Appreciation

    1. Aww, Mark, thank you! I have been resting and hiking and trying to fit the pieces of my Life back together again. It really has been a tough time for me, and in the stopping, I realized how exhausted I really was. Flying on addrenalin month after month finds a body not willing to come down easily. I’m getting there. My forest is really assisting me greatly in releasing the “stress” and wearing me out so that I do come down from off the addrenalin high. Bless you for caring!!! ❤

    1. Thank you, Carol!!! I just checked my tracking info and it says my camera will be here on Friday. I was hoping before then, BUT, it is what it is. LOL And about this Rose, you described it perfectly!!! Bless you for seeing the reflection of me in it. 🙂 ❤

    1. I worked on that image to get the lighting just right, believe me. It’s in a place in my garden that has little contrast so when I saw this, I kept it. I delete a lot as I go. 🙂 LOL I know it when I see it, sort of thing. When I hesitate, I keep it. Better safe then sorry. My camera should be here on Friday!! Oh I need to be patient!!! 🙂 ❤

      1. We are still home. We’ll be leaving in an hour or so. Takes 5-1/2 hours to get there by car. My feet are better! I saw the chiro and am doing deep calf stretches. Thanks for asking!

      2. Oh man I’d be done in for just from the ride itself. Holy macro! I’m so glad your feet are better, Laura, and I hope as of this writing you are clicking away finding magic!!! The forests hold so much magic, so much beauty, mystical, spiritual, …. I am definitely in LOVE. Can you tell? LOL ❤

      3. Thanks Amy. 🙂 I’m a bit burned out on taking pictures though. I feel very ho hum and think I’m enjoying this break. I did mostly iPhone photos because I wanted to enjoy the hikes without all the picture taking. I did use my iPhone though!

      4. I’m not, Laura, and it feels so darn good. Blogging has become a bit too much at times as I would rather be involved in real Life then on the computer. All things in moderation …. We all have to learn that. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Marissa!! My new passion is landscape photography so get ready to see many miles I either hike or walk. I must get to the lake shore as well to get a sunset in. So much I want to do. And yes I am SO excited!! ❤

    1. I am keeping busy to pass the time, Irene. Seriously, I’ve been doing a lot of hiking, and I have discovered my main passion has switched from macro photography to landscape photography. I have been taking picture after picture with my cellphone just not able to get enough of all I am seeing. I am making plans to keep on hiking, walking and bring along my new Canon when I get it. Oh for the JOY!!! ❤

      1. I think I am still on the forest high from yesterday, Irene. The forest is weaving a magic spell on me. I am humbled, and I am so so grateful. My Heart is coming Home to Peace. ❤

    1. PS It also doesn’t help matters when I am getting back to back perfect light days for shooting conditions. Sigh. It’s been SO sunny here and now cloud cover. For crying out loud! Really??? LOL

    1. I agree, Kathy! Yes, I really do deserve a medal, don’t I? My husband can drive me berserk at times and this is one of them. And it doesn’t help matters that the cloud cover I have been waiting for all summer is now here. So what do I do? I’m snapping picture after picture with my cellphone as I am hiking and sending them to my sister who is in awe of what I am seeing. I’ve fallen in LOVE. My new passion is landscape photography. OH I cannot wait to see what this camera can do!! Oh yeah, baby!!! 🙂 ❤

      1. Yes, you do deserve a medal!!! I know what you mean about cloud cover. I hope you get some cloud cover good when your new camera arrives. Been taking lots of pics of the pepper plants and saw what a difference cloud cover can make. Going to put some collages together of the peppers from Spring till Now 🙂 Going to do a blog post on it when it’s complete. Hugs ❤

      2. HUGE difference when it comes to cloud cover, Kathy. Sun is not my friend when I take photos. And good for you for putting another post together. Can’t wait to see it! 🙂

      3. It sure does. On my camera when you look through the back and the sun is bright you can’t see anything. Only 2 more days and your camera will be here. So happy for you ❤

    1. All my photography you have seen, except those from my cellphone and one post with hubby’s camera, are from my Canon 50D. I worked hard with that camera and SO look forward to have the 6D in my hands. Thank you so much for your compliment, YellowCable!! This Rose was not easy to capture because where she is the contrast is not good. When I saw this, I was elated. 🙂 ❤

    1. Eliza, I’ve waited years for this dream to come true. Don’t give up on your dreams. Of course the fact that my present camera is slowly fading out, helped push the cause in my favor. (smile) Tomorrow is the big day for me. I actually read 23 pages out of 400 of the PDF manual for this new camera. *sigh* I just need the camera in my hands to understand. At least I tried. 🙂 ❤

  1. Wonderful shot with your 50D, with you the camera certainly does not matter ~ and your words just as glorious as your shot “…there are times in Life, sadness and tears, bring deep rooted, appreciation”
