Heck! Yeah, Again! (4 IMAGES)

Why not, I ask?  So again I played while it blew the white stuff outside.  I poked my head out last evening thinking darn that and that and oh yeah that would be lovely to get as night macro shots.  Then …. no way!  Sorry, even for you I am not about to freeze my arse off.  I did a few times last year and I’m just working up to the freeze part this year.

So I stayed inside and played.  The two photos here, originals from yesterday, the first one was taken over inside my neighbor’s barn and the second one from out of my kitchen window.  The cat you see is Echo, the deaf cat who we take care of as best we can.  He is all curled up in a nest I made for him with another one right next to his for Jersey, his sister.  I’ve come a long way in the trust department with this guy because he gave me direct eye contact with my cellphone.  That’s a wow in my book!!

The first digital art image was done in Photo Studio Pro app. and the second one done in PicsArt, photo apps on my cellphone.  They were then imported to PS and edited further.  The originals I edited in PS.

    1. Thank you, Rob! That’s my favorite too. In fact I had the assistance from two 4-year olds asking which photo they liked out of two. I had another done with digital art with Echo but the girls chose this one. It’s Christmasy with the lights and all. SO glad you enjoyed this. Thank you again for taking the time to comment.     1. Sorry about making you cold, Susan. Please go grab a sweater because what is coming to Petals are snow landscapes. Yep! I was out hiking through about 10 inches of snow and I think I captured some pretty good images. But they are SNOW. Just warning you! SO happy you enjoyed what I did here!!! ❤

    1. To know the Love and Trust of an animal who has been abused and neglected, that is my Gift, Irene. I cannot do enough for them and that includes Cherish the horse. I’m on my way over there now in a few moments, dressing for the extreme cold. I know I will have to break ice off all watering dishes and Cherish’s bucket. I hope I can find a hammer or something over there because that ice gets real thick and it is not possible for me to break with my hands alone. I used to bring my own hammer but no more. It got rusty. ❤

      1. Maybe you can use the same, as I did years ago. I used an electrical heater for water in a can, boiled a full can and brought to the buckets of the animals. This will melt the ice very fast and save you for a big job.
        You are a beautiful soul, dear Amy and I’m sure, that all the animals in the area cherish you with much love ❤

      2. That’s a really good idea, Irene, plus it will warm up Cherish’s water (the horse) as well. I dug out a lot of ice from that bucket today because the owners do not do it. So I do. I am only doing what is right by these animals. I lived here too many years turning a blind eye until I could not take it one more moment. Now I continue my best to help these precious guys. 🙂 ❤

        Does this horse have a house or so to stay inside in bad weather? Where I come from, it is demanded, that all outdoor animals have a place to hide from wind and weather.

      4. She is in this barn, Irene, and is the main source of heat for this barn. Yes she is protected from the elements. Here too it is law that horses must have protection against the elements. ❤

  14. Hey Amy, you got lots of white fluffy stuff to play in. Ok, the drawback is a bit cool 🙂
    Love the hidey hole for the first and second picture, much trust in those eyes peeking out, you most definitely have been accepted.
    And in the third picture, the first thing I thought of was cat claw marks as the cat slid down the frosty window 😀
    Then I saw it was a play with the fourth picture….it looks cold ‘out there’ 🙂

    1. LOL@Mark regarding your interpretation of my pole barn picture! LOL And yes I really do have the trust of Echo, something I have worked years to attain. Cats as a rule do not give direct eye contact unless they feel very comfortable with you and really trust you. It is my honor this beautiful cat loves me the way he does. I do my best to keep him and Jersey and Tee warm and fed through the winter months. Echo during the warm months literally lived in my gardens. He hates it in that barn. It took quite a lot of convincing to get him to go back. And yes it is cold out here. 🙂 ❤

  16. Brilliant playing, Amy. I like how the final version looks like a dreamy bubble, like a bubble where you can see into the future. Looks like a lot of the white stuff out there. Maybe it will blow over soon and you can go out with the camera again 😊

    1. Thank you humbly, Mabel, for the compliment. Both of these images took quite a lot of time as I put into them a lot more then I am used to doing. I thought the cat picture looked Christmasy with all the lights and ornament-like structure. I like your interpretation too! And the snow has blown over giving me opportunity to go out with my camera today. This photos to come. (smile) ❤

  17. That cold is heading our way, Amy. I would say that I don’t know if I would go out and get photos, but I actually have a plan to do that. These are great photos. I like how you seem to be getting out of your comfort zone on these (and not just that warm place in the house). The results are fascinating.

    1. Good luck with that cold, Dan. It has come and gone here and I actually was able to hike through about 10 inches of snow for 2 hours to get some pretty good shots. What a workout! Whew! And yes I have been pushing myself out of my comfort zone. How else will I know what else I can do? It’s scary yet exhilarating when I sit back and say wow, I did that?!? LOL Thank YOU for the compliment and the encouragement! Both mean a lot to me. ❤
