It would behoove you to know
the appropriate time
when to broach a “touchy” subject.
*Cuddles – 14-year old aka Mr. Security in this house*
With someone of a shy demeanor
direct eye contact
takes some time to achieve.
*Meaghan – 12-years old biological sister of Maxie’s*
No matter your age
in the eyes of one who Loves you,
your Beauty does not ever fade.
*BellaMarie – 17-year old “keeps on going Miracle”*
When young and full of piss and vinegar
in of itself brings
lightness and laughter to those who are older.
*Rusty – 7-year old dynamo of this family*
who must be exactly who they are
in each and every moment.
*Cookie – 15-year old “Little Mom” of the family, not liking the camera*
Have enough respect
when you see someone sleeping
to not to disturb them.
*Sassy – 14-year old “official mouth” of the family*
Recognize sweetness when you see it
and just let that quality
touch your Heart forever.
*Jersey – 14-year old who recently came in the house to avoid the cold*
Don’t let size fool you
for even though someone may be big
he could very well be gentle as a lamb.
*Charlie – 12-year old biological brother of Maxie’s*
Deep contemplation or mediation at times
does come in handy
to keep stress to a minimal.
*Whispers – 9-year old buddy of Rusty’s, both who I call bookends*
As only cats do know
rest is truly a smart option
for good health and light spirits.
*Doodles – 13-year old, Meaghan’s Soulmate*
I seem to be in a stall, really not knowing what to photograph right now. There is no “pretty” snow and I don’t know how many times I can do artsy landscape. It also feels as if I’m in the “in-between” or void. So yesterday I decided to capture my “kids”.
There haven’t been too many smiles yet in this house after our loss of Max, yet day by day I am seeing small smidgeons of hope that this house is beginning to smooth sail again. Sometimes my Heart feels as if it will explode for the Love I have for my “family”.
These Precious Souls have shown me what Love really is when no human did. They have given me the impetus to develop strength and character in myself in order to stand up to the “system”. They have shown me qualities within myself that I did not even know existed. It is the least I can do to care for them, assist them with their health issues, and make sure they live a quality life full of Love and Peace.
I don’t show you my “kids” too often, so just enjoy this post. These are some of the best Loved cats in all the world. In my humble opinion, that is.
