    1. Thank you, Sriram. As each new day presents itself, I see “normal” returning to our home. I still have issues to address, always do, but I think the “crises” are coming to an end. Take care, dear friend, and have a good day!!! ❤

    1. You know how I feel about my babies, Susan. I so agree with you that those people who don’t see animals through eyes like ours, loose out. I have neighbors who are blind, and in fact, we take care of the barn cats next door to us as best as we can. I just finished giving parasite medication to all three of those barn cats, but only after the owner laughed at me when I expressed my concerns about her cats. I was told no way was she going to bring a cat in to a Vet because of diarrhea. That cat with the diarrhea was dying from a tapeworm. No cat on my watch will suffer and so I step in! Much Love to you Susie-Q! ❤

  1. It is wonderful how the camera has become a part of the healing for you and your beautiful kitty. He was distracted by it and that can’t hurt. Mourning is felt by all beings! You are still in my prayers!

    1. Thank you, Carol. We all are really coming along. Today marks the 4th week since Karma left us and with that milestone I can see how those around me are calming down. We really are getting back into our “normal” routine, which is a good thing!! The forests I have been hiking in have truly ministered to my Heart bringing it Peace and Centerness. The color green is so healing!!! Much Love, dear friend!!! ❤

    1. Aww, Brenda, you are the first to say this! He is. His face is just so perfect and being born wild, it took a lot of years working with him to get him to trust me. Now he has become gentle and it really shows on his face. It’s so hard to see him suffer. I examine every means possible to help him. He is slowly getting back to even ground. Thank goodness!!! ❤

      1. No doubt that he’s receiving the best care possible. 🙂 He has a very gentle look to him. The kind of cat that you want to cuddle so his name is perfect. 🙂 I’m happy to hear that he’s doing better. 🙂

      2. Thank you again, Brenda. It’s so frustrating because animal medicine has yet to come up with a “safe” medication that addresses inflammation/spasms in a cat with CKD. If I told you what our vet prescribed you wouldn’t believe me. I refuse to use it. How sad that medicine uses medications inappropriately that they were never in the first place, intended to be used for. IMO that is dangerous. So I continue looking at other sources. VERY challenging!!!!

      3. I’m always very careful when it comes to prescriptions. If I owned a pet, I’d be like you, so very careful about what has been prescribed. Cuddles is very fortunate to have you looking out for him, Amy. 🙂

      4. Thank you, Brenda. It is shocking what medicine will put into both an animal and a human. I’m an RN and I will not practice anymore. I will not stand behind medicine anymore. I no longer believe in much of what is done. And don’t even get me going on how one is treated as a patient. Your daughter is lucky to have you!! We all have a right to question and to say no.

      5. My sister is an RN too. 🙂 And you’re so right in that we have every right to question what medicines we’re given and our health care in general. I tend to avoid medications when I can. I prefer to let my immune system do its job whenever possible. So far it’s done a very good job. 🙂

    1. Yes in this instance normal is good. 🙂 I am so relieved things are settling down. Lots of quiet time lately as these cats catch up on some well needed healing sleep. WE’ve all been through so much here. ❤

    1. Cuddles is beautiful, Marissa, both inside and out. For years I could barely handle him because he would lash out at me with his claws and bite me. He was wild born and so fearful of being touched. Yet, HE came to us and we rescued him. I have some permanent scars from this cat! With a lot of patience and a lot of Love over the years, today he has become so gentle and trusts me explicitly. THAT humbles me greatly knowing how afraid he had been of the human touch. And yes it is difficult for him …. I detest this disease and the many ways it makes cats suffer! I do my best to help these guys! ❤

  2. I agree that Cuddles is both beautiful inside and out. Glad that things are stabilizing. Animals are like family. Can’t wait till we can get a dog and cat. Sending Hugs to you and Cuddles and the rest of your family ❤

      1. Highly recommend a pet, Kath. They give SO much Love. Crossing fingers you get your own home soon. Yet, cherish being in a rented place. NO maintenance and when you have your own home, it never stops. LOL

    1. I wouldn’t suggest to anyone to do what I do. It is just too difficult. Yet the rewards are so high and I am humbled by how these precious cats have learned to trust me. Not only my indoor cats but the barn cats as well. Much Love, ❤

    1. Cuddles is so gentle now and very sweet. His beauty stuns me and in fact when he was younger, I used to say a female cat with his face would be extremely gorgeous. Well, I now have one, her name being Meaghan. I am just now after years of her living in this house, gaining her trust. She chose to come into this house. I will never forget that day. I had rescued her from the barn scooping her up bringing her indoors to our home. One day I opened the back door and out like a flash she flew. I being in my pjs ran after her but there was no chance I could even get close to her. I stood there heart broken, sure that I had lost her for good. A few moments later, she returned with a bird in her mouth, killed yes, and laid it down at the foot of the stairs standing just looking at me. I honestly didn’t know what to do. I carefully, oh ever so carefully stepped through the door, approached Meaghan, and when she still did not run, scooped her up and brought her inside. She wanted to give me a thank you gift for bringing her indoors. Is that not the sweetest story? I just will never forget that day. 🙂 ❤

    1. Oh no! I wish you hadn’t told me that about chickens because now I will have trouble eating chicken. Animals ALL animals have emotions. It burns me to see people treating animals without thought, or treating them like things. They have no clue, Julie. Cats for one, are some of the most sensitive animals as are horses. Their emotions run deep yet I am learning from them, they grieve only briefly and they do a lot of healing in sleep. I also believe the way some of my cats looks they “see” those who have passed. I have stories that most people would not believe. I’m so glad you understand, my dear friend. (((HUGS))) back!!!! ❤

    1. Thank you, Raewyn, for saying how beautiful my Cuddles is. I agree totally and the expression I caught on his face is just so precious. I can attest cats do grieve when they loose a sibling. Some of our babies are still taking the losses so hard. Others are OK, thank goodness!! ❤

    1. We all are getting there, Dan. It’s been 4 weeks today we lost Karma and the difference from that time to today there is improvement. I am confident with my care, hubby’s brain for research, and our combined Love, Cuddles will pull out of this flair up. Time does heal, it really does. Thank God! ❤

    1. You don’t know how many times I’ve said I wish I could speak cat, really KNOW what is happening. I have to depend on their body language, what they are doing, how they are acting to decipher what is going on. It is so hard sometimes, YellowCable, yet what I have learned up to this time is amazing. I have confidence Cuddles will feel better soon. He is improving slowly. 🙂 ❤

  3. Oh, sweet Amy, it’s so saddening to read about one more of your family being so ill. It seems like the ones we love are fleeting in life, but Cuddles still has life. The suffering is something no human will ever understand. Our fur families communicate as well as they can, and you have such a close attachment that you can more readily understand your rescue family, but still it hurts that they can’t Speak in a way we easily hear.

I’m not saying this correctly tonight. Tired, I guess. But I am still praying for you and all of your family and rescue family. I think that is what I am trying to say. I love you Sweet Amy, and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Still not expressing what I really want to say, so I hope you can still read between my lines. Right now I’m just going to crash, then begin again tomorrow morning. Sleep well Sweetie. Angie

    1. You said it perfectly, Angie. Just perfectly. I hear you loud and clear and I thank you for your kindness and your caring Heart. Cuddles is much much better because I am again giving him a supplement I had stopped giving him. I had not realized how much it was helping him. Now I will not stop again, believe me. And he is getting back to normal as is all in this house!! Yes we miss Karma, but our lives are evening out, thank God!!! Much Love to you! ❤

      1. I’m so happy to hear things are slowly getting better for you, Sweet Amy. And happier still to hear the supplement is working for Cuddles. Too many people think our fur friends don’t know to mourn the loss of the ones they lived and played with, but I know they do miss the ones who have passed on/ They just don’t speak our language and we don’t always understand them, so it makes it so much harder on our sweet fur friends
Love to you and the rest of your family ❤ ❤ <3,

  4. Yes, Amy, they grieve. My brother Pumba, who lives with my mother, was grieving and searching for sister Feline, who we lost in January. He was given a homeopathic remedy to help him get through it and to accept the loss He is fine now 🙂
Cuddles is beautiful and we look a little bit alike, don’t you think 😀 Will send Healing Pawkisses to feel better soon 🙂 ❤

    1. Yes you do look a little alike, I must agree. I too know of a HOmeoapthic remedy and yes it has been given with great results. We finally are getting close to normal here after about one month later. Pawkisses back to you. I am truly sorry for your loss. It is so hard, we know!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

  5. A shot with such empathy ~ the poor thing, but my heart also is warmed knowing that he is getting loving that makes life so beautiful and worthwhile. Wonderful view into the emotional world of our feline friends.

    1. Randall, I could write books about what I have learned from and about animals, especially cats. Their emotions run deep and their loyalties just as deep. Personalities galore! Cuddles is now improving and is just about back to his usual self. This home overall is getting back to normal routine thank goodness after so many losses. Bless you for this truly Loving comment. ❤
