I am always learning. Always. It seemed it was time for me to learn something new in my editing room. I use Photoshop just so you all know. I came across a blog recently that showed two functions in Lightroom that to me were new, camera calibration and radial filter. Knowing Lightroom and Photoshop share the same functions, I quickly watched the video and the very next day started playing in Photoshop. For those of you who are photographers I included the link to the video I watched.
I couldn’t believe what I could do. I chose some of my flowers, one of our trees, and last night the Moon. Rubbing my hands in glee, I declared, “Let me see what I can do!” And do I did! I oohed and aahed when the little kid came out to play. Wanna see? Enter the gallery where under each image, you will see a brief explanation of what I did when I played. Enjoy!

LOVE to play, Mark. I’m on the page of “Fall preparation” in gardens and in home, so to pencil in FUN is quite challenging. I honestly don’t know how I do what I do at times, but I manage ALWAYS to have fun. Have a great day or rather a great sleep. xo

Isn’t that Moon amazing!!! I was wowing out loud last evening when I was editing it. I had so much fun in the editing room and was completely taken away by what those new functions (to me) could do! Amazing! Have a great day today, Wendi! Enjoy the cool and crisp weather! xo

Thank you thank you thank you! Isn’t this cool, VK??? I’m so excited about these functions. What I now can do with my pictures …. oh my goodness the possibilities are endless!! I’m slowly getting my macro rock steady hands back (getting down to ground and remaining stable). The muscles that my acupuncturist are waking up have not been used properly in 25 years, and are very very weak and shaky. I’m learning how to walk right all over again and believe me it has been tough!
Anyways …. here I am, with NEW in my editing room and Autumn just beginning. Oh for the joy!! I can’t wait to see what I can do to show you!!
All is well here now, VK. Last week hubby and I thought we were about to loose Jersey and thank GOD we were able to turn her around. I can breeeeeeatheeeee again. Much Love to you and BIG HUGS!!! xo

Yay Jersey!!!! Hang in there Super Kitty……Go slow AR and don’t do too much too quick. You’ve waited 25 years to walk right, a little bit longer won’t hurt….Hugs…VK ❤

Isn’t life all about learning, Scott? My goodness, so many (too many) waste so much time, time that could be used to discover new. I will always learn. And I really thank you for the compliment you paid me regarding my photography. I hope to get what I need to get done today so the weekend I can out and about with my camera. It’s time. (smile) xo

Wow! Incredible, these photos are so clear and incredibly colorful and bright. I didn’t think your photos could get any more real looking – but there you go – these are incredible. It was your roses that got me in the beginning, and looking at them today with the filters – beautiful, professional photos! Yes indeed, we are always learning and discovering – makes life colorful!! Thanks for sharing your brilliance!! Have a great weekend, much love , Donna

Aw, thank you, Donna! I am so psyched about this new find. Combining what I already do in PS, this is bringing my photos to a new level. I am so happy I found out about these features. I showed my next door neighbor the red rose and the moon, and her reply to me, “Amy, the world really needs to see your pictures.” OK. I need a MANAGER. *sigh* I’m getting there and as I keep telling Hubby when the time is right, it will happen. I just “know” it. Meanwhile, I do what I LOVE to do and then sharing that with you. I am really taken aback and so so touched by what you said, friend. Means so much to me to seen as “brilliant”. You have a great weekend too!! Much Love to you! xo Amy

I don’t know a 10th of what Photoshop and Lightroom are comprised of. Now if I had nothing but photography in my life, I suppose I could learn. But hey, I have lots more to me then just photography. So I do what I do and am satisfied. I’m actually thrilled by this “new” however. It’s way cool! And I thank you, Dan, for compliment on the beauty you saw. Hope you are having a great weekend!

Wow. Your photography and the way you’ve “played” with the images in Photoshop are simply incredible! Flowers in bloom have such a majestic quality about them. You’ve captured this so perfectly.
I always wanted to mess around within Photoshop and admire you for learning it. It’s a great feeling, isn’t it? When you learn something new, but better yet, implement what you learned and see the outcome… does wonders for the self-esteem 🙂
Many blessings on your learning journey. I’m grateful you shared these with me! You’ve made my morning! ♥

You are really good at this. Your photos are always stunning. Is photoshop easy to use?

Thank you, Andrew. Many prefer Lightroom, which to them is easier, but to me, is aggravating. So I use Photoshop. If you are a fast learner, have a curious mind, and have a tendency to experiment as in, what does this do?, you will do fine. There are tons of tutorials too. Nowadays, you can only get Photoshop through Adobe Creative Cloud, for a certain monthly fee, and that includes Bridge where I import/upload my photos into from my camera, and also Lightroom along with Photoshop. These editing rooms are huge, and to be truthful, I probably only know 1/10th if that. IF I only had photography in my life, I would spend more time in learning how to use these programs. Good luck IF you decide to go that root. I’ve seen several of your own photographs, and IMO you’ve got the eye. You’re good!!!
