It being Wednesday and all, this post will be brief. Mid-week. Almost Friday. Hump day. Let’s celebrate this day with pictures of ice which I played with in the editing rooms. I do believe you will come away from this post with a new respect for ice. (smile)
Angels’ Wings
Rods and Dollops
Mystical Waters
Frozen Reflections
Icy Beast
A New World
Now that you have seen the ice, perhaps you can slide with ease all the way to the weekend. Hey, anything is possible with the right frame of mind. Go for it!! Have a great day today!

Very nice photos Amy. You write about a topic that I do not know.
Thanks to climate change, my thermometer today shows 16 ° ice and snow, a relic from times gone by, sad but true.
Greetings Werner

Our weather as well has been extremely odd this year, Werner. To have no snow on the ground at this time of year is something I don’t think I’ve ever seen. This weekend though it is supposed to snow so perhaps I will be able to photograph some beautiful snowscapes. We’ll see. Have a great day!! xo

Many thanks for sharing. Mystic Waters my fav … and the next one (Rods & something) made me smile because it reminded me of selling microscopic bacteria images.

Yes! Those rods reminded me of bacteria under the microscope. There is a certain name for them but it escapes me now. Mystic Waters is my fav too. Have a great day today, Frank!! xo

Ah, yes!! Correct! Microbiology was a nightmare for me. But I passed with an A. So that knowledge is still “in there”. It just has to be pulled out. LOL

No bio major here. I had to take microbiology for my nursing degree. And it was tough! Loved Anatomy and Physiology. Now THAT I could have majored in!!

Close enough. Micro not one of my favorites … love A&P tough … along with environmental course (because they made the most connections for me).

Happy Wednesday to you, Irene! So happy you saw this ice. I was hypnotized that day by this ice. I stared and I stared, just taken away until a section really called out to me for my camera to frame. Much love to you this day!! xo

Great shots of the ice AR…Loved the colors in the mystical waters one! Liked them all but that was my fav….Almost weekend! More cold and snow coming our way…January at it’s finest. Hugs..VK ❤

Mystical waters as I played with it had me heart and soul, VK. The ice overall just tugged at me and had me standing for a long time on the shore just staring.
Getting colder here too. As of today I’m taking care of the horse next door as our neighbors go to Florida for a week. Hope to get some pretty unique photographs of me mucking out the stall, feeding Karma (the name of the horse now), and while she is rolling around in the mud. Perhaps some pictures of me brushing the mud from off of her. I’ll need Hubby to help me with this project. I hope he will agree.
Much love to you!! xo

Ali, SO glad you came by to see my ice pictures. I couldn’t agree more with you about stopping to notice the beauty in the world. I must admit when I’m busy my focus is not on Mother. I wish things were different. But when I’m out and about believe you me, my complete attention is exactly in Wonder World. I’m hoping my effortless slide lands me in my weekend too. Much love to you!! xo

Yup, I agree. I am looking out my window right now and it is snowing, really coming down. And sure if I don’t have the horse next door’s pasture door open. I have to go back over (4th time today!) to close up. *sigh* Can’t seem to win today! I’m taking care of Karma until our neighbors return home from Florida next week. Big job, big responsibility.
Hope you get more rain ….. Much love to you! xo

Oh my goodness, Eliza! You win! I’ve been wracking my brain all day today knowing there was a certain name for the bacteria I saw under a microscope. If I remember correctly, they have a negative charge and they cause some pretty nasty diseases. Thank you so much for refreshing my memory!!

Holy moly, the compliments I’ve received of late are just blowing me away! How can I thank you for appreciating what I love to share? Bless you for such a high compliment! I am indeed honored. When there is love involved, anything is possible. I’ve steadily improved with my camera skills over the past 25 years and today there are times I myself look at my images, and such a sense of awe comes over me. Who is this person who can bring such beauty into this world? Me? Wow! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Cher! xo

SO happy you enjoyed these images of ice, Donna. That mystical one caught my breath believe me! I really took my time with the original composition and the way I cropped and edited these images. I’m astonished by what was created. I am sliding into a good weekend. We had a couple of pretty stressful days with our cats but now it’s smooth sailing. Much love to you! xo
