Light, More Light

    1. I may have high “numbers” associated with my name, but I can still move fast, LOL. Thank goodness I decided to fold laundry at that time and saw what I did. I have a habit of doing that. Hmmmmm ….. Much Love to you! 🌹

  1. Hi Amy,

light…I love that word, because it reminds me of positive energy in life.Darkness is simply the absence of light. You really have a keen eye, and I think that you should wear your camera around your neck not to miss something !

    1. I’ve thought about keeping my cellphone in my pocket … my camera is too heavy to wear around my neck all the time and it would seriously get in my way. However, I am always forgetting that cellphone on account I focus my all on what I am doing in the Moment. Thank you for the compliment about my keen eye … I’m constantly looking outside as I work inside for my eyes are always drawn to the Natural versus the material. Usually. FYI … every time I leave a comment on your site, it disappears. May you have a really good day today!! Much Love! 💝

  2. Gorgeous shot, Amy. It really caught my attention. The copper hues lead me to other conclusions other than what you hoped to capture, I’m sure. These colours are well documented as the sign of the return of a certain planetary body. I’m sure I don’t have to mention it.
Yes Spring is right around the corner, even if I still have and 8 foot pile of snow in my yard from shovelling the driveway that is barely melting. 🙂 Spring has arrived in more ways than one this year. A time of renewal is at hand.

    1. There have been many times that even when I am indoors and doing chores my focus is on the outside world. I have seen these colors many times and have observed they seem to be deepening. I’ve also seen the phenomena that I seem to be in the right place at the right time in order to capture a beautiful picture. I hope things warm up your way and I am grateful to be truthful with you that I do live here without the huge mounds of snow as you have. Winter is not my particularly favorite time of the year yet this year I was determined to enjoy it and I did! May you have a wonderful day today! Much Love to you! 💕🌹💕

      1. We lived in the States many years, generally in the northern climes: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, and Michigan to name a few. I always looked forward to winter then as I do now. We just have a little bit more of it up here, that’s all. ;^)
I love living in a place with four seasons and have always enjoyed these, but the length of each season has switched a time or two, like say from Nevada to here. So I’m not too much bothered by what is outside for I can take in its beauty regardless.
As you, I love being in nature and its restorative qualities. It’s changes are an open book, a directioneering book. It’s resonance is sublime, even if I have to look at it through a window as I keep my toes warm inside. 🙂
Have a wonderful day as well, dear Amy. Enjoy the Spring which is upon you!

      2. I do enjoy the Four Seasons and just this winter I have learned to enjoy that season as well. All seasons have a place and I have come to understand what role winter plays in my life. I have lived in places where it is warm all the time and that is just not for me. I dream of eventually living by a great body of water and mountains with the Four Seasons. Where that place would be I do not know at this time yet, if it is to be I will know. You can enjoy my Spring through my camera in what I show here. The amount of snow your way is a little bit too much for me which in turn makes me even more grateful to live where I do. I shall have a wonderful day today, and so far it has been just that. I see the temperatures here in the 50s and even though it looks threatening with rain, I do plan on going for a walk in one of my Forests. I feel the draw, I feel the urge, and so I go. Have a great day… 😙😊🌱🥀

    1. I really am psyched this year! I have all kinds of ideas swirling around in my head on what I’m going to do new with my photography this year. This week the temperatures are going up into the 50s and 60s so with any luck my crocuses will pop into flower. Oh I can’t wait to see my yellow daffies and my red tulips and all the rest of what I have! I am so happy that you are enjoying what I am showing here. I LOVE to share! Much Love to you this day! 💕🌹🌱🥀💕

      1. I have different settings for landscape and macro. I also change the WB according to what light I am working with. Then of course because I changed the f/stop I had to change the shutter speed. I usually work in Manual mode so I am in control of all the settings. It can be quite a lot at first but you do get used to it. Good luck!! 👏🏼👏🏼

  3. LOL….My two have been doing what we call ‘Fooly Fits’ where they race around tearing up area rugs, pulling fur out and tipping over things. Yes indeed the energy has returned big time! Not as much sleeping going on…Spring is in the air all around….Enjoy it!!! VK ❤

    1. I Love sunrises and sunsets too, Erika. Unfortunately due to all the building that has happened here, it is not easy to see a clear sunset or sunrise from our home, like I used to be able to. You are very welcome for this share!!! Wait until you see what is coming here tomorrow …. I walked into Magic yesterday with a capital M!!! Much Love to you!! 💖💖💖

    1. Tee hee ….. If only you really knew what some of my days were like. LOL I’m in GO mode …. I am so focused on getting everything and I do mean everything I have on my “list” to get done inside this house. Spring is here, Dan. I saw a Weeping Willow Tree yesterday in bud. In February? Oh boy!! That means I will be in my gardens and soon. Once there, my housework takes a back burner. I’m SO happy you enjoyed the sunset. Wait until you see my tribute to Winter here tomorrow!!! You will have a lot of wow’s! Much Love to you!!! 💝💝💝

  5. So beautiful, Amy. I love sunset photos–I must since I’m constantly taking them from my window. Haven’t seen any fresh spring green here yet, but the temperature is close to 70 f. so hopefully soon. Not too soon though because we always seem to get a killing frost just about the time the fruit trees are setting the blooms. Not a good thing.

I think your babies are getting restless for a little bit of time in the sun. They do love attention at the most inconvenient times, don;t they

    1. Hi, Angie! Today I actually did see 70 but the pouring rain cooled things down to the 60’s. I’ll take it, thank you! I am seeing Daffies coming up, not only Crocuses in my gardens and I saw a Weeping Willow Tree budding! In February? March yes, but now? Oh wow! So I make haste to get my indoor house stuff done so when I do step into my gardens I don’t have to have house stuff on my mind. Hope you are doing well, dear friend. I’m healing and am determined to gain back all my strength in order to get into JOY. My Mom has been with me constantly lately …. I feel her presence and have had actual conversations with her. Much LOVE to you this day!! 💞🌹💞

      1. We have had such warm weather lately, but the rain is moving in again now. My sciatica is really giving me fits because of the changing weather — so bad I actually asked my doctor for a muscle relaxer today really getting her attention because I go to great lengths to avoid taking pills!

My mom only came to me that one time when she was preparing me for what seemed like imminent death. I was given the option of going then, and to tell the truth I was so close it was really happening, but at the last second I thought about what a shock it would be to my kids who had just lost their dad so suddenly and recently and I pulled back. At times I wish I had gone on, but guess God wasn’t ready for me yet or there wouldn’t have been the option. I must still have something that is unfinished but sure wish I knew what! I’m so tired

      2. So sorry to hear about your sciatica, Angie. I know only too well that pain. The only way I get control over it is by exercising. And that hurts! As for my Mom, her presence has been with me almost continuously. All I have to do is close my eyes and call for her and she is there. The other day when I took a walk through a forest, she was there with me … I just felt her glee along with mine. Don’t miss the post that is coming today, Angie. You will not believe your eyes about not only what I saw but how I edited my pictures. The “high” that I am experiencing I cherish with all my might!! Much LOVE to you!! 💖💖💖

    1. Yes, Donna!!! I really do have conversations with my cats … they are very real. No, they are not words but are contingent on many other factors that are very clear to me. I am SO happy you enjoyed this picture …. I am squirming in my seat waiting for tomorrow because of my tribute to Winter that is coming tomorrow. Oh, Donna!!! The Beauty that I am seeing is blowing me away!!! Much Love to you!! 💖💖💖
