    1. Just think, Van, if I had given into the exhaustion and pain, I would have missed this once in a lifetime shot. That’s the whole miracle about this image. I couldn’t even envision myself getting down to the ground, I was just that sore, and to not only to do so, but to see this …. Blow me away! I’ve begun to get the hang of this camera!! Oh for the JOY! 🙂 ❤

    1. Yes, Scott, that is exactly what had me gasping. The light that was streaming from the low horizon sun which in turn created magic just blew me away. I’m getting the hang of this camera!! Lots more fun and practice to come!!! 🙂 ❤

  1. I just got up and sat down with my morning coffee and read this. You are so funny!!!! I LOVE the way you write. I’m still smiling about it as I’m writing this comment. 🙂 Aside from my laughter, the image is beautiful amy. The light is fantastic!

    1. Tee hee ….. If I cannot make fun of myself and have a good laugh on me, what’s the point? You have no idea how hard it was to get off that couch, but now? I am SO glad I did!! The light that I saw while on the couch was magical and called to me, and as it did, I sighed loudly … REALLY today? But following through, I got a shot that had me whooping! I’m glad to know I made you laugh, Laura. In return I am laughing right now as I type these words. LOL Thank YOU!!! ❤

    1. Yoga I really highly recommend, Charlie. It was just that whoever put this class together, did so in a way that in my opinion, was not appropriate. Even the instructor was struggling. Too many poses within too little time making for the entire class to be frustrating and just too darn hard. Some Yogas are more aggressive then others. Please do your research before you begin so you do the right Yoga for you, or if not, you will just be discouraged and quit. I will not be returning to this class again until the class protocol is changed, which they do every couple of weeks. Good luck!!! ❤

    1. I can feel your enthusiasm all the way over here, Kathy!! YES!! This is how I felt too and still feel about what I captured. Just imagine what I can do, my friend, with this new camera! I am covered in goosebumps just thinking about it. Thrilled is putting it mildly how I feel. The Journey has begun …. I have a few other shots from that same evening that are pretty impressive. I’ll see if I can get them posted. I don’t like saying that because I have pics from a park in mind and pics from a storm in mind and then the pics I shot with my macro lens. *sigh* IF I only had my photography I would be posting 3-4 times a day or putting together multiple pic posts. Just know I always do my best to get to Petals those pics that I think are the best. Right now there are just so many. LOL (((HUGS))) ❤

      1. Glad you can feel my enthusiasm, Amy. Loving this Journey you are taking. and you have gotten me more motivated. Finished putting 3 collages of the red peppers and make a post soon. Also got a close-up of a morning dove sitting near our house. Having too many pics is a good thing. Love you ❤

    1. Thank you, Irene. For now I am just spending time with my fur kids as they gradually come back to normal after all they have been through. I will be posting again their preciousness when the time is right, so just bear with me as my family heals. 🙂 ❤

    1. But of course it is!! From here on out all my photography will be taken with my 6D. My other camera is fizzing. And besides you know what a kid is like with a new toy? That’s me! LOL

      1. I had mentioned in a previous post that from here on out the pics will be from my 6D. I’m glad we had this conversation because I’ll state on each post from now on that these images are taken with my 6D until everyone gets used to it. Thank you so much!!! ❤

    1. The fierce determination I had to summon up in order to get off that couch …. YES oh YES was so worth it. What Mother is showing me is literally taking my breath away. I have some more flowers coming tomorrow from the same evening. You won’t be able to comment. Honey, I am so far behind from this post I just am not able to open comments. Please just enjoy from me to you!! ❤

    1. Thank you, Karen, so much!!! Yes the Light was phenomenal that evening. That is what got me off that couch when my body was just so so sore. I LOVE this camera but am going slow. I seem to be digesting what I am getting, allowing my camera to sit for a little while, and then pick it up again. And there is a “follow my Heart” thing with me that I don’t know how to explain. I just pick my camera up when I feel the urge. 🙂 ❤

      1. The ‘follow my heart’ thing is because of what you have been through, you are ‘opening’ within, and are beginning to ‘hear’ your higher self Amy 🙂 (as you go through tough times in your life, you effectively release fears and begin to truly love yourself…that is the ‘opening’ 🙂 )
It is usually just a ‘knowing’ of something that comes through, and as you adjust to it, you will gradually feel it ‘all’ the time, it becomes who you really are.
Enjoy the journey…oh, and the camera…sounds like it is now a big part of your path 🙂

      2. My Journey of following my Heart began after my severe back injury as doctors and surgeons alike wanted more of a piece of me. Instead of listening to them, I decided to come back to health in my own way and 23 years later, I’m still doing it. Now it has come second nature to me as I blindly follow the “urgings” from within, and trust them. I have a general idea of where I am headed, but the details and the wheres and hows, no idea. I call it flying by the seat of my pants. Now I know no other way to live. Some of who are in my Life get so frustrated with me because I live the way I do, for they themselves must have a structure to live by. Don’t get me wrong, I do have structure especially when it comes to the care of both myself and my cats. The Journey however, flows. I had a conversation recently with someone who said it must be “scary” to know the future by “reading signs”, totally misunderstanding the concept of living by Heart. I explained as best as I could, no it is not scary and also, I do not know the future … Just following the signs is all. You I know understand from whence I come from and it is nice to have someone to understand.
Hope you have a good weekend, Mark. Much Love to you, ❤

  4. A very beautiful energy Amy…oh, and the shot is great too…lol 😀
    Sorry, just kidding 🙂
It is your energy I was referring to, the drained body after much toil, fountain’ing into this sublime pinnacle at your discovery 🙂
    Loved it 🙂

    1. Awww, thank you, Mark! I so appreciate your comments and every time I see your gravatar I smile. Funny you said the word “pinnacle” because I actually had that word in the post but I changed it to mountain. Hmmmm …. 🙂 Bless you!!! ❤

    1. Honestly, Dan, I just follow my nose so to speak and when I “see” it I know it. Thank you for your compliment. I still “see” room for improvement …. Yeah, I know the never ending perfectionist. But, the composition of this is truly spectacular! Have a great evening! ❤

  5. Hope you are feeling less pain and will be back in the pink again, dear Amy!
Last week, I literally worked in hot warehouse for over 50 hours. I am dragging this week which may end up 45 hours. . .
We both need a sauna and spa treatment but who will pay for this extravagance? 🙂 Hugs, more hugs xo ❤
