    1. These are Crocuses, Garfield. They are very tiny and usually the first flowers to pop up in Spring. I actually saw Honey Bees on these the other day when the sun was out and it was warm. And thank you about me. I’ve really been trying to get back into an exercise routine after falling out of mine when Rocky and Echo became so ill. Have a great weekend!!! Much Love to you!! 💖🌸💖

      1. Nope. I was actually laying on the ground on my belly taking these shots! With the exception being on the one that I was looking down at the group of Crocuses I was actually standing in a crouched position. And at the time there was no snow but the ground was surely very cold.

  1. Hi Amy,

that is very strange about your last post. Maybe your account is hacked ?
Anyway, wonderful post and pictures . I can really feel your passion in your pictures, you really like to take a pictures, right !?

    1. Ben, I have no way in explaining how a post of mine got published and it did not even show on my blog. I also was not finished with that post at the time it was supposedly published. Also that post had zero likes and 0 comments which I find awfully strange. When is the last time you ever saw any of my posts with 0 likes or 0 comments? I changed some things to make security tighter just in case there was hanky panky. And thank you about my photography because yes I really do love what I do. I took your advice and am now bringing my Samsung camera with me wherever I go. Hence the shot of the library. I am not fond of the pictures that my Samsung cell phone takes so from now on it is my Samsung camera I carry with me. May you have a glorious day today and have a great weekend! Much Love to you this day. 💖🌹💖🌸💖

  2. Great photos Amy – they are really all so alive and bright!! I love them all!! You are a wonderful photographer – instead of reading the camera manual – you need to write one!! We are having snow and cold here too in the UK. A huge blast of cold for a few days. Hoping March will go out the lamb!! Love to you and keep on pressing!! Donna

    1. Oh, Donna, bless you from the bottom of my Heart for the words that you wrote today. I really LOVE taking pictures and with every one I do take my Heart is evident in all of them. Thank you, dear friend! Stay warm as I plan on doing and this too shall pass. Soon we will again both be seeing sunshine and warmth and all the snow will be gone until next Winter. Yay! Much Love to you this day! 💕🌹💕

    2. Friend, in all seriousness, my camera really and truly is my therapist. Without it I would be lost. When I am behind a camera in my hands, my sadness and my pain all but disappear getting caught up in the magic that I see in my viewfinder. Now you know my secret. Now you know for real. 🥀🥀🥀

      1. I know what you are saying Amy, I can see it in your photos, always have. There is something about turning grief and sadness into beauty, like a transmutation kind of thing through art and creativity. It’s quite common with artists, writers, poets and photographers. Almost like seeing/feeling with a different eye, one that is deep and present because of what feelings are moving you at the time. I, myself am seeing my creative side blossom and may write a post on it. I wasn’t in touch with it before because of suppressed feelings. Now it’s able to surface because I’m not suppressing anymore. I can use the feelings for creation! Thanks for sharing yourself my friend!! Love to you, Donna

      2. Donna, this Gift of being an artist is a two-edged sword, for it gives you space to develop the ability to feel deeply. Perhaps this is why I’ve had such a challenging life in order for me to create Beauty as I do. I would however, truly like to start having a FUN light life to create from. You know what I mean? You keep on allowing suppressed feelings to surface for in doing so, you are freeing yourself. You know this. I am so proud of you, dear friend. Keep on shining!!! 🦋🌹🦋

  3. Good thing you captured those brilliant crocuses, Amy — wow, what a frigid onslaught you and the crocuses got. Fun post, great photos. I like the image I have of you in the library stacks taking this photo. Stay warm this weekend!

    1. In a few minutes I plan on stepping outside to help hubby clear off the trees as best as we can and our roof. This snow is extremely wet and heavy and this afternoon is forecasted extremely high winds. We are concerned about damage so we have to do what we can to prevent that from happening. After that I intend to stay in the house and stay warm! And about me being in the library, I could stay in a library for hours because I love love love being there, Jet. May your day be filled with much Love and Peace! 💕🌸🌻💕

May you know much Love and Peace and laughter too on this day! 💕🌹💕

      2. Another confirmation for me, B. Thank you. Too many people get very uncomfortable when passionate emotions are displayed. They are the very ones who have pushed their own emotions down so far they no longer are connected to them, yet due to this dis-connect, find themselves living in gross dysfunction. I do not compromise me. I believe with all I am that I am true to myself even when I get people upset. Why is it in this world we are so discouraged to not express ourselves (in REAL life) in a healthy manner ALL of our emotions? Bless you for saying what you did. I am blessed! (((HUGS))) Amy🌹

  4. Amazing picture Amy, #7… sigh, love that! My blog was hacked back in March of last year Amy, Some one actually gained access to the administrative board. I freaked and closed it to reopen this new one, starting all over again.
I hope that’s not the case with this mishap. Have the most beautiful weekend sweet lady, sending hugs, warm ones cause its 90 degrees here today! ❤

    1. Thank you, Holly, about picture number 7. Although I thought we were done with snow evidently we are not. My blog was actually broken into a couple years back and a friend of mine who worked in security recommended that I change the password every now and then. I know that is easy to overlook because passwords can be a pain in the ass! Yes keep it in mind to do that very thing and make sure you keep track of what the new password is. I have been known to forget my password as I pull out my hair putting password after password in and none of them are right. LOL As for this this post I was talking about, it is just very very strange that it did not show up on my blog first of all, and that there were no comments or likes. Your guess is as good as mine what actually happened. May you have a beautiful day with a much much Love within it! 💕🌸🌹💖

I always thought, maybe they deleted the post and then wrote it again. Or perhaps they wrote it in a format on another program and uploaded, and my ipad would not decypher. Hopefully, it doesnt happen again.

  7. Wow, I just love your crocuses Amy, they are really beautiful 😀

I see, why you need to help the branches of your trees, that snow looks very heavy weight. Take good care out there.

Do you use 2-ways verification, so you get an sms, when someone try to login from another IP address? I do, I had problems after my PC was in for checking after our electricity problems in January, but I installed this last year. Now I don’t have this kind of problems any longer.

Much love to you, dear friend ❤

    1. THANK YOU, Irene! I just enabled 2-way verification. Much obliged to you! I’m getting really serious about security. And yes these Crocuses are gorgeous. I will put money on them that they survive this snow and will again be showing their glorious selves. I just came in from outside after I got as much snow as I could from off our branches. The winds that were supposed to be here are not. Huh. Anyway you look at it, if those winds get here, our trees will suffer no more damage. Much Love to you!!! 💖🌸💖

  8. lol…who me? Your season of lovely ‘cool’ weather is coming to an end Amy…well, with a tiny little blast of snow to remind you of what you’ll be missing 😀
And yes, my glorious summer days are coming to an end, I actually has to pull a sheet over me last night, there was this breeze that was just a teeny bit cool 😀
So I bid goodbye to 45C (113F) heat for a freezing winter that gets down to about 14C (57F), mind you, there would be many that would be amazed at the mid winter temps that are almost like Spring elsewhere 😀
Enjoy the warmth and beautiful Spring glow Amy, you deserve it after all have had enough of that cold, closed in season. Especially for your fur babies ❤ 😀

As for those temps YOU mentioned, yeeghads! No thank you! That is too hot! Over on my end this tiny bit of blast is just Mother’s way of saying See Ya! I can handle it. I’m looking forward to Spring as are our cats. I wasn’t as closed in as they were by no means. I do get out and about in the cold because well, ya know, I have the right and proper clothes to put on to stay warm. SO glad you laughed, Mark! LOL My sense of humor is starting to kick alive again. That’s a good sign, I would think! Much Love with many laughs!! 😆🌸🦋

      1. You have been a busy little bee regardless of the weather. I was suitably impressed by the hawk photo, as you said, the timing is critical. I don’t know how many times I have tried that only to get a clear shot of nothing, they had suddenly ‘moved’ and I missed the shot. Actually I am so amazed at what I’m looking at I forget the camera just to watch something beautiful.
I was out one day walking along the coastline and bumped into a mother whale and her calf. I was so taken by the experience of watching them for over half an hour I forgot to take a picture. But it was still worth its weight in gold to see them so close to shore 😀

      2. Wow, a mother whale and calf! I too would have been so taken up in the moment I would not have even bothered with my camera. There have been many times, Mark, that I just stand there and stand in awe. I just had to get that hawk though or at least try. I didn’t take my eye off of him. I stared at him through my viewfinder and to this day still have trouble believing I was able to press that shutter. *sigh* The Ocean …. lucky you!!! Another dream of mine …. 😉

    1. March in this geographical area is very unpredictable. But the good news is for us like I said in my post, when that lion roars and dumps snow at the beginning of March, the end of March is beautiful. YES! I’m also doing my best to remain stable, Prag, even though I am still having days that are very emotional for me. Overall, though, I have come through so much and succeeded at getting both feet planted firmly on the ground again and Peace staying deep within my Heart. Bless you, dear friend, and may your day be filled with Love and Joy!! 💖💖💖

  10. Winter’s return here is in the form of very cold rain. Well over an inch so far but draining away, not piling up or drifting. I’ll take a wet lion over a white lion any days.

Great photos. I hope the little flowers survive. Kudos on the weights.

  11. Hi Amy 🙂 Thank you for letting me see the beautiful and delicate little flowers!! ❤ The sunrise this morning was almost as orange as the center of the flowers. 🙂 The weather goes up and down in March here as well. The bitter cold usually ends with February. It can still snow and be very very windy. Good to hear you are diligently strengthening your body. 🙂 Libraries (and bookstores) are like comfort food to me. There is something reassuring about being surrounded by shelves of books. I hope you enjoy your selections and stay warm and dry! Love and blessings for you. ❤ ❤ ❤

    1. I love libraries and as far back as I can remember I’ve been in one, always leaving with a stack of books. When younger I was seriously involved with body building and with that knowledge under my belt, I’m attempting to get back to it, only this time adjusting my workouts accordingly due to the “age difference”. I’ll be very relieved to say goodbye to the snow once and for all. All my Maple trees were beginning to bud and I’m not sure if the snow killed these buds or if they will be OK. I’ll soon know one way or another. May you have a great weekend, Sarah! I’m staying warm with my nose in a good book. Much Love!! 💞🌹💞

  12. I’m not here to say anything profound as it’s Friday evening after a busy work week. My cranial cells are basking in nowhere land. But,I just wanted to EXPOUND some serious adulation for your macros! I can barely wait for spring to descend here; to once more be on my knees in front of flowers that deserve camera worship…

And thumbs up to the bench-press pic – you rock 🙂

    1. Wow, Diana, I am blown away by your comment! I’ve put years in perfecting my macro shots and still to this day I am pushing myself to do “new”. As for you worshipping my flowers ….. naw, no need. Just drink in their Beauty and “hear” the message of Love they bring to you. THANK YOU on the bench press. My maximum weight used to be 125 pounds and slowly, ever so slowly I work my way back up. Between “age” and just starting out again, this stuff is not easy and the smart way is to begin slow and steady. I’m sore, yes, but it is not a sore where I cannot move … been there done that! Bless you for the encouragement. I do plan on keeping my friends updated on my progress in the gym. May you have a great weekend filled with Love and laughter!! 💖🌼💖

      1. Goodness Amy! Are you telling me you could once bench press more than my weight. With my little biceps I can barely do a third of a push up haha!
I shall drink in the beauty of your sublime flower photography and look forward to getting out imminently with my mirrorless and lens. I find I almost go blue in the face trying to hold my breath while gently pressing the shutter, in between breeze gusts and sunny moments! It takes supreme patience and this is how I’m assured of your skill, and artistry. Have a lovely Sunday dear lady! ❤

      2. Diana, I cannot even imagine someone being only 65 pounds! Oh my goodness! My maximum bench press weight used to be 125 pounds, which I am slowly working back up to. Mind you, I have the “age” thing going on, so I may not for my own safety, again bench that much weight. That’s OK. I am doing what I can for me NOW. And about my photography …. I LOVE what I do and have put in thousands of hours of “practice” to shoot the way I do today. I’m still improving and still learning which challenges me to try new and different. I’ve been looking at a certain mirrorless camera and lens (my Canon is not) to buy. I have a mirrorless camera now, a Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, which is good, yet, I would like to own a “professional” mirrorless camera. We’ll see. The price tag is what is stopping me from buying right away. I must think this over very carefully first. Wow. I got on a tangent here. LOL I so do agree with you it takes a lot of patience when you are working with macro photography because you want the winds as still as possible before you press the shutter. Now that you know a “little” about me …. may you have a glorious Sunday today!!! Much Love! 💞🌼🌸💞

      3. It’s so nice to have such pleasant chats in comment sections! 🙂
Oh sorry for the mixup, I meant that I was 113 lbs at my lowest and that means you could have hoisted my like a sack of potatoes (oh geez, now I’m craving some French fries lol).

I have an Olympus OMD mirrorless which I am quite pleased with, although it’s a first generation. I was inspired to start Macro after seeing some beautiful examples on WP, and was surprised to discover the very narrow focus of my new (on sale) lens. It really is a labour of love, yet when even one picture turns out during a shoot … it’s usually something quite breathtaking isn’t it!?

Hope your day is full of colour and smiles! Love back to you Amy ❤

      4. Yes, Diana, I so agree with you about having beautiful chats in the comments. I used to all the time but between the growing number of followers and then my life getting very difficult and complicated, something had to give. It is just now that I have again begun to really talk and it feels delicious!!

Very awesome on the Olympus! I haven’t yet looked at those cameras but I have had my eye on a Sony camera with a price tag that is up there. I’ve always dreamed of working with two camera bodies (professional or semiprofessional level) and this one would do it along with a lens I’m thinking 24-105mm zoom. My macro …. ya can’t take my Canon from me for that! Macro takes a very steady hand especially in a low crouch or what I call my “garden yoga poses”. LOL Yes it is a labor of Love which I just LOVE!!

I had a wonderful day, thank you! I’m having a bit of a tussle with my male cats who I’m about ready to hang up by their tails. I would not ever do that … Every Spring they start misbehaving (they come from a wild or feral background) which just about sends me to screaming. But I don’t. This Spring fever thing will soon be over, thank goodness!! I find my outlet for my stress through my camera, hiking, biking, gardening, yoga, gym. That does it!! LOL

SOOOO good talking to you! I hope YOUR day was a great one too! I’m just so happy our paths have crossed!!! Much Love to you!! 💞🌼💞

  13. Very crisp photos as usual, Amy. Flowers have so much beauty and confidence, always to be admired and looked up too. Though it seems to be a challenging start to much, sounds like you are being very level-headed. It is annoying when tech glitches happen with WP and sometimes it can take weeks to resolve – even if WP engineers are being helpful. At least it hasn’t dampened your spirits to do another blog post 🙂 Here in AussieLand we are still in summer full swing, at least where I am here in Melbourne. Not complaining and am enjoying it while it lasts. Because when that heat moves on, it will move on quick lol. Enjoy your weekend and have a good week ❤

  14. Wonderful shots of the crocuses Amy and seems we both had an icy blast the beginning of March.. Keep snug, you look very snug and a good time to hunker down with a good book or a tv series.
And yes that is the saying and it certainly roared in here with the snow storms in the UK last week.
I also contacted WP over a New comment from some one which had the link to my Stats page, how does that happen? all I got was someone was dealing with it, provide my web address, then a thank you glad you were satisfied.. when I had not got even an answer. Makes me wonder if there is anyone behind those help desk faces others than a search engine. So redirected my complaint and still heard nothing. ..

So I sympathise about your lost post.
