    1. Thank you, Kristin. Yes I am focusing on strengthening my immune system. It’s complicated, just take my word for it. My acupuncturist is assisting me greatly to do this very thing. I can count on my one hand the times I’ve been on antibiotics. I don’t like them but yes they are necessary in times of trouble. Have a great Sunday! 🤗

      1. I do what I can. My life is extremely busy and there are times I make a valiant effort to be here. I understand you when you talk about my “energy”. My “Heart” shows through my photography. Why? I Love what I do … there is much more to it then that. It’s magic. 😉

  1. Good to hear, that you are on the way to better health again, Amy 🙂
Antibiotics are sometimes necessary and can support us.
Beautiful photos and you are getting better and better. I suppose, this also has to do with your equipment. The better, the better photos are possible.
Take good care of yourself, dear friend.
    Much love to you ❤

    1. Bless you, Irene. My next phase of healing is calling my dentist …. I do believe I have a tooth that is contributing to my nasal problems. *sigh* Something else that must be addressed. Life for me has just been sooooo busy ….. SO appreciative of your kindness and concern. May your day be a great one!! Much Love to you, dear friend. 💖

      1. You got it, Irene. Tomorrow I call my dentist. You know how sometimes when you do have a sinus infection it hurts your teeth? Well, I was hoping that was what going on, but no, seems as if I really do have something going on with a tooth. May you have a beautiful day too!! 😘

    1. Thank you, Holly. Yes this summer has been extraordinarily bad for my sinuses, allergies, and asthma. I don’t know why. I am getting well, thank you! I just got yelled at by Hubby cuz I’m trying to tackle the cleaning that needs to be addressed. I answered …. I’m going slow. Who else is going to clean this house? I never did get an answer. LOL SO happy my images made your day. Thank you for telling me. Much Love to you! 🌟🌟🌟

    1. Thank you, Wendi. I don’t stay down for long, although I must admit, this infection kicked my butt as did the super antibiotics. Thank you for mentioning those milkweed pods. I thought the composition was beautiful. I’m glad they reminded you of your childhood. Hope you are having a Great Day!! 🎈🎈🎈

    1. Colleen, this is my second time I’m trying acupuncture. First time around, wasn’t that great. This place I am going to now was recommended to me, and boy am I ever glad I followed up. I’m seeing one acupuncturist for my back issues, and now a second one who works in the same office, for my immune issues (and other). It pays to research or you may get lucky to get a referral like I did.
And yeah, antibiotics I do not like. I can count on my one hand the times I’ve been on them. I had no other option …. I really wasn’t well. I have faith that with my continual treatments with both acupuncturist + chiropractor my health will soar. I’m on such a great diet, I exercise …. etc …. so I am doing all the right things. Let me know please if you find a good acupuncturist and the outcome. Hope your Sunday has been a good one thus far!! 💜

      1. Thank you AmyRose ! I will let you know. I have not seriously looked yet because I want to stay local and I haven’t come across any local suggestions. But it does intrigue me and I am all for it.

    1. Thank you, Shweta! And yes I second your kudos to my acupuncturist. This woman really knows what she is doing! I am so grateful I found her and another one I am working with who is helping me with my back issues. Sinuses when blocked and then infected, are miserable. My heart goes out to you! (((HUGS)))!!! 💜

      1. Glad that you’ve found a relief from all that pain. Long live acupuncturists, right?

Miserable is the exact feeling. But I’ve finally managed to escape from the clutches of sinusitis. Hopefully, this time it doesn’t come in search of me. 😂

    1. Finally, Diana, I am. Thank you. I only go to the doctor if I absolutely have to and I only take antibiotics if I absolutely have to as well. I’m smiling that you enjoyed my images. Hope your day is just swell!! 🌟🌟🌟

  4. It sounded that you have tough time dealing with your condition but I am now glad to hear you are on the way to recovery!

I know sometimes just go back to reprocess old pictures can be a very different life to them. You may have completely different ideas or have different perspectives.

Please have a great Sunday and take care.

      1. Ahhhh, someone after my own heart. I strive for simple in all my photographs. It doesn’t always turn out that way but I prefer simple too. Thank you for adding this comment. Your words just confirmed that what I am striving for is working. I so appreciate them!

    1. …. I was thinking while I ate lunch about what you said about perspective. You are absolutely correct. Due to life being so busy I’ve been editing on “auto pilot” basically doing the same thing with each picture. However, when I do get more time, I contemplate on how to edit them more so then when I lack for time. Also, when there is a bit of time between when I took the pictures to the actual editing, I do have a different outlook. Thanks for coming with me on my lunch break. (smile)

      1. I think that when dragonflies perch the wings are at 90 degrees to the body, but with damselflies they lay them along their back. I’m not totally certain about that, though.

        Liked by 2 people

      2. The main difference are
Damselflies’ wings fold back over their abdomen when they are in resting position, and all their wings have the same shape Their eyes are separated, and they generally have slim bodies.

Dragon flies’ wings are held perpendicular to their bodies when at rest, and they have a set of differently shaped wings. Their eyes touch, and they generally have thicker bodies.

        I hope that helps?

        Liked by 1 person

      3. THANK YOU!!! Yes this helps immensely. I just changed the information under the damselfly to ID it correctly. Now I will know the difference everytime I photograph these little wonders. You’ve helped me so much!!! THANK YOU!!

  5. I wondered where you’ve been, Amy. Glad you’re feeling better.

It’s great that it always seems to rain just enough, and nearly always overnight. I haven’t had to drag the hose out in weeks.

(PS – I went out this morning to discover that something had eaten every one of my red petunias, but left all the white ones alone. Picky little critter.)

    1. Thank you, CM. I am feeling better! As for rain, I have one garden that remains a mystery. No matter how hard it may rain, it’s still dry. Huh. As for the something that ate your only red petunias, so sorry. Welcome to my life …. battling rabbits and deer. Hope you are having a great day! Just came in from outside as slowly I go preparing (phase 1) my gardens for winter. It’s gorgeous out there! 🌟🌟🌟

  6. Gorgeous dragonfly photos!
I recently saw some red-bodied dragonflies. I’d never seen one before and they completely captured my attention.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get an image anywhere near the beautiful clarity you share here.
I hope you’re feeling better every day 🌼

    1. SO glad you stopped by to see my pictures. You know how small dragonflies are … it’s taken me years to capture dragonflies as you see here. I have the equipment for it as well. (smile) I’ve never seen a red-bodied dragonfly. How cool is that? Yes I am feeling better. Thank you!! 🦋🦋🦋

    1. I went for a walk in the park behind us today, John, and I honestly could smell mold in the air. I’m truly sorry for your symptoms because I know how miserable they are! When you can’t breathe right, everything is off in your body. A kingbird you say. Hmmmm …. I’ll check it out. Thanks for the breadcrumb. I’ll pick it up and run with it. (smile)

  7. Mother looked after you Amy and we were the blessed ones too as we got some more great shots 😀
I love the dragonfly on the green stalk, the detail is exquisite 😀
As for the antibiotics, I find that if I take some probiotics in between them it doesn’t stir my body up as much, especially if your taking stronger antibiotics.
Have a great day dear lady, may your natural sprinkler (Mother) always be on hand 😀

    1. Hi, Mark. Yes a BIG yes on the probiotics. I take two different ones plus a prebiotic. And my butt still got kicked with those super antibiotics. I do not want to take those again! YUCK!
Now according to some experts that just told me, that is actually a damselfly you are admiring. The difference being a damselfly folds its wings along its body while a dragonfly’s wings are perpendicular to the body. I am going to change the information right now, thanks to Timothy and John.
Yes I am having a great day. I’ve gone for a 3-mile walk, did a bit of cleaning, and have been out in my gardens weeding and pruning, getting ready for the big push to fertilize come this Fall. That does not include all I’ve done for my cats. You could say I am feeling better. (grin!) I don’t stay quiet or down for long! Hope your day is a great one, Mark! 🌟🌟🌟

    1. Thank you, Dan! I’m relieved Mother took care of most of my gardens …. I have one that is still bone dry … go figure! This month has been too busy and then not feeling well on top of everything …. extremely challenging! I miss my camera so much and my time out in Nature too … again the busyness has dominated this month. Yes I am feeling better, but oh boy, I’m so far behind the eight ball right now! *sigh* One day at a time, right?

  8. Awesome photos – love the dragonflies – looking so cool! Glad to hear you are feeling better, hating antibiotics myself – one of those things I would rather avoid! Nice when the weather does for us in 15 minutes what would take us an hour of manual watering!! Take care of yourself my friend!! Much love, Donna

    1. Thank you, Donna. I’d rather avoid antibiotics but ….. there comes a time when they do come in handy. I don’t know what was worse … not feeling well period or the side effects of the super antibiotics. Shudder. And yeah, it was just so kind of Mother to water for me. I’ve been SO busy this month I can barely remember when I last went out with my camera. Shock! It’s been crazy here! SO happy you enjoyed my gallery. One of those dragonflies is a damselfly, the one with the loooong tail. Much Love back atcha! 🌟🌟🌟

    1. Deeksha, I’m just so thankful I’m done with them. The assistance my acupuncturists are giving me are making sure my sinuses and my lungs behave. I am back to normal energy wise already! And thank you about my photography. This is where my heart is at. Bless you! 🌟🌟🌟

    1. Thank you, Amy! It’s my AF that gives me the greatest struggle when I photograph these little guys. I must have decent lighting or forget it. AND there must not be a lot of other grasses and such around that dragonfly or else my AF will go there. Working with a long lens is challenging at times but OH so worth it. LOL 😉

  9. Wow. These are some beautiful images. I love your story too. It is amazing how often the timing of a rain is just right. We had much the same situation here yesterday. I’ve been feeling poorly and the garden desperately needed watering. Not long after that thought, it poured! Thank you Lord! 🙂 I am also grateful to hear you are feeling better after all the sinus troubles. Such a miserable feeling. Blessings to you & yours! ♥

    1. Thank you, Holly! How awesome that you can actually understand how the Universe helps out at times when we are in need of help. I felt the same way, fyi, when it rained. What a relief!! I’m feeling much better. Bless you for caring! 🦋

    1. I am recovering, Sue. What I didn’t reveal here is at the same time of this infection I was going to an acupuncturist who has been disabling back muscles that were overworking for my hip and glute muscles, which were not working properly, if at all. This has been an ongoing problem for years so …. in getting the right muscles to start working and the wrong muscles to stop working there was massive body/mind confusion and HUGE pain. Why pain? I began to use muscles that were not engaged for probably at least 20 years. In other words, I have had to learn how to walk “right” from scratch one. I almost didn’t make it this past week with pain being so intense, muscles fighting and rebelling and my mind not knowing if I was coming or going. Today however, my body is obeying and things have calmed down. I’m determined to get this body working right and me to stay walking.
Cool here ….. Yesterday the majority of the bird population migrated, including my Orioles. I had at least a 3-4 minute conversation with a male Oriole yesterday telling me how deeply grateful he and all who I gave sugar water to are. I have a 7 minute clip of that conversation. Yes, I was actually speaking to him in his language. I am going to treasure that because I miss those birds already. I can’t wait to see them next Spring!
SO happy you enjoyed my magical photographs!
Busy ….. IF you could see my Aug. calendar you would understand how thousands of miles were put on my car. Plus taking care of sick cats, beginning the Fall work on my gardens, and undertaking this HUGE endeavor with my back and legs, AND maintaining a 3-day workout regimen at the gym + walking + photography. Whew!! I had 2 whole days of doing nothing when I hit the wall and didn’t get too far off the couch.
Much Love back to you, dear friend. So good to see you here ….. 💞🦋🎈🌟

      1. So feel for your discomfort and back pain, I swear by acupuncture and have a treatment every four to five weeks, have done now for the last ten years… Its a life saver for me in many ways, not only pain control but alignment of energies as you know..
I don’t know how you do what you do Amy.. But your are a God-send to your Cat population and to Mother…
I am smiling widely at your conversation with the male bird.. I truly know he thanked you, When we get that close to nature, observing and BEing Part of it, something just inwardly takes over, that ‘Knowing’ part of us understands without words.. Call it consciousness, and I am sure you will remember that conversation as he will 🙂
Much LOVE dear friend… You are one beautiful Soul ❤ ❤ ❤

      2. I’m right now getting back to Balance after 6 acupuncture treatments in 5 weeks. My plan was to really hit my body, then stop and allow it to realign. It was a real tough go and still is. I do not know how I do what I do either, to be truthful with you, Sue. That is why I have said I think I split the time atom. I just put one foot in front of the other and when I do something, I do it quickly and efficiently. Yes I understand all about Consciousness, and being out within Mother as much as I am, I have many times merged with It.
I have begun another really busy day so I will respond to your other comments when I can. When I hit the “wall”, I listen and down I go, doing just the bare minimum. The time has again come for me to go. After this week, hopefully, life will settle down a bit for me. I still don’t know how I’m going to fit in my hair which needs serious attention right now. That is not a priority …. when I can get there I get there.
Much LOVE right back at you. I am a mere reflection of YOU. xoxoxo
