What do you do to stay connected to your Heart, your “sweet spot”, your “Bliss”, your Joy, especially when Life deems to throw hard balls your way? How do you not shut down to guard your Heart against the pain, the turmoil Life at times throws you in? Or, do you automatically shut down when pain comes along?
I know what my means are to keep my Heart open. My Life, for the most part, has been one challenge after the other, with at times my head barely staying afloat in the raging river. I’ve developed my own system for me to stay connected to my Joy to prevent Life’s harsh undertow to pull me under.
If you haven’t caught on by now, my photography is one of those means I turn to even when the going is easy to stay connected to my Heart. It is by far an excellent tool (for me) to open the Door of Wonder and Dazzle, beckoning my Little Girl to play to her Heart’s Delight. And let me tell you. She does.
Some other means I turn to without fail are Mother Herself, Yoga and writing. There are others as well but these four are my strong suits, all leading me to the World of Happy Endorphins. With those Happy Endorphins, my body/mind heal, get stronger, repair, rejuvenate, and fall into such deep Bliss sometimes that when I do come back to “3D reality”, I find myself shaking my head as if to clear it ….
But! I bring that Bliss with me so that when I do step back into those challenges, I’m calm, I’m gentle, I’m Loving, and my frame of mind is on a positive track versus a negative one.
Despite the crummy light [continual lack of sun] that has been bountiful this Spring, I have managed to get to the park and immerse in my gardens. It is just beginning to green here, very slowly, but even that little bit of green is not enough to aid me in the light end of photography. If you didn’t know, leaves hold Light absorbed by the sun. I’ve struggled to keep my ISO as low as possible while maintaining a decent shutter speed for action shots. Not easy to do.
All the bird images taken this past Friday, were taken at lower then “should be” shutter speeds to capture birds with. (seen in gallery below) To keep my ISO where I like it to be, I put my Determination on high glow again in order to capture clearly the birds I saw. The only birds I was able to capture clearly were those that were perched. No flying birds that day …. my shutter speed was appropriate only for blender-ized effects. [Thank you, Mark]
So enjoy the fruit of my Heart as you look at my gallery. Click on first image to enter the gallery. There is one bird in my collection whose name escapes me and if anyone (Jet) could help me ID the bird, I would be very grateful. Please enjoy and have a great day!

Amy, it is always a delight and JOY to find myself sharing what your heart loves my friend, and these images show us a different world if we care to explore it and move ourselves out of our 3D reality from time to time.
ALL things grow, flourish, and Spring time is such a special time or renewal..
If only people would connect more to their hearts Amy, and understand if we learn to love, respect, care for nature and ourselves, our world of conflict and frustrations and anger would subside..
We could literally create our NEW EARTH by observing all that nature shares
Beautiful images Amy.. And your birds are just gorgeous..
Sending love from my heart to yours Amy..
Stay Blessed my friend..
❤ HUGS ❤

It’s this different world, Sue, that connects us to All That Is. It brings us into another realm, a higher one, that vibrates with such intensity of Love and Joy and Wonder. Yes, if ONLY people would learn to connect with their Hearts, and not their minds or emotions (or lack of), we would definitely have a better world. My New Earth has arrived. I’m living it. And for the first time, I’m getting a “hint” where my photography will be taking me. (GRIN!) Thank you for the compliment on my photography. SO happy you stopped by today and enjoyed the fruits of my Heart!! Much Love to you, dear Sue!! 💜💜💜

And you are creating some very beautiful magic Amy, these images are the laces of love personified , holding you in its arms so that you cannot but do its bidding because you ‘believe’ in what you have become from your hearts journey ❤

Dearest Mark, magic truly is unfolding right before my very eyes. If you knew the circumstances both these flowers and these birds were taken in, you wouldn’t understand how I managed to capture anything clearly. Oh yes, when I come from the place of my Heart, the manifestations are mind blowing. Yes, I do believe in what I have become and I know that it shows. I worked a LONG time for this, and to witness this brings tears to my eyes. I am so so so grateful!! You are also very welcome for me sharing, something else I so Love to do! Forget flowers, my plants haven’t even grown out. I still have tiny little stubs…Oh well, good things come to those who wait. Love seeing all of the color again! It means your heart is filled with color as well, no? Stay bright and colorful my friend. Hugs to you and to the babies…VK ❤

It’s still so chilly here, VK. And hardly any sun with rain rain rain. I get out to the park and into my gardens every chance I get. Despite a pulled muscle, today I go into my gardens to begin to lay new mulch down. The birdsong on our property is intoxicating so I will be accompanied by song as I work. There is not much color here yet, not according to my standards, but where there is some, I am finding it. (smile) Thank you for the hugs to me and my babies. We are doing so much better and for this, I am SO grateful!! (((HUGS)))! 💜💜💜

What a lovely post…each photo is so beautiful. Thank you so very much. ❤ I'm always happy because I killed the other part of myself, so no pain at all. That's why I'm normally peaceful and happy. Decided pain was a waste of energy. I don't believe it teaches me anything but the fact that I hate it. So I got rid of it forever. 🙂 I dance a lot. LOLOL

Gigi, I’m not too sure how to answer you based on the words you wrote. Pain is a part of life. It is a part of living when you choose to be vulnerable when you invite Love in. I wouldn’t kill any part of me, even if that meant no pain anymore. I’ve lived through so much pain too much at times. But, I come back to the land of the living each time to again embrace Love. Pain is not to be liked and to be truthful I absolutely dread it. Your gravatar shows you with tears running down your face so yes, Gigi, I know you have known horrific pain. You just keep on dancing to keep your Heart light. (((HUGS)))!!! 💜💜💜

No lie! I am stunned by what is transpiring lately. I’ve got it so bad, dear friend, that all I want to do lately is to have fun and play with my camera. Due to so much rain, I’m so far behind with my gardens and must must open all of them. HARD work! Hi Amy, This post of spring beauties is a delight to behold, and your photos are spectacular. Since you asked about bird id, I thought you would appreciate the names, below. Sorry I did not respond to your request sooner, I was out of the country. Your earlier commenter was right about the mystery bird being a tufted titmouse. Here are some other bird names: the grosbeak (there are 7 grosbeak species in the U.S.) you have here, a beauty, is the rose-breasted grosbeak. Also the oriole is a Baltimore Oriole (not Boston). Goldfinch is an American Goldfinch. Since you asked. My warmest congratulations on this photographic gallery of beauty and wonder. Cheers, my friend.

I’m laughing at me, Jet. I knew Boston Oriole didn’t sound right. I am used to calling them only by Oriole. LOL Oops. Gosh you are just so knowledgeable. Me on the other hand, I just like to shoot and not get caught up in time looking for the names. Boston Oriole. LOL I KNOW it is Baltimore Oriole …. my goodness! THANK YOU for your wonderful comment and many more thanks for the help in getting the names right. I will go into my gallery to change the names. At least I can do that much. LOL Much Love to you and welcome home!! 💜💜💜

Julie, about the only time I shoot in manual is when I am shooting landscape or flowers. Shooting wildlife in manual I have tried yes, but it is near impossible for me to do. My lens is so heavy all by itself I do not have enough control in order to use manual focus. And no Mr. and Mrs. Grosbeak do not look anything alike and to be truthful with you, that is a very unique photograph. Most often these birds are not seen together as I saw them. May you have a great day today! 😘😘😘
