. SO much happened and still is happening. I’ve grown and gotten my head on even straighter then before. I’m not blogging as much these days because I no longer am willing to “kill myself” trying to keep up with the numbers seen here. I’ve also been very involved in keeping alive some pretty sick cats, Cookie (the feature picture) being one of them. They are my priority right now. My cameras (yes plural and yes NEW) and my writing with my connections here, are many times my grounding to sanity. I could go on and on. Many Blessings have transpired. Many heartaches as well. But through them all, my life has bloomed into the direction I’ve dreamed it going.
I am SO SO glad our paths once again have crossed. I’m thrilled you did what you had to do and now are in a much better space. Good for you!! And yes you can be a cyber mommy to my babies. Each of them are precious and gorgeous. There is now even a horse who lives next door who has become my best friend. As I said …. lots has happened. LOL Much love to you!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  5. Hey Amy – March does feel better! February was rain, rain and more rain. Lovely Cookie! I had cats at one point in my life and it fascinated me that they could make out images on the TV. They’d especially react to the birds. I had no idea their brains could make out a bird image on the screen – maybe it was the movement, but they mostly reacted to birds. Fascinating really – would be neat to see how they see! Your kids are beautiful! Have a lovely week! Much love, Donna

    1. Cats are far more intelligent then what we make them out to be. Of course they recognize a bird or a mouse or a squirrel even on the TV. I would love to understand how they see too. Some “experts” claim they see mostly in black and white but the colors red and yellow they do see. All I know they know what they see.
You have a lovely week as well, Donna. I hope for your sake the rains stop. Now all it is doing is raining here. There used to be a saying, “April showers bring May flowers” but now it seems that saying goes, “March showers bring April flowers.” I dunno. Soon I will be showing flowers here. Even tulips are coming up already!! Much love to you! xoxoxoxo

  6. The bird in the film is a Blackbird such as we have here in England. They are about as big as your American Robin and if they are defending their nest, they can be quite a noisy and scary bird.

    1. Don’t they, Alexander? Barely any snow fell this year and when it did, it melted almost immediately. I’m so happy you took a look at last year’s post. Thank you for taking the time to do so. xo

    1. Thank you so much for sharing my art with your husband. My intention is to create beauty in a world that doesn’t seem to see beauty any more. Yes our cats are so so dear to us and yes I do have times that I still cry over those who are no longer here.
I will be over to your place probably tomorrow. Time lately is flying and I seem to be running out of it each day. Unreal!! Much LOVE!!! xoxoxoxoxo

  8. 😂 Now I really am smiling Amy! Those three are absolutely precious!! Did you ever get a chance to play any of the videos for cats from the one post I did? If you have, what did they think, if anything at all? I’d be curious to hear how it all went. If this photo is any indication, they’re a fan of birdy TV!

The Simon’s Cat comment made me chuckle. Thanks for this one, Amy. It was just what the doctor ordered! ♥

    1. Thank you, Holly. Yes those three are precious. And SO loved! No I haven’t had the chance to play any of the videos despite them bookmarked. Life of late has been moving fast too much so! Our babies love what they have been watching so all is good, especially Simon’s Cat. LOL Much love to you! xo
