Small Fry

    1. Um, er, I think I will pass on your good hearted offer. Unless you’d like a trade, say, 2 cats each for every child? I think that would be fair. Wouldn’t you? And thank you on my turtle picture, Scott. Happy FRIDAY! 💕😁💕

    1. LOL I know. I almost burst out laughing when that little girl asked me if alligators were in the water. I had to hold back because she was really not joking. Poor little thing,… She really was scared! Happy Friday, Jodi! 🙂

  1. The innocence of children is such a beautiful thing….They leave lasting memories in our hearts. If only we could hold on to that as we become adults. Great pics and so glad you got out and about. Have a great weekend AR….Hugs…VK ❤

    1. Yes, the innocence of children moves my Heart, VK. Just being in their presence lightens my spirit. I used to volunteer as a Teacher’s Assistant and loved it. I quit when the kids became very disrespectful towards me (different school). Then the increase in responsibilities happened with my cats …. and I never returned. I miss being with kids. Anyways …. YOU have a great weekend!! I hope to get out to get some fantastic Fall pictures!! XOXO

  2. There is such a crying need for educating children about nature (No Child Left Inside, Richard Louv). Fear creates separation and I’m glad you were able to reassure the little girl. Only by nurturing love and understanding of nature, will the next generation grow up to protect it. Keep up the good work, Amy! ❤

    1. Eliza, that was my very first impression about this little girl. She was just so intimidated and so filled with fear because it was very evident she was not used to being out in Nature. I’m crossing my fingers that my little interchange with her made an impression. I have been seeing a lot of people lately in the park that it’s very evident they’re not used to being out in Nature. I think that people are turning to Mother Nature to get away from this crazy world. Will do everything I can do to encourage those very people to come on back! Have a good day, dear friend! 💕🌹💕

  3. Heartwarming, and glad to know at least 2 kids were out in nature! and lucky enough to encounter you on their path to put their minds at ease! I work in a school with little kids and the things they say are quite funny, keeps us young! Great photos, love the turtles and your garden! Much love to you! Donna

    1. Donna, I used to be a volunteer as a teacher’s assistant. I miss so much the interactions I had with those kids. It’s a long story why I am no longer doing it. Kids have a way of, usually, being drawn to me and liking me immediately. I’m not saying all kids because I do have my share of problematic children that do run across my path. But. Anyways, I am so glad you enjoyed this post and got a kick out of it. I so totally enjoyed having the conversations I did with those kids. Have a great day today! 💕😎💕

  4. Beautiful photos Amy and I’m happy for you, that you got the chance to inform the kids a little about a nature, they were not feeling at home in. I’m sure, that they will remember, also your joy for the nature ❤

  5. Hopefully, there really aren’t any alligators in that water. You never know what people release into the ponds and lakes around here lately. That being said, I enjoyed your story. I’m glad the parents trusted you with their kids, especially that close to the edge. You’ve given them a nice memory for whenever they return to alligator country.

    1. No, CM, absolutely NO alligators are in that water. Besides they could never survive our climate. When I see fear I do my best to eradicate it. That little girl really was scared so I am hoping my words made an impression. Lately parents have been allowing me to interact with their kids. It must be that a woman with a heavy camera would seem to be an authority in this park and so “safe”. I dunno. I’d like to think it is my “energy” that they sense that tells them I would do their kids no harm. (smile) Hope you are having a great Sunday!! ☺️☺️☺️

    1. There are beavers in this park, YellowCable. I’ve never seen on, per se, but I have seen the dams they build. As for my roses, the temperatures have dropped so little by little my roses are dropping too. Hope you have a great Sunday! 💝

    1. Thank you, Michele. I really do enjoy interacting with children (most of them NOT all of them) so this was a real treat for me. I used to volunteer as a Teacher’s Assistant (3rd grade) but stopped when the teacher I was with was transferred to a new school. The kids there were brutal and no way was I going to be “bullied” by 8 year olds. So I walked out. And yes …. my gardens are beautiful. Every year I feel sad to see them go when Winter comes. Have a great Sunday!! 😘

    1. Wow! Thank you for the “brilliant” word, Sreejith, that just about took my breath away. This past Summer I really began for the first time to capture wildlife. At first I was so frustrated and then, BAM! I began to have so much fun. I am so lucky to have the parks I do around me. My time is so limited at this time of my life so these parks are precious to me. You have a great day too!! 🙂

  7. What a beautiful conversation you had with those two children Amy… Relieving that little ones fear, I could also feel it as you told it..
Loved you shared that moment in time Amy..
And your garden yes, still full of flower, so is ours, Autumn is mild, though we have had a couple of frosts in the early mornings, but my Dahlias have not been touched yet…
    LOVE and Blessings.. ❤

    1. My garden has slowly been looking like it is time to quit. I have 4 rose bushes yet to prune back but all other flowers are tucked away for Winter. Yes these two children were a Great Blessing to me. I used to volunteer as a Teacher Assistance and truly miss the interaction I used to have with kids. Much Love to you, dear Sue. 💞

    1. How I have missed you, dear friend! It is so so good to see your gravatar and to see your comments one after the other that I anticipate in answering. And of course come over to your blog to see what new you’ve got! Hope all is well and you feel wonderful. And yes the encounter with these children was absolutely precious to me. There is a big hole in my life from lack of children. Yet … I really can see the Highest Good in this as well. Big hugs! 💕💕💕

      1. I miss being here too as often dear Amy. Life is good yet as I follow the flow as guided I am finding lesser time to dedicate to this space. I close each day with the thought of missing out on being here. Stay amazing you 🙂

      2. I went through a phase such as what you are experiencing almost getting to the point of saying goodbye to my blogging. I felt so much better away from technology. I’ve been doing so much healing work on myself while out in Mother Nature, still putting into perspective my grief for my Mom. Since I have come back getting back in touch with my friends has been wonderful. What is important to me I make time for … and even then, getting here at times is far from easy. Hey you …. YOU stay amazing as well!! (((HUGS)))!!! 💝
