Do your best
when you get bothered
to be as a duck
water flowing off your back
so as not to be bothered at all.
~~~~~
When you are broken
and a mess
there still is great beauty
within that chaotic mess
that selectively draws order.
~~~~
In the stillness of the moment
and with a willingness to see
you then begin to view
the magnificent design
and the Connectiveness of All.
~~~~~
When we train our eyes
to see through Maya
the filter of illusion and lies
we will then see
the unusual and sublime.
~~~~
When you are awake
you then understand
that life as once you knew
has become a dream.

Super pictures AR…What a gorgeous duck! And that swamp looks a bit haunted…Glad you got out and about before this storm hits! I am not looking forward to it at all, but what will be will be…I hope you stay warm and dry over there…Thanks for sharing these pix…..Hugs and love…VK ❤

Thank you, VK! I was really surprised to see those ducks (oh yes there was more then one) and in speaking to a volunteer who works at this park, was told that some Mallards stay all long here. I did not know this. I was out and about days ago when it was warm. Today however is a different story. Ice. I want to get out there with my macro to get some pretty cool pictures. I do have to think of my safety though. There is a Buffalo Bill’s football game scheduled today. I hope they cancel it. It is nasty out there! Hugs and love to you! xo

Ha! Funny….That one pic you took of the hanging tree out over the water, I thought it was ice covered when I first looked at it. Cool picture! Stay safe out there. Ice is no friend while walking! Happy day to you. Getting ready for the storm due in shortly. xxoo VK ❤

I was safe, VK. I did manage to get some ice pictures. Now will I show them? We’ll see what this week brings. I never know ahead of time what I will be doing next with my camera. LOL

Aw, thank you, Lorrie! I know your heart is with mine and that you “understand” the words these images, yes these images, guided me to write. It was the coolest thing. As I am editing, I began to hear words. So I went back and forth between PS and WP. This is the first time I heard words like this so clearly. This “connection process” does not ever cease to amaze me!! Much love to you!! xoxoxo

Awesome, Irene!! You get the words’ meanings!! Beautiful!! As I told Lorrie just now, I actually heard these words right from the images themselves as I was editing them. This is the first ever I have heard words this clearly and loudly. Amazing! Sending you much love and big hugs in return!! xoxoxo

Your words and images rekindled the glow in my heart. Last night I had a sudden, but soft shift of perception about personal chaos and heartache. The pain shifted into gratitude that I am able to feel so deeply. It’s a gift that few have. You know what I mean, because you have it, too. 🥀

Aw, Julie. Thank you! So humbled I was able to rekindle the glow in your heart. And yes I know exactly what it is like to feel so deeply you know it goes as far as your soul. Personal chaos and heartache has been paramount in the past week but suddenly peace came in on soft wings. Tough love was applied here and there, tears were shed, horror was seen, close calls came and went with my babies … and then blessed blessed peace. Thank goodness!! Embrace that softness and rejoice within it. Bless you! (((HUGS)))!!! xo

Gorgeous photos, Amy. But don’t go out today – I almost slid off my own side porch when I took Cody out this morning. Thank heavens the fence runs right up to the steps so I could hold onto it – but my feet were still slipping out from under me. Bet I made quite a spectacle! As tempting as it is to go out and take ice pictures today, I think I’ll opt for safety. You should, too.

Thank you, CM! So glad you enjoyed my pictures today. As for going out …. I did and I was safe. Due to the past week of the ultimate emotional experiences that blew me to smithereens, my hands were not quite steady so I’m keeping fingers crossed my macros can be salvaged. I’ve yet to upload them into my computer.
As for you! Thank goodness you did not fall! Hope you had a great day!! xo

Wonderful photos, Amy. I, too thought the tree hanging over the River was covered in ice. That’s the problem with viewing on a phone.

Ah! That’s the “illusion” I created in PS, Dan! It’s not your phone. LOL I deliberately wanted a foggy, icy look to something that reminded me of lace and ice to begin with. I’m so glad you enjoyed these series of images. I’ve been experimenting in the editing room, getting some pretty cool effects. Hope you are having a great Sunday. We’ve got an ice storm going on …. I WILL be going out to get some pics!

I hope all the kitties are doing well. Sweet babies. The photo of the duck is beautiful, the green, just electric. All of your pictures are beautiful. 🙂 Hope you’re feeling better.

I agree with you, Gigi, on that green on the Mallard. I was surprised to see such brightness at this time of year. And yes that is the actual color. I did nothing to enhance it. My kitties are having me run most days and that is the main reason why I’m not here as often as I would like to be. All are stable at the moment, thank goodness! And thank you about my pictures. My heart and soul are in them! As for me, I’m still recovering from the huge shock I received last week in witnessing a 20 year old young man die at the gym. May your day be a good one!! xo

That is a huge shock! I’m so happy to know the kitties are doing well. That’s a Christmas gift in itself. ❤

It was, Gigi. And yes, Christmas gifts are already coming in …. The most important of them being, my babies, though struggling (some of them) are happy, loved and stable. I can breathe. (smile)

Considering the season you are doing well Amy. Plus it gives you a little more time in the editing area to create more of these lovely images 😀
Thank you for sharing dear lady, may there always be a bit of Mother to cheer you on 😀

As you can see, the Horse called Life has had me galloping. Finally I am catching up here.
I have been playing around more in the editing room, Mark, which in of itself gives me great comfort as I still struggle to recover from the huge shock I received last week. The creations that I am doing are so cool, in my humble opinion. See? Good really does come out of all!!
Mother is my main source for healing, dear friend. I believe you know this. May your day be a great one!! Much love!! xo

The last stanza spoke to my AmyRose. It’s waking up, from fogs or dreams or even nightmares, but a new awareness-that makes such a change.

The Horse called Life has had me galloping at break neck speeds. Finally I am catching up here as I plug away at the comments that again have me buried. (LOL)
I’m touched that my post spoke to you, Colleen. Never before have words so clearly been heard right from the images themselves as I was editing them. I was switching from PS to WP as I was editing in order to write the words I was hearing down so they would not be lost. Hope you are having a really good day!! Much love to you! xo

It’s all so very interesting when I visit this blog.
From water off a beautiful duck’s back, to your family off your back; you embrace a lot of intellectuality & humanity.
Your pics are the best, but sometimes your thoughts are better!

To say the least, Resa, I’ve learned so much this life! And yes I share that wisdom. I think at times as to who I was years ago and honestly? I don’t even recognize myself.
Thank you so much for your compliments! I’m touched, dear friend!! My apologies for getting back to you so late but last week, getting the shock of my life witnessing a 20 year old young man dying at the gym, has caught up with me this week. Much love to you and many many blessings!! xo

Lovely photos, love the duck and what a very nice opportunity to see up close. The last photo, the dreamy one – really took me away. I could see it as a book cover that everyone would want to read. Great messages too, wonderfully simple words that can make such a huge difference! Cold here, lots of frost – no snow. Hope you are staying well! Much love, Donna

Hi, Donna! Funny what you said about the last picture because Hubby said the very same thing about the forth picture, the one above the image you are talking about. It was so therapeutic for me to edit these pictures. I’m still processing the shock of last week. So happy you stopped by, dear friend. Thank you! Very cold here with yes snow and ice on the ground. I did capture some fantastic ice pictures …. now to get around to edit them. I also have a pic of a Cooper Hawk sitting on a tree in our backyard very close to our house. I’m staying as well as I can. I want so badly to go outside with my camera today but my house desperately needs to be cleaned and I have also to make my elderberry syrup, along with at least one load of laundry to get done. *sighs* Oh to have a life that I could do my photography solely. Perhaps I will be able to get at least a short walk in today …. it is bright and sunny. Much love to you!! xo
