Come Away With Me

    1. Thank you, Hien! Every single shot I took (164 in all) except for 2, turned out good. That does NOT happen often. We are cold here too but … today I see the temperatures creeping upward just a little bit. I’ll take it! ☺️

    1. I am, Noel. I get like this every year as I dash about attempting to document all the color I possibly can. I do know what is just around the corner. 🍁🍁🍁 And it’s not Autumn. LOL

    1. Thank you, Linda! I was astonished that with every depression of the shutter button I actually captured a perfect picture. This year more so than any other year that I remember, I had to run to chase colors. For the longest time are leaves stayed green, then bam they turned colors but then Wind and Rain came along and stripped the leaves off the trees. I’m hoping for one more outing with my camera to capture these glorious fall colors again back in the same park from where these pictures were taken. I have yet to explore some other parts of this park so if the Sun starts creeping out a bit that is exactly where I will be early afternoon. You being a photographer know what it’s like to chase fall color. I hope you’re having a great day today! 💕🍁🍁💕

  1. Your photos here are magnificent, Amy, capturing the glory of the autumn and outdoors. I enjoyed reading the titles too, I guess because I am such a word person. The title “Mother’s Conversation” especially intrigued me. Wonderful post, as always.

    1. I thank you so much, Jet. Being an empath who feels things more so than talking about those things, I find it difficult to put into precise words what I am experiencing while looking at something in Nature that moves my Soul. I really had to think about putting words to these images. I’m glad the one that I titled Mother’s Conversation intrigues you. I looked at that image for a long time and in fact changed the title a couple of times before I decided on my final choice. I believe that all of Nature somehow communicates. How? That is something we humans really don’t know but yet I somehow do know. Thank you again for stopping by to take with you the Beauty Mother so graciously allows me to capture. Have a great day, dear friend! 💕🍁🍁💕

  2. Man! Those leaves sure fell off the trees fast. You were just there photographing them and then…They were gone. Great pictures AR…The one with the clouds is almost surreal. Gorgeous. I hope you are enjoying the day. We are all so lucky to be able to enjoy it. Hugs to you….VK ❤

    1. Yes, VK, those leaves came down fast. Thank you on your compliment. Today the sun is out and again I go out hunting for color. This may be my last try. I dunno. The air is so fresh and smells delicious. I plan on being out there for at least two hours. Or more ….. Hugs to you!!! AR

    1. Julie, it’s been a LONG time since our paths crossed. Oh my goodness! I hope all is well in your life! And I thank you regarding my imagination … that never stops, believe me. LOL I’m planning on getting out of here this morn to go chase more color, so if I don’t get over to your blog or answer the rest of your comments right away, you’ll understand. My life as well is pretty intense presently so just that prevents me at times to get here as I’d like to. It’s just SO good to see you here!! Be back later … (((HUGS))) 💞💞💞

      1. Yes, I was away for a while. I withdrew to the shadows of autumn and and re-emerged so incredibly renewed. No worries about my blog and comments, dear one. Go and chase those colors! ❤️

    1. Thank you, Donna! I was just out today with my camera and sadly I have to tell you most of the color is gone. Between the high winds and the torrential rains, the leaves that just started turning came down. I sit here stunned knowing the Fall Colors are no longer. I’m just so grateful for the days I could get out to capture the colors. This year we had no Color Peak, no Indian Summer …. whoa!! 😒

    1. Aw, thank you, Michele. I’ve no time for an exhibit, dear friend. My cat babies take most of my time right now. A day will come that will no longer hold true. Until that day, though, I do what I can as much as I can with my camera and Mother. 😘

  3. it is with pleasure that I effected this walk in landscapes of beauty with strong and shimmering colors.
My preference is for two photographs; the 7th and the 9th
the 7th; I like the brightness and the color of course, but especially the general ciomposition, the presence of a tree still green slice with all as well as the tree with red leaves that leans, the beautiful dark clouds of rain.
The 9th; there is something sweet and poetic, movement in the twigs

    1. Aw, thank you so very much Yoshimiprairs. Not many people take the time to explain what they experienced as they view my images, so believe me when I say this, I SO appreciate your words. There is something about both photographs you pointed out that has a mysterious quality to them. I’ve also really been focusing on composition so your feedback regarding that subject brought a huge smile to my face. THANK YOU! Bless you for taking the time to write such a detailed comment to me. I enjoyed every word you wrote! I really do choose my subjects with care. BIG (((HUGS)))!!!

  4. Stunning and vivid, colorful images, Amy! You showed what autumn is all about. I use sometimes a polarizer filter to boost the colors. The ND grad often creates a shadow in the upper part of my images. The soft grad not as much as the hard grad filter. I use them if there is a clear horizon line only. I normally expose for the highlights and lift up the shadows in post processing. That does the job if there is not too harsh light. My favorite is loving family. Amazing image and the title says what I saw in the image. In my opinion woodland photography is one of the most challenging areas… at least for me. I like the color tone of your series… Thanks for bringing your autumn to us . Happy days. Reinhold

    1. I’ve been experimenting with ND filters, Reinhold. I have a gradient filter, and a few solids that differ in strength. My strongpoint is not using my camera in bright sun so I’m trying to learn how. Yes I do use a polarizer and also have a red enhancer by Hoya that really make the reds and the clouds pop. Thank you SO much for all you said about this post. The Light that day was favorable and I made sure I used it to my fullest ability. I like the “soft” look, the “mystical” look, and that is what my eyes have been trained to see. I also have a knack of capturing Light as many here that have seen a lot of my work can attest to. Photographing in woods is tough especially on sunny days because of the intense contrast between light and shadow. I’ve been consistently doing this for almost 20 years and I’m still learning. Again I thank you so much for stopping by to view my art. ☺️☺️☺️

    1. Thank you, Sue. So much, too much actually, has been transpiring in my life and to keep me Balanced I have really been focused on Beauty that Mother freely gives me. I promise to keep taking my pictures. I am honored and enthralled that you are effected as I am by my pictures. I feel “Heaven” when I am with Mother and then what She allows me to capture. Much Love to you, dear friend. 💞💞💞
