    1. Yet, Rob, we all have light within us but if we do not choose to allow that light to shine, that darkness will consume us. Thank you so much for your compliments regarding what you see in my photography. May you have a most glorious day today! 💕😎💕

  1. An awesome declaration! Yes, never, never, never give up! I have heard those words spoken to me and take them to heart. There is light, and there is ALWAYS light! Sometimes a great reminder is very useful as well as a great declaration!! Love the hawk!! Much love, Donna

    1. Life has a way of really beating you up, Donna. Even though I am strong, just the amount of hits I have received in the last few years has been more than enough to bring me down not only to my knees but flat on my back. Once I give up it will be a fast spiral down. That is not not not an option! I am so glad that these words also reminded you to keep on fighting, to keep on Standing Tall, and never ever let your Light go out! May your day be wonderful! 💕🌹💕

    2. PS That Hawk allowed not only me but many others to stand almost directly underneath of her as she sat perched upon this wire. No one and I mean no one could believe that this wild bird was not afraid of any of us and allowed us to get that close to her. This is an experience I will never forget, Donna!

    1. Celestine, to be truthful with you these last few years and all that they have accumulated within them, just about did me in. The hardships, the losses, betrayals, and on and on… In order to achieve the very purpose I was born to do, I must stand tall and the only way I know how to do that is with the power of God. Bless you for stopping by today and viewing this post that got me fighting again. Much Love to you this day! 💕🌹💕

  2. Wonderful light, colors, reflections and words (and easy to read!) – Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures, Amy. The hawk looks like he was posing for a professional photo – maybe for his next brochure. Excellent!

    1. You are so welcome, Dan! And I thank you for all the lovely words you left for me to read. This experience of this particular Hawk I will never forget, for not only was she allowing me to walk almost right up to her, but many other people as well. There was absolutely no fear from this wild bird of prey when it came to people. I was very lucky with this shot because I was trying to time it perfectly as she turned her head I would snap shut the shutter. The Fierce look in her eye as she looked at me just blew me away! Thank you for telling me this was easy to read… I was actually thinking of you as I created this post. 💕😁💕

Beautiful photos, and your words with them express how many feel right now. I’m heading to a few more of your posts, but I need to leave this for you. It’s by a Canadian hometown boy. STAND TALL

I hope it moves you, as this work of yours has moved me. _Resa

  4. I think your photos are spectacular, each one I’ve seen here today (even hubby’s wires), and your thoughts are very deep. Burton finds strength in his piano. You find strength in your camera.
I apologize for the video in the comments. I thought I was just inserting a link. I’ll have to review how to do a link, without the entire video inserting itself.
Take care, Amy, and much love Lady Pink Rose!💕💖💕💖

    1. No apologies, Resa. Please. I want others to watch this video. Oh yes I do find strength in my camera. You better believe I do! Bless you for saying my photography is spectacular and my thoughts are deep!! There is usually a deeper meaning behind what I write so it takes a very deep person to catch it. Something in me blew wide open as I dealt with the pain of the loss of my Mom, and lately my mouth is dropping open in awe of me, in what I am creating. It was SO wonderful to talk a bit with you. When our paths do cross, it is always a delight. Much Love to ya!! Here here 💥💥💥🍷🍷 to the music we grew up with!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

      1. Both are there somewhere, Brad. My promise to you, just knowing the person that you are, something will happen that will all of a sudden make you pay attention and that Fierce determination to stand tall will once again be prominent in your life. This just happened to me. God is faithful. And there are reasons for us to go through very arid and dark periods of Our Lives even though we do not want to do so. It is so easy to give up. It is so easy to say… Why bother? You’ve got the fighting Spirit In You. And I just know because it is happened to me, that you will find Solid Ground to stand upon once again. In the meantime I keep you in my Heart and in my prayers that the MIRACLE of the turnaround will happen soon to you. Much Love to you this day! 💝💝💝

Nobody can take that away from us. Have a great weekend ahead. Looks like some sunshine at long last!!! We are so saturated with rain….Hugs…VK ❤

    1. I knew you would like this one, VK!! There is a story behind that hawk, one that I won’t forget for a long time. I’m hoping that soon I can get out to Chestnut Ridge Park to get the peak of Fall foliage. It’s been just so strange this year cuz most of the trees are still fully leafed and green.

Sometimes when life keeps slinging mud your way, it’s not easy to stay strong. I admit I crumbled and almost gave up. I keep saying and I’ll say again, my Mom’s death just toppled me over. And still the hits as well just kept on coming without letup. Some events happened recently and in them, something fired back to life within me. That is when these words literally screamed themselves into Being.

Not sure about the weather here. Very windy and temps dropping. Crossing fingers a day will come soon I can go with my camera to catch some wide-angle views of Fall here. It’s been very wet here as well, VK. BIG (((HUGS)))!!! AR

  6. Such an amazing declaration of strength in a dark time. So inspiring your choice of photographs that show , not tell, of the strength in the smallest of us. Thank you Amy , I especially love the voicing of how writing our deepest fears and truths can free us. Sending so much love. ♥️♥️♥️

    1. Oh, Holly, it stirs my Heart tremendously to know that my post gave you something to take with you. Oh yes we live in dark times and darn it!! I will not let the dark drag me down to destroy me. It almost did with just too much happening that consisted of loss, deep pain, betrayals, and more. We can free ourselves in the ways that most suit us. SO much LOVE right back at you!! BIG (((HUGS)))!! 💞💞💞

  7. That’s right, Amy. Keep that fighting spirit in you alive. Your words sound sombre yet so strong. Hard times are hard times and for so many of us there is no running away from hard times – we just have to deal with it and good on you for moving towards what you love doing in these challenging times. There are events and people around us that will make us feel down or get in the way of how we want things be. The least we can do is believe in yourself. And that is what you do. These photos are all stunning, much clarity and the colour all round seems to tingle with life. The shot of the silhouetted folks was not once I was expecting as I don’t recall seeing too many shots with people in them on your blog. well done, and I like how the tree’s leaves illuminate strongly right in the middle of the frame. Keep on doing what you do, Amy. Much love 😊💖

    1. Bless you, Mabel, for these encouraging and uplifting words. I’ve just now come from out of a very heavy and dark tunnel, determined to bring the JOY and the Happy back into my life. So much restructuring has happened and still is happening. If I don’t believe in myself, who will? That has been a major lesson throughout my life, believe me.

As for the silhouettes, I’m getting more courageous shooting people. I’ve had a few bad experiences and hence shy away from doing so. There will most likely come a day I will be someplace where there will be crowds of people and my pictures will reflect that. I’m wide open right now with possibilities, dear friend.

Just thank you so much for this wonderful comment and making time to stop by to read this post. I have so many dreams. For now I reach the dreams I can as I finish up with some pretty important “other” in my life. It’s such a pleasure to have those in my life like you who spur me on to not only pursue my dreams, but to be me. (((HUGS)))! 💝💝💝

      1. ‘If I don’t believe in myself, who will?’ This is such a good thing to say to yourself, Amy. Believing starts with you, as is finding happiness. Good to hear you are getting back and out of the tunnel.

I am sure there will come a time when you will get to do plenty of street photography. Life is strange like that sometimes 🙂 Keep dreaming and be yourself, Amy ❤ ❤ ❤
