Walk 2

    1. I will pass these words on to Hubby, Scott. We do plan on having more “forest dates”. Hubby is a very talented photographer and just now is getting bit by the bug again after mourning the loss of his Olympus film camera for about 20 years. Welcome to digital photography, Hubby!!! 😂

    1. Wow, thank you, Rob!! We both had two entirely different lenses that did two very different things …. yet … in saying that, his eye would be pulled in a unique way from mine. It was fun pointing out this and that and what do you think? should we capture this? Have a great day!! 🤗

  1. Seems hubby enjoys long range shooting versus your close up range which in the end creates different perspectives….Both were well done and I am SO glad you two had fun and laughed with each other…That is what it is truly all about in the end….Lots more rain all week here, I hope you aren’t getting it. Such a drag as it’s gone on for weeks now…Thanks for sharing your gallery of afternoon fun….Hugs to you….VK ❤

    1. VK, for this reason I mentioned what lenses we were both working with. He had a lens that only shoots long range and I had my powerful lens that shoots closeup. My objective was to get two very distinct type of pictures taken from the same spot. I will pass on to Hubby your compliment. He needs all the encouragement he can get to keep him going with this camera. Once going … he won’t stop. GRIN! Rain here too, again. Crossing fingers we get a break in this rain … the leaves are falling fast now and I really am still trying to get “peak colors”. Trying …. LOL HUGS to you!! 💝

      1. At least you still have leaves….Ours were torn off early before much color had even gotten going. Felt like no fall at all this year. Bummer. My favorite season…I’ll await your photographic stroll through wonderland….Stay dry over there..Hugs to you…VK ❤

    1. This Forest is very much like an enchanted one. It draws me back to it time and time again. Now Hubby is enchanted and is enthusiastic to return to it again. YAY! I’m so glad you enjoyed our pictures today. Have a great day, GF! 🤗

    1. Hubby has been a most excellent photographer in past years just not recently because he was so reluctant to get used to digital photography. Now however that he finally knows the FUN he has been missing out on, he is more then willing to share my passion with me. YAY! ☺️

  2. Well, amazing! Each photo – stands, in it’s own right, unique and beautiful! The close up of Hubby’s tree and bench is very lovely – I really like it. Just thinking back to photos I have taken, and seeing all the “close up” opportunities I might have missed just from not blowing up a section of the shot. I love your lens – it really captured the color and fullness of the trees and leaf-covered ground. Nice to see the perspectives side by side – like you guys!! Glad you are having so much fun!! Much love to you! Donna

    1. Donna, one of the exciting aspects of photography is when you use an ISO of 100 and if you have a good quality sensor, you can actually crop portions of your original photograph and make them large. I am not sure if you know this. So just passing on a little information to you just in case you didn’t. I am just so glad you stopped by and you took the time to see side by side hubby’s images next to mine. Next time we go out together I’m thinking on the lines of using lenses that are comparable in focal length. This time around however, I deliberately chose my long lens because I knew he was using his 17 to 55 mm lens. Oh, and when he saw the quality of my images compared to his? Even though he opted not to use my 24 to 105 mm lens that I offered to him to use, now he’s all excited about using it. If he stays excited like this, Donna, I will be getting him for Christmas a 24 to 105 mm L-series lens so that both of us can be shooting at the same time with the exact same lens attached to our cameras. I hope you are having a wonderful day today! I am bee bopping around cleaning and doing this and that with a big happy Heart! 💕😁😁💕

      1. Thanks for the tip! I’ve not ever had a great camera, but when I go shopping I’ll have a better idea what to look for. What a great Christmas present for hubby – I’m sure he’ll love it! Will look forward to more photos!!

  3. One walk, two very unique views! Up close and personal with nature – there’s intimacy in your shots. His are quite spectacular – seeing the whole ‘big picture.’
Quite enjoyed this walk, tyvm! – Jen xXx

    1. Jen! Oh my goodness I was just thinking about you today! I was so excited about seeing you last time here at my blog that I was totally selfish in that, I never told you how your words affect me when I read them. The way you write takes my breath away in a way that just is very difficult for me to describe. Yoy move me …
Now… Regarding this post! I deliberately chose my long lens knowing that hubby had a more wide angle lens on his camera because I really wanted a big contrast when we compared our two pictures. Now the next time we go out shooting, and yes there will be a next time, I will try to even up the odds a little bit better in that what he is shooting with I more or less will have on my camera too. If he keeps this up displaying excitement for photography, I know right now what Santa Claus will be bringing him for this Christmas! LOL Darn it, but it is so good to talk to you! 😁😁😁

      1. Ah, you are too kind my dear Amy! Your photos do that for me – thank you for bringing nature to me when I’m so very away.
Now! I do think Santa is awfully kind (and insightful!) I’m so looking forward to your photo duets or duels? Hahaha, joke on the latter.

    1. Thank you, Amy! You have no idea how thrilled I am that my husband is finally coming out with me to shoot pictures. We have been having so much fun together! And it is so nice to have somebody else along pointing out things my own eyes don’t see. Way cool! 💕😁😁💕

    1. Aw, thank you! I am just so happy you enjoyed this post. You will be seeing in the future more posts like this because my husband, who is a very talented photographer in his own right, is finally getting with the program in that, he has stopped mourning film photography and is now focusing on digital. YAY! 😁

    1. Oh thank you, Pragalbha! Hubby and I had so much fun! It’s been so long, too long, we did anything besides “work” together. Our life has become so full of responsibilities. I’ve learned to make room for ME and this is what hubby is now learning …. ya gotta have fun to relieve the stress. I’m just thrilled you came by to see our duet. (((HUGS))) Amy🌹

  5. Great collection of His and Hers photos! Nice to see you two doing photo-adventures together. My wife also enjoys our little photo-outings, although she doesn’t take pictures except lots of the grandchildren. She’s very patient with me and enjoys me sharing the images with her during the outing and later after I edit them.

    1. Good to know you and your wife enjoy going out together. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend quality time then to be outside in Nature, in the company of someone you enjoy being with. Seems we are fast running out of wall room cuz hubby, every time I show him my pictures and now his, says …. OH! This is a framer to go up on our wall. LOL

    1. I’m thinking of getting him his own lens for Christmas, Julie. IF he is consistent with his camera I’m going for it. I won’t have an expensive lens (and you know how expensive they are) just laying around. Penny wise ….. or so they say. (smile) 🤗
