Sometimes

Sometimes when it feels as though
the world is upon your shoulders
know the openings will come
where burdens are left behind.

Sometimes it’s as though you stand alone
yet if you take time to look around
a circle of support is clearly seen
and a willing shoulder to lean on is close by.
~~~~~

 

Sometimes when you rush crazily about
blind to the mysteries around you,
you just happen to miss
the many surprises Life has in store for you.
~~~~

 

Sometimes Life’s Winds are so fierce and feral
you just don’t know how much longer you can stand;
but until you realize that this too is an illusion
you will not have to brace against winds to enjoy the show.
~~~~~

 

Sometimes all you want is a way to escape
the agonies associated with Love,
yet if you but stop trying to escape
the Beauty around you will steal your breath.
~~~~~

 

Sometimes in coming to a new decision
as to which direction you need to go
it helps immensely just to know
how and when to follow the Bridge’s Flow.
~~~~~

 

Sometimes in order to get to your destination
obstacles will stand in your way,
all just there to test your resoluteness
if you really do want what you want.
~~~~~

 

Sometimes the Archetypes of Life
will take you by surprise
when you stop to appreciate and admire
the incredible creativity involved.
~~~~~~

 

Sometimes you feel betrayed and at a loss
yet no one promised you
Life would always run smooth
because if it did, you would learn squat.
~~~~~~

So, Live and Learn. And don’t forget to smile.
