    1. Yes, Mark, there are worlds within worlds. Although the world that I would love to be in is the world that consists of my Gardens. Today I go off to the gym to at least get out of this house for a little bit. Between that and my walks and hikes, I am saving myself from despair. Never have I seen weather this bad. Not at this time of the year. Much Love to you this day! 💖🌹💖

      1. Well, if I have any more workouts like I did today the camera would be the last thing on my mind. I worked out like a maniac taking out all my frustrations out over this blasted weather. I can actually laugh again. How about that? I should have a “hidden camera” on me when I work out like this to get the looks some were giving me …. LOL 😂 Ya just don’t make a ruckus or make too many sounds cause that’s just the way things are these days …. I made enough ruckus and enough noise for all combined in that gym today! 😂😂😂

    1. Yes, icicles. The weather here has been atrocious, literally sending me through the ceiling at times. I hang on all Winter long for March/April to get here so I can finally get outside besides walking/hiking. Not so this year. Even my poor cats are having difficulties with this weather. Next week I am hearing 50’s. OMG! Bring it on! And THANK YOU about my pictures. This new lens of mine is incredible!!! Have a good day, Garfield! 😎

  1. It’s the things that we never stop to see that can be amazing. Through your eye and lens, the world is a more interesting place. BTW, wet snow is falling as I type. I have seen only 1 crocus so far, and I was tempted to put a lounge chair next to it and drink a beer. That’s how desperate I am for good weather. 😀

    1. My sympathies, Rob! This weather is driving a LOT of us nuts! THANK YOU about my pictures. I grabbed that camera and lens and just began to shoot whatever my eye fell on. It was rather cool. Hang in there, dear friend!! According to our weather warmer weather is coming next week! (((HUGS)))!!! 😎

      1. Glad to know somebody else was intrigued with the detail. So was I to be truthful. I am astonished by this new lens ability. And yes these were very different from my norm but I have been seeking ways to expand my photography. Another area that I’ve been really thinking about has been parts of people without the faces which express in picture form what they are doing. I have to work on that one… I will be on over to your blog in a little bit. I always love coming over there believe you me. 💖💖💖

      2. It’s exciting to see you branching out with this amazing new lens, there is nothing you can’t do! I love seeing these very fragile and delicate details in familiar things that we only see from a distance. So much going on in there! 💖💖💖

I have many ideas turning around in my head that I still don’t know quite how I will go about doing them. But in time I’ll we figure it out and you will see the results here. Again I thank you for saying what you have. Your excitement just gets me more motivated to carry out what I have in my head to do. It’ll all work out eventually… What a journey I am on! 🌹😁🌹

  3. Wonderful photographs again Amy. Do hope that spring will soon put in a real appearance for you. We seem to have waited a long time for ours over here as well, but nothing compared to your weather. Today the sun is brilliant, the cherry blossom covering the grass like pink snow, and it’s just beautiful. Would like to send some of it your way. Love and hugs xx

    1. Thank you, Chris, regarding my pictures!! I’m hearing next week the weather will improve so today after a very challenging gym workout, I’m feeling much more like myself and will tolerate just a few more days of cold and grey. I’m so happy for YOU that the sun is out and the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Oh for that sweet sweet smell!!! I’m just imagining that smell in my mind right now! Much Love to you and HUGS right back to you!! 💝💝💝

  4. I really, really like the yarn. These are nice, truly.
I appreciate your sadness over the iced daffies, but I promise you, warm weather will arrive.
I will say, I notice that in my April 2017 pics, I already had ALL open tulips and apple blossoms… so yes, it really might be delayed a bit. Then again, the neighbor’s tulip tree is in glorious bloom! We’re going to have a week of 40-60. I don’t mind. May you get a burst of warm weather so you can stop crawling the walls and kick up your heels instead 🙂

    1. Yeah you would appreciate that yarn picture. LOL IF you look closely you will see all the cat hair on it because it is from one very loved afgan. I have deliberately not looked at my 2017 flower pictures because I know without a doubt that my tulips and more were all open at this point in the year last year. I am really looking forward to next week because I am hearing fifties close to sixties. Only a few more days to hang in there! I am off to the gym to take my frustration out and getting a good workout in as well. I have yet to decide which body part I want to work… Perhaps a combination today. Thank you, Joey, for making the time to stop again and to comment on another post of mine today. It is very appreciated by me. (((HUGS))) 🌹

Get your grrr on at the gym! Show those icicles what’s up!
Yes, but doesn’t pet hair make everything so much more cozy? lol

      2. About that pet hair… I agree but some others don’t. I once had a cleaning service come into my house to help me out with the cleaning. That however, did not last very long because one of the young women commented about how awful all this hair was and there was no way she could live with that. I fired them on the spot. LOL 😘

      3. Oh yeah, that won’t do. Nope. I’ve had people say the same, although they were not in my employ. I showed a coworker my dress coat once, right about the knee, where Sadie greets me with a lean, she leaves gobs of hair. I said, “This is just happy to see you hair.” She gagged. LOL She would not make it as a guest.

      4. Oh too funny! I have certain people who won’t even enter my house because it’s in their opinion filthy. However, on one occasion one of those people actually did step into my house. He did not see me where I was standing and the astonishment on his face I wish I could have taken a picture off. He could not believe how clean my house was. We don’t need people like that in our lives, Joey. No thank you. A roller brush does come in handy for my black wool coat. LOL

        Liked by 1 person

      5. We keep the roller brush by the front door 🙂 No one would say my house is filthy, but they might not always enjoy the hairs. I always throw a quilt over MIL’s guest chair when she comes, but she’s special. lol

      6. Our houses are what they are …. with a lot of LOVE in them! My neighbor and I laugh (she owns THREE Mastiffs!) and say pet hair is a condiment in our homes. LOL But of course MIL’s guest chair is special. If mine were still alive I would throw a quilt over the chair she would sit on.
Am back from the gym and OH did I ever take my aggravation out in there. I was a maniac! LOL I was so hopping mad at one point, I didn’t care who saw me! I literally stood in place in between sets and ran and then did the high 5 for ME! I ran from one machine to the next …. barely getting a breather in between and making ALL kinds of appropriate grunts and groans. Tee hee …. ah yes, I’m feeling SO much better thank you! And the looks? Guys knew better then to even get near me! I showed ‘um! OH man, if only you could have seen …. 😂😂😂

  5. Poor AmyRose, it was like this here (south France) every day we had rain fresh temperatures and suddenly the sun appears and it’s more and more hot in only 3 days. Today evening we have 30°C ! It’s mad, but I prefer this weather. Obviously I have planted all I wanted in my vegetable garden and it’s growing now. I wish you a lot of sun and I am sure that spring time will arrive very soon for you !😊😘🌞🌞🌞

  6. So sorry for your very, very long winter – ours just let up for the past day or two here as we have some sun!! But still too soon to get excited, may be another frost coming so have to wait to cheer! My gosh – you must be bored to tears – shooting stuff around your house – not that those shots aren’t very impressive – I love your new lens – what detail!! Here’s praying you get a long, warm break in the cold weather and get back to Mother!! Much love to you!! Donna

    1. Oh, Donna, I am SO happy for you that your Spring is springing! YAY! I’m not so much bored as crawling the walls just not wanting to be indoors anymore. I honestly do not like to clean even though there is so much I could clean out. I must do other then cats all the time … too much of a good thing not a good thing. Reading? I’m just about all read out. Movies? Again just about all movied out. Work on my baby blanket? Naw, too much work. I did go to the gym today and was like a wild woman. LOL I was ferocious working out, grunting and groaning and running back and forth to this machine and that one. I worked back and legs today …. yow! The “boys” knew better to even approach me. LOL OH did I get looks …. especially when I ran in place and then punched the air, saying a loud YES! Tee hee …. whew … oh yes I released a whole lot of tension. LOL Thank God! Much LOVE to you, dear friend!!! (giggling as I write) …. 😂😂😂

    1. Hi, Sarah! I had fun doing these photos, taking pictures of what caught my eye. As for me getting outside I did Monday in the pouring rain with flood warnings. I was the last person out of Chestnut Park and because a ranger was sitting in his pickup I knew the park was closed due to the weather. OH did it pour and I didn’t care! I was OUT and it wasn’t snowing! Due to the terrible weather we have had here I wouldn’t doubt it if someone or others have gotten seriously hurt in this park and that is why that ranger was closing that entrance. SO glad you enjoyed this unusual post from me. Much Love to you and thank you for the well wishes regarding the weather!!! 💖💖💖

  9. You got a great chance to test your new lens indoor, before your spring arrives, dear Amy. Great results 😀
I think, that we will have hairs all over the house, when we have cats and dogs indoor. By regular cleaning they should be reduced sometimes. Otherwise the rolls are good to help.

We have had a while with rain, hard wind and cold here too, but the last days show, that the spring is coming here now. It is possible to stay outside in less clothe in daytime. At the nights it is still cold, but it is okay, so long time we can enjoy our outdoor life in daytime.

Send you lots of kind thoughts with lots of sunshine.

    Much love to you ❤

    1. I did get a good chance to try my new lens indoors. I still have one more to really take pics with but I’m saving that one for a special occasion. As for hairs …. I could vacuum every day and still have hairs. LOL I don’t care! Let us both hope that warmth and sun are in our near future! Bless you for your kind thoughts, Irene!! (((HUGS))) 💝

  10. I like the photo of the ice, but I am so sorry that you were able to take it in April. I like the collection of “Amy needs to use her camera” photos – I feel your pain, and I can only imagine how much worse it is, knowing that you have new gear to play with.

It will end, Amy – Winter will end.

    1. Yes I like that photo too, Dan. Thank you for the encouragement!! Oh yes this cold will end and I will be out running of course attempting to take all of Spring in with my camera and new lens (s). I still have yet to show pics from my other new lens … I’m waiting for the perfect moment! (((HUGS)))! 💖

  11. I absolutely love the first photo dear Amy, yet I hear you about the long winter. It is like being entertained with a guest far too long- having done all that can be done for them as hosts, appreciate, acknowledge, gratitude, everything done – now what? I truly wish these are one of your last amazing clicks of ice and snow this year. The indoor clicks and the details are equally beautiful!

    1. Thank you, Pragalbha, for the feedback on my photographs. I could have taken a lot more pictures of the ice but it was just too cold and it was treacherous walking …. very slippery! Today for the first time in a very long time the sun is shining though still very cold. We are getting there!! Much Love to you! 💝

  12. Ha, you’ve got a fair amount of company, Amy! I’ve been just going out anyway. Gardening amid snow flurries, walking in the pouring rain, I just HAVE to be outside. The tide will have turn eventually… hang in there!

    1. I’m like you, Eliza … I HAVE to be outside. It’s been so dangerous here what with ice storms and very high winds and then snow blizzards … but I managed to get out to a park for a challenging hike. When I came out a Ranger was sitting in his pickup at the entrance. When a Ranger does that, it means the park is closed. Flood warnings were called for that day. As it was it was pouring rain. I would not doubt, what with the dangerous weather and all, there have been some who managed to get hurt in this park. Now Rangers aren’t taking chances right now. And good for YOU getting out in your gardens. I just came in from hanging up more bird feeders so I too have officially begun! YAYAY!!!! 😎

  15. I do understand your pain my dear. Having spent the last few months in England, we were under one cold spell after another. Then for whatever reason, the sun broke out a week ago and we had summer weather for a week! People were out in their shorts eating ice cream and the trees bloomed and it was glorious! Even a little too hot at times. Our cooler weather has returned for a week, but we got a break. Yours will come. Hang on to those little seeds. ❤

  16. Beautiful images Amy.. And yes I think many of us have had enough of our extended Winter..
Then last week here in the UK we had a heat wave.. High temps on record for April in 70 yrs… 25 and 25C.. This week we plunge back down to cold wind, rain, thunder and Hail and temps of 11 C..
Sending warm hugs and Spring is on its way.. The birds are nesting! 🙂

    1. Spring is springing here finally, Sue, and yes birds are nesting as well. Still however NO leaves on our trees which is so so strange, making it look like March instead of April. These poor trees have been trying to bud and leaf out but kept getting hit with snow and ice. Now it is raining …. and I’m seeing faint traces of a blush of green on bushes. Oh for the JOY!!! 😎

      1. We had one week of Summer weather with the high temps Amy and the leaves just appeared in that week.. And our lawn grew about an inch in that week too. 🙂
Raining here again today hence I am on my laptop, and forecast to go cold and even may get more snow on the hills at the weekend.. The weather can not make up its mind what to do this year.. ❤
