As promised, here is part two of “My New Heaven” series. If you have time and you have not viewed part I, here is the link to that post. As you are about to see, there are multiple pictures contained in this post. For your convenience 3 galleries were created. I have comments regarding what you are looking at beneath each image in the galleries.
The Knox family (If interested in their history, click link that provides great detail … fascinating article!) were known in these parts as a very wealthy family who used to live on 633 acres of unbelievable beauty. To imagine living there when the Knoxes were in residence, perhaps is the very reason why Hubby is finally interested in coming with me on photoshoots to use his camera. Truth be told though, the “energy” there is just so Blissful and we both can feel it!
In my part I, I showed you what the acreage looks like. In this series I will be showing you where the Knoxes lived and the surrounding buildings they used. Please do enjoy. With no further to-do, open each gallery to read how the Knoxes lived.
THE MAIN HOUSE AKA MANSION built in 1916-17, which is used today for weddings and banquets.
THE POLO STABLES built in 1927, housed 36 trotters, hunters, and polo ponies. When I saw the stables my jaw dropped! I cannot even imagine owning this many horses or owning stables that to me look like a mansion! I have yet to find the polo playing field which present day is being used as a soccer field.
THE BARNS (I only am showing a few of the barns, not all of them.)
There is also a Guest house, many others buildings, and Mrs. Knox’s gardens, not seen here.
My hope is you got the scope of these people’s wealth. I had so many pictures I could have shown you, but …. these in my opinion, should truly get you to understand why I am just so excited about finding this gorgeous place!
