Where?

  1. Good thoughts AR…I have always said forever now, I believe in God but refuse to worship him or go to church, for he is not there. Nature is my church and I DO NOT worship it or him or her or whomever. I enjoy it and it reminds me to be thankful. We are not meant to worship Creator nor are we meant become ‘God fearing people’….Creator would be so disappointed at how we have been deceived. But no longer….Go forth into the wilds of nature and speak and you shall be heard, not by words, but by beauty….Have a happy AR. Love the sleeping kitty… 🙂 Hugs and love…VK ❤

    1. FYI …. I feel the same way as you do, VK. I have a “communion” with God through Mother. She lifts me up, comforts me, listens as I pour forth my troubles, and She is the one who takes my brokenness and puts me back together again. The relationship between “Creator” and “Created” was meant to be open and honest and true. And it was meant for us to work together as a TEAM.
The sleeping kitty is Rusty. My heart just went into my throat as I watched him sleeping so deeply. Even when I ran the blender, he did not budge. Have a great Sunday!! HUGS!! Much Love! xo

  2. The beauty in these nature shots is so inspiring Amy.
I think it should be a law that to start each day we should go for a walk in nature for 30 min, I bet it would change all our lives for the better 😀
Actually I think a lot of us probably wouldn’t want to come back into the world after such serenity 😀

    1. No matter how many times you or anyone tells me how beautiful my photography is, I do not ever tire of saying a sincere thank you. To be appreciated and for you to really see the “message” not only in my words but in my images, bring Great JOY to my heart. My heart is calling me today in fact, to go out with my camera. It’s been awhile and boy do I need my “fix”. And yes it is true …. many a time I do not want to re-emerge into the world. Much Love to you this day!! xo

  3. Amy, this is a wonderful way to bring God’s presence closer in our everyday lives. God is in everything and we can find him in the most simple forms. Once we open our eyes we are astounded how present He is. Thank you for this inspiring journey!

    1. This post was inspired from 2 sources, Erika, which got me thinking when we become aware, God is everywhere. And when we carry that Connection deep with our hearts, we can Connect anywhere, anytime. This is why Mother is so important to me …. She is my source of Connection. Hubby told me my eyes see things normally not seen by others …. yes true. I go deep into a world, a world that holds so much magic in so many ways for me. If all of us can just grasp the importance of Mother and Her place in our lives, we can Connect so much easier. Thank you for reading this post. May your Sunday be blessed! xo

      1. It is no surprise that you are so into photographics. This way you automatically look out for the detail and the hidden things to make visible what we have forgotten about. A stunning combination. I love what your hubby said. Yes, you are a herold, Amy!
Thank you and have a blessed day too 💖

    1. Thank you, Irene! Yes Rusty is adorable isn’t he? He was SO out that when I ran the blender he didn’t budge. Now that is a deep sleep!
Easier said then done to stay positive 100% of the time. That’s just not earth’s way, unfortunately. I wish it were, however.
Apologies for the LONG delay in email. I” respond when I can. Much Love to you!! (((HUGS)))!! xo

    1. Oh yes I have, Dan, and you know there will be more coming. However, yesterday on a huge learning curve to my detriment, I ran into my Love, Mr. Green Heron. I found out the “hard way” and “after the fact” that certain settings on my camera were slowing burst speed down. Grrrrrr …… Yet!! I still managed to get some phenomenal shots that will be coming!! A cool story as well will be heard along with Mr. Green Heron’s appearance. Crossing fingers I can get a few more series of him before he flies to warmer grounds.

      1. Ha ha – no thanks. I have thousands of pictures to sort and stick on Flickr. I stopped uploading to Flickr when Verizon owned the service. Now I want to back will about two years worth of photos. It’s not going to be easy.

    1. Yes, Wendi, when we become aware of what is really around us all the time, we know God is present everywhere. My special connection to God is Mother Nature. I made that red branch pop deliberately so to hear I did a good job and you really like it, puts a big smile on my face. Hope you are having a great day!! xo

  4. That’s such a beautiful message. There’s a saying in my mother tongue that God can be found even in a pillar or a rod of steel. I know, it doesn’t have that much of an impact when translated to English! That sleeping cat is way too cute, Amy! ♥️

    1. Hi, Shweta! That sleeping cat is our Rusty who is the whirlwind of the house. He has my heart all twisted believe me! I understand the saying …. God truly can be found anywhere and in anything. I am so touched you enjoyed this post. Much Love to you! xoxo

  5. Dear Amy Rose,
It’s been another pleasant and enlightening visit to your blog. This post I am using the comments box to talk to you in, is so positive! I agree with all the things you say. There is a lot of beauty to focus on, especially sleeping cats. (Just a bit cheeky!) I just did a take on all the idiot things going on in our world, by inventing & drawing a Superhero to fight them.
Of course my Superhero is female, and has different out outfits to fight various crimes.
It’s not as good as a sleeping cat, but getting there.
Your photos are as breathtaking as ever, and I love the new Photoshop techniques you have discovered.
As for the fear thing… I get it! I’ve been there and found the impetus, a few times. Working on one now…. but afraid to dig deeper…. I know it won’t go away until I unearth it.
I have a man in my life for MANY years. It’s a solid deal. However, early on, I would pick fights, and challenge him to leave. He never did. One day in the midst of one of these very uncomfortable happenings, I suddenly realized.
My father had abandoned my mom, sister and me, when I was 4.
Here I was, all these years later, challenging a man to leave me, again. Show me all men are shits and leave, abandon who they are supposed to love!
I saw it clearly. In the middle of everything, I told my N what I thought I was doing. I was afraid he was going to leave, because that was my deep seeded knowledge of how it worked.
It was a wonderful thing for both of us.

    1. LOVE the idea of your superhero, Resa, and of course SHE must be female! As for your fear …. how our past effects our present is shocking, isn’t it? What a breakthrough for you in seeing the truth! Oh yay!! That is the first step to freedom! And then you actually found the courage to bare all to N about the truth and why you were acting the way you were, and (tears) now something so profoundly deep has not only been healed but your relationship is no longer in trouble over your fear you kept playing out. I’m so darn happy for you! I could just kick up my heels and dance!! HUGE (((HUGS)))!!! and an even bigger congratulations!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!! xoxoxo

      1. You re the most positive, encouraging person I have ever met.
You draw things out because you share.
Even when you are unhappy, there are notes of resilient beauty.
Things go from good to wonderful around here, even when life strikes a blow.
We both love our cats, and take good care of them. You are my best cat lady, and Georgiann. xoxoxoxo Sending LOVE!

  6. Beautiful post. Not just beautiful because of your stunning photography. But because of the heart and intent in the writer. 🙂

I agree with your sentiments. When we feel like our world is spinning, it is sometimes hard to notice the small blessings because we are waiting for the big ‘change.’ Yet daily, even in the midst of our storms and battles, our Lord sends the birds chirping, the soft breeze, the stunning color displays in nature, the sunrise and sunset, and the breath we have in our bodies to enjoy each of these. It isn’t always easy to appreciate the simpler aspects. Yet gratitude for what blessings we do experience daily changes our hearts instantly. Love changes lives.

God is waiting, always, for us to see Him everywhere. For us to talk with Him, walk with Him and fellowship with His goodness. He longs to lavish His love on us, even in the most simple, but profound moments we experience.

We can not control what people around us do. We can only control ourselves and our perceptions. Though the world seems to have gone mad, we have hope. Hope in Our Creator and the love He has for us in our lives. We are never without help, even when the road seems dark.

Many many blessings coming your way and a much brighter day 💕 ~ Love, Holly

    1. Your comment, Holly, I’ve read several times and each time my heart is so touched. Sounds to me as if you really know how to find God and to live through a mindset of gratitude and Love. From where I am sitting, that ability has been hard-won. You have been such a Blessing to me of late and the gratitude I hold in my heart is infinite.
*I tried the Easy Breathe once today as soon as I received it, and 2 out of the 3 cats immediately showed a response. The 2 that did, were NOT eating …. I had been feeding them by hand. I’m like…. you’ve got to be kidding me! The third cat has a “deeper” problem so I will just keep giving this remedy to him. I cannot thank you enough for this referral! I’ll keep you updated!*
Much Love to you! xoxoxo Amy

      1. Aw! What a precious reply, Amy! I am grateful for you and your life as well.

My relationship with the Lord is definitely everything to me. It is the driving force of my life. It has been a tough life and without my personal relationship with Jesus, I would have been gone. Of that I am wholly certain! 🙂 The grief was just too intense. So I do definitely understand what you speak of with hard-won. Indeed it is. I’m thankful to God you are here and are sharing your life with each of us.

Wow. Please do keep me updated on the Easy Breathe. That is simply amazing! I pray the good news keeps on coming for each of them!

        All My Love, ~ Holly

      2. Again to state I am flabbergasted would be an understatement. To see both of these cats eating after WEEKS of not eating and me feeding them 3 times a day, eating and with gusto, blew my mind! I pray these solutions keep working. Sometimes remedies seem to work great at first and then they fizzle out. Time will tell!! God bless you! xo

    1. I so agree with you! I’ve been struggling with a circumstance that has circled back into my life (oh-oh something else I need to learn!) which has me rocking with emotion. I’m working on forgiving and walking in peace and nothing less. I went for a stroll in one of my favorite parks today and for almost 2 hours, I honestly felt my soul soar to heaven. That elusive peace I felt descend ever so softly. I could have stayed all day! Much Love to you! Keep on creating beauty! High 5! xo
