Imagine If

    1. Thank you, Mark! I woke up feeling like this …. if only ….. And I’m sure knowing human nature as I do, even if life got cleaned up, the plague would somehow emerge again. Oh well, I can dream, can’t I? Have a great evening! 😴🦋

    1. Thank you, Rob! This guy was not easy to capture. Between my shaking hands and my AF going in and out on account of the breeze moving the flower he was on, it took quite a few tries to get him in clear. So glad you liked this praying mantis. Have a great Sunday! 🎈🎈🎈

      1. I agree they are fascinating, Rob. I’ve stopped to watch them when I see them in my gardens. They are lethal! And I love how they target the “bad” insects”. LOL

      2. There’s also this new red insect that is worse then a Japanese Beetle I’ve yet to ID that I would love to declare war on. They destroy plants that nothing in the past touched. Oh the joys of gardening …..

      3. That might be it, Rob. They are a horror. My neighbor who does nothing with her garden … she could care less …. all of her Tiger Lilies are eaten right to the main stem. I’ve never seen anything like this. They eat giant holes in leaves and then the leaves disappear. Flowers too. If I don’t catch them in time, they can destroy a plant in no time. They are new in this area and I detest them! They ONLY thing I can use is chemicals on them …. nothing else deters them. Have you seen these bad boys in your garden?

      4. Grrrrr ….. that’s them! Ugly SOB’s! And what they do to a garden is ugly! I hope I don’t get any next year. Two years in a row now …. and this year was really bad!

    1. Thank you, Kamal. If only, right? There are just some days that my very soul is weary from the continual onslaught of garbage that is so prevalent in this world. May your day be Blessed. 🦋

  1. Amazing photo, Amy 🙂
It would be great, if they were able to help our planet, yes.
I met one mantis few weeks ago in a place without anything green. I just hoped, it would find a way to a new home and it had left, when I passed same area hours later that day.
    Much love to you ❤

    1. Thank you, Irene. It took many tries to get this guy in clear. Between my shaking hands and the wind it was quite challenging. And yes, these creatures have a way of disappearing out of sight pretty darn quickly. May your day be filled with goodness and delight! Much Love to you! 💖

    1. Thank you, Julie! That praying mantis took quite a few shots for me to get him clearly. That daisy he was on was “head heavy” and the wind was playing with it. Glad you enjoyed my photography!! Have a great Sunday! 🌟🌟🌟

    1. Hmmmm …. you do have a valid point there, Dan. Even with a programming by the best technology, praying mantis would most likely make humans as a target as so many are responsible for the volatile environment. There’s got to be some way of cleaning up the riff-raff. I know I’m doing what I can in my life. And pray the ripple effect catches on. Hope your Sunday is a good one! 🌟🌟🌟

      1. I was going to link a Youtube video to this post but when I saw the actual footage, my stomach turned. Oh my gosh the violence! To see a praying mantis kill a snake ….. whoa! I don’t know if I could have watched to be truthful! One thing is for sure …. they are skilled hunters. I heard they can actually bring down a Hummer. Now when I heard that, my “like” for this species fell way down the ladder.

      2. hahahaha now I really am laughing! it’s like the granddaddy long legs, VERY deadly but their mouth is it small to bite us. Or so I’ve been told anyway. Never really looked it up myself.

  3. I wonder if they could clean up the mess in Washington if they were human size??? Would be wonderful. They have the nano technology to make things incredibly tiny, why not bigger?…I caught sight of one maple trees up the hill behind me that has begun to show it’s fall colors!!!Summer was already too short, but fall already? Yikes….I haven’t seen those red beetles. I’m glad I don’t have them….Happy Sunday….Hugs…VK ❤

    1. I knew someone would post a political comment and leave it to you, VK, to do so. LOL Fall here has been in the air …. tops of some trees turning, the nights very brrrrr chilly going down into 40’s, a yellow tone to most of the greenery. I agree Summer was far too short … it started late darn it! Most of the birds flocked yesterday and it is so quiet and the air it itself feels so empty. Be glad you don’t have those red beetles because they are extremely destructive. Japanese Beetles I rarely saw this year but those red nightmares? All over the place! Happy Sunday back to you, dear friend! 🎈🎈🎈

    1. I was shocked by what the praying mantis can actually eat, Gigi. Here I was thinking just insects. No. My admiration sunk way low when I found out how they can actually bring down a Hummer. Gasp! I’m afraid no amount of technology would prevent a big mantis from eating us. No thank you! 😉

    1. And it is God who I have to thank for, for giving me this amazing talent, Leonie. My camera transports me into such an incredible world, a world where no problems exist and where my troubles all fade away as magnificence is mine to merge with. Thank you so much for this comment. Meant so much to me!! God bless you! 🌟🌟🌟

  4. We have no predators for either deer or introduced grey squirrel, and every year they cause millions of pounds worth of damage to forests and worst of all, my wife’s garden plants such as lilies and tulips. It’s the balance we have wrong. Leave it to Mother Nature and she will solve any problems!

    1. John, there is a product called Liquid Fence that you can buy at Amazon. It really works and it is all natural. I’m not too sure if you see my responses to your comments so I will make sure I say something over at your blog. We have the exact same problem with deer here …. there are no predators to bring their number down. Tell your wife there is hope …..

  5. Nice click! I can link your imagination to the humans where humans too can programme their minds to destroy systematically the predators of their thoughts (ego, anger, jealousy, expectations) to give opportunity for a perfect way of life (with love, peace, happiness and satisfaction). Thank you for the post and making me realize this. Good day🙂

      1. Not all humans are that evil. But I’m scared the tiny fraction of humans that are evil might spell doom for the others as well!
Your photography skills are exemplary. I’m just stating a fact here. ❤️
I had a great Sunday and Monday is a holiday as well so I’m really, really happy. 😃
