If change is what you want
in this world
change must first begin
with you.
This includes to choose
to end
the blame game
and change only what you can —
yourself.

This really works. I’ve seen it. Instead of focusing on the “other” person wanting that person to change (not going to happen) by focusing on ourselves and change how we react, or what we do or not do, what we say, our body language …. things do change. I am not able to explain it, but it really happens. Hope you have a great day today, dear friend! ❤

This is always a fantastic reminder and I want to tell people at my warehouse job to please stop the SAME complaints. Change is only possible if it begins within yourself. Perfect post, my dear Amy. I tried to comment on purple Crocuses and say they brought me Joy and your message helped my renewal. Hugs, Robin ❤

I don’t understand why you couldn’t comment on that post. Unless the way I have it set up comments are closed. I’ll check. Thanks for pointing that out, Robin.
And yes lasting change only happens when we ourselves change. Otherwise you just “loop” going round and round in the same circle. Much Love to you, Amy ❤

No problem, Amy. Comments are allowed to close. I like sending people off to old posts and like having them comment on them. I don’t get as many as you or maybe I would “shut the door gently on them!” Lol (hugs)

Thank you, Kathy. I seem to be on a marathon of changes, back to back. Even in trying to slow down the process itself is jet speed. Hope you and Craig are doing well and will have a wonderful weekend. I wish it would warm up so I can start in my gardens. I think this is the latest I have ever waited. Other years I froze, despite the weather opening my gardens. Not doing that to myself this year. Nope. Perhaps with age I am getting wiser. 😉 ❤

You sure are, Amy as far as many changes. Yes, Craig and I are doing well but really sore. The weather has been crazy this April. A few flurries in the air now.Glad you are taking care! Love you ❤

PS Kath, you need 2 cups Epson salts when you take your bath in order for it to be therapeutic and you have to soak at least 20-30 minutes for this to be beneficial. I so encourage you to do it. You won’t be sorry. Craig too! 🙂

I have heard that it works well and thanks for the advice. I take showers since it’s hard with my back to get out of the tub. I think the soreness is because as we get in align with our bodies the muscles are protesting some. Our chiropractor has already discovered something that the Dr has missed. He discovered the other day that I have a hiatal hernia and is going to be working on that. He sure is great!

OH, Kathy! Sounds to me like you really have a smart and compassionate Chiropractor! I am SO happy for you. And yes soreness is expected but, in order for those muscles to keep working right you must exericise to strengthen them. I walked 11 miles this week, 5.5 Weds. and 5.5 Thurs. Talk about sore! BUT today I was told at my appt. that my legs are finally even. That hasn’t been true in more years then I would like to think about! OH FOR THE JOY! This is why I am hurting but now that I know there is progress there is no stopping me! Yes there is “fear” involved thinking “am I hurting myself by doing this?” when I am power walking. I have to overcome that fear and forge ahead. I’ve been teaching myself to walk by coming down with the same weight on each heel, something I was not doing. You will figure out what is best for you. If you are that sore to not be able to get in a tub, don’t. Aveda makes a product called Active Compostion which is a lineament. It works!!! Another really good product is Tiger Balm. Get the extra strong. I wish you all the best and please listen to your body. If you have to slow down with the adjustments, do so. I’ve been on this journey for 22 years. And I am finally finally getting there!!! YAY! ❤ ❤ ❤

Wow 11 miles in one week. When fishing season is here we walk a couple of miles when we go out which is a couple of times a week.. Yes, he is a great chiropractor and we are both pleased. I also have one leg longer then the other. First visit the one leg was 2 inches shorter. Last visit was 1/8 inch. I will try that with the heel toe. When we grocery shop we get quite a bit of walking in also. Good to hear on Aveda and will write that down. After research a couple of months ago we discovered DMSO as a roll on that our local health store caries. That has really helped. It’s also a lineament. i will listen to my body and get my energy back. Maybe we are still recovering from the move. In a couple of weeks it will be a year. So happy that you are getting there. Hugs ❤

With a leg that much shorter, Kathy, no wonder you are so sore. I am too believe me. Tired today as well and I have just so much in this house to do and then get to opening my gardens starting next week. I have to look at one thing at a time …. I’m glad you are listening to your body. And yes a move as you did will take a while for you to feel better. I think it is so cool the both of us are doing this together. A smile just broke across my face. As for my walks, they consist of 5.5 miles of rugged hills which I have gotten accustomed to. And when I start on the trails it is going to be getting rugged. Hang in there, dear friend. You’ll make it!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Amen! And that’s the important component that keeps people from even trying to make a difference. They become overwhelmed by how much there is to do and just give up thinking that their impact won’t make a difference. We have to take care of only what we are able to do knowing that we at least made a difference therein. And if everyone did their part all over the conglomerate difference would be even more awesome. Great post my dear!!! 🙂 ❤

Exactly, Natalie. I have another post coming that says for one thing, excuses destroy your destiny. Change is scary. I admit it. But we cannot look at the big picture for that in of itself will get us so discouraged we will give up. There are times I don’t know where to start as my heart is in my throat. Then I just start with ONE and work steadily to the next. I have walked for years with faith that LOVE will conquer all, yet in those years I have seen very little evidence of that. Yes discouraged so many times, but I just won’t give up and I won’t let go that somehow I am making a difference. And so, my friend, are you! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

Good for you Amy. Don’t give up. We may never know who and how much of an impact we have on others. And like a pebble tossed in a pond the ripples just keep reaching outward and outward often beyond what we can see or realize. So keep walking by faith! It is what we are asked to do so I just keep on keepin’ on as they say. Some time back, I took the pressure off myself when I realized that all we are is seed planters. It’s up to the Lord to bring them to fruition and it’s always in His time not ours. So I just keep on sowing my seeds and leave the rest the One who knows so much more than I and has so much more power than I. 🙂 ❤

That’s how I see things too, Natalie. I’m just the “messenger” and the seed bearer, and that is all. The rest is up to God and the individual. When you take your hands off it is so freeing!!! Have a glorious weekend, dear friend. ❤

Here’s the starfish story, Amy.
While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it into the ocean.
As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water.
He came closer still and called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”
The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”
The old man smiled, and said, “I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”
To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”
Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, “But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”
The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it into the back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, “It made a difference for that one.”
