This week! My posts have been brief for a reason.
We lost our electric for 5 hours on Sunday due to an extremely bad wind and lightning storm. Poor Rusty who was sleeping on my bed, careened sky high when thunder clapped directly overhead. In midair he pooped he was that terrified. Never have I seen any of our cats do this. We think lightning hit the school across the street from us. That thunder clap rocked our house so hard I thought our windows were going to break. And because windows were my focus, I washed them that very day.
We had two cat emergencies back to back with Doodles and Rusty. I myself experienced a healing crisis so acute Hubby drove me to my acupuncturist appointment Tuesday whereupon I just about collapsed on that table. I felt like Humpty Dumpty who fell off the wall. Oh yes that Blessing of a man helped put Humpty back together again.
Beginning Wednesday I am taking care of the horse next door to us while the owner is on vacation with her family. Just yesterday I went over there 6 times. The weathermen predicted BAD STORM so whenever it began to snow and that pasture door was open I ran over to bring Karma in and to close the door. I didn’t have to worry about Karma. She’s no dummy. She was already in the barn.
I managed to squeeze in a hair appointment on Thursday and instead of bemoaning how exhausted I look, told my hair stylist anyone who was even 30 years younger then me would have bags under their eyes. When asked if I was putting anything on those bags to hide them, I said, “Why should I? I’m not ashamed of how I look.” And then I smiled. Shrugging, I honestly didn’t care if I looked exhausted or not. I’m me, on my good days and on my not so good days. And that’s all that is to it.
My macro lens and camera came along with me outside in my gardens one day this week. I was crawling on the very wet and cold ground dressed in a yellow oil slicker. Quickly I edited those pictures to bring them here for you to view. January this year feels and looks like I’m down South somewhere, not in the Northeast of the USA. Enjoy my pictures!

We made it through the week just like I knew we would. Tomorrow is Saturday! Oh thank goodness for some, for others like me, it still is a work day. Happy Friday, Everyone!!
