The Journey

    1. Thank you, Andy!! Sometimes it is hard to know what is the right thing to do. My body at times gives me conflicting signals and that is when I must walk in faith or follow through with an action from the past that has worked before. This Healing Journey is very challenging but so worth my every effort!! ❤

      1. Hahaha. Stubborn. Determined. Tomato/potato. “No. You’re not going to hurt me and if you insist on hurting me then I will just beat you up back!!! Chiro.pract.or.” Lol. Love you. 🌹😘

  1. What you have written here is a lesson that God and spirit have been trying to teach me for a long time. Finally, I am getting it. You have, once again, offered confirmation! You are truly wonderful, dearheart! Rock on!

    1. Carol, your feedback is precious!! You so encourage me because last night I was not sure which post to publish today that I have in my drafts. I was guided to publish this one AND to write what I did. Originally it had only the small saying and photograph. Last night I wrote what you see. I am so happy this post helped confirm something for you. God is good, dear friend, and He truly works wonders. 🙂 ❤

  2. wonderful as usual, although I am sorry to hear that you are suffering such chronic pain. 😦 working in a physical therapy office has given me a deal of insight, but only WE know our bodies and what they tell us. I Pray Blessings of Healing and Strength without pain rain down upon you in Showers as Gentle as mist, and as lasting as the eternal tide 😉

    1. Thank you, Morgirl. I thought you knew I had a severe back injury over 20 years ago. My body does tell me believe me, but sometimes it is not easy to understand. *sigh* Very challenging! (smile) But I’m doing it!!! ❤

      1. In my advancing years, Im sure I knew, but had thoroughly forgotten 😉 I work with people everyday who suffer from chronic pain, so I do understand the challenges of keeping a positive mindset and continuing to do what the body needs, regardless of the pain. I am sorry you suffer this particular challenge, but know your Spirit will Prevail 🙂

      2. LOL In your advancing years? Um, if you are getting “old” where does that exactly leave me? Tee hee ….. Morgirl, when you get to be my age you will understand “old”. LOL Thank you for the laugh. It was needed today!!!! 🙂

      1. Have you tried energy work as part of your healing journey? It’s typically much gentler on your physical body, and also works on the mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. 💜

      2. I am working with a Chiropractor and a MT right now. My hubby also does acupuncture on me when my hips get blocked. So yes I am at this moment working with energy Healers. If you are talking Reiki, I’ve tried it and it does not seem to fit me right. I’ve tried just about everything, Ashley, over the last 22 years. 🙂 ❤

      3. I understand that. Even though I believe all energy work is the same in the sense that it comes from the same source, I also know that the right modality & the right practitioner at the right time can make all the difference! Continued best wishes on your healing journey! ❤

  3. First of all, lovely picture. Love how you showed the lacy-ness of the flower. Sorry you are in pain. I suffered with fibromyalgia for years but it’s finally more or less in remission so I know how it is. I remember deep tissue massage was also not recommended for my state back then but really, who would have thought it? It seems like a logical cure. Anyway, good luck on your journey. I don’t know what kind of pain you are experiencing, but I found pilates very helpful.

    1. I have fibromyalgia as well, Marissa, and mine is in remission too. I’ve never had a problem with deep tissue massage before. The combination of Chiropractic adjustments with the massage for me right now is just too much for my body to handle, so I just go slower, that’s all. I find Yoga helpful and need to do it more often then I do. Throughout the day I stretch when I feel myself stiffen. Thank you for the well wishes!!! ❤

      1. Yes, yoga is not that different from Pilates so I imagine it would help as well. I’m glad your fibromyalgia is in remission but sorry to hear you’re still dealing with pain.

      2. Marissa, it will be a miracle if my pain is completely gone. My spine and back are so bad that doctors do not understand how I am still walking. Yes, true. I was told in 2004 that if I did not have more surgery to have a titanium cage put into my back, I would be paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Funny, neither have happened. And if I have anything to say about it, they won’t. 🙂 ❤

    1. You could say that Susan. Mirrors in many ways. And as we both go deeper and deeper within we release long held emotions and experiences that have lodged in our bodies. I pray for you daily. You have a little something in the mail that is coming. 🙂 Miracles happen. Hubby said OK. GRIN! God works in mysterious ways, dear friend!! ❤ ❤ ❤

      2. Alifya, I found all 4 comments. Since they are all basically the same, I will just respond to this one. I am so sorry you are having trouble with WP. So am I. I almost quit today, dear friend, from sheer frustration. But I will not allow WP to defeat me nor take something from me that I consider precious and sacred …. Petals. So all is good! I found you and I have set you free!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

    1. Thank you, Chris. It gets very challenging to always be responsible for myself and it is “tempting” to allow a “professional” to take over the reigns. Every time I do though, I get burned. I’ve learned to listen to this body and at times that can be downright confusing. It’s a journey. 🙂

  5. What a beautiful flower and timely post. Sorry to hear about your pain and agree about listening to your body. We found a chiropractor and healer about 2 weeks ago. He is wonderful and sure glad that we found him. Agree about some muscles overused and some underused. Both Craig and I are so sore but we are getting there. Gentle Hugs, Amy ❤

    1. Oh, Kathy, I am SO happy for you and Craig that you found a good Chiropractor. Even they have the pros and cons so for you to find a good one, is great news!!! You keep up the healing as well, and sometimes as I know, it is not easy. Easy does it, which I am learning. I just want so badly to get to the goal, but my body is squawking, so it wins. Yep, easy does it. 🙂 Big (((HUGS))) ❤

      1. Thanks so much, Amy. Yes, easy does it is good advice. He uses kinesiology (sp?) which is very interesting. Yes, he is very knowledgeable and know what he is doing!!!!! Yeah ❤

  6. I think you chose the right path, Amy. To listen to your body, that thing that houses you. I know, I’m sure you will be ok, because I know how determined you are. And I am with you in your journey my dear friend ❤

    1. Thank you, Dan. I will do my best, you have my word. The main reason why I wrote what I did that yes it is very difficult to listen to ourselves when all we want is to rely solely on a professional, taking all responsibility from ourselves. I’ve taken responsibility for myself and hence not too popular with medicine and if I can trip up and let go of listening to myself, anyone can. I cannot stress strongly enough that ALL of us must listen to our bodies, or learn how, because no one knows our bodies better then we do. This is not easy, downright scary at times, and many times we are questioning if we made the right decisions. When the day came that allowed people to think that physicians have the sole right to their health, that was a very dark day. We alone are responsible for our health. When in a crisis, I pray that everyone comes across knowledgable and compassionate doctors. That is for another post … ❤

      1. It’s hard to keep up with all the information, not to mention the mis-information that we need to know, Amy. In addition to that, insurance is getting pickier and pickier about what they will pay for. I use a topical pain cream that my insurance will pay for “if prescribed for lower body application” Unfortunately, I need it for my shoulder. What would be $6 costs me $64.

      2. I understand how complicated medicine has gotten and how crazy insurance has as well. How crazy about what the insurance will pay. Pain is pain for crying out loud!! What difference does it make if it is for lower body or shoulder? No sense to that at all. Really!

  7. A beautiful post as always Amy 😊 I agree with you about listening to what your body is telling you. Slow and steady wins the race. I’m hoping you’ll keep us updated on your progress. Take care and have a beautiful evening 😊

  9. Beautiful post, dear Amy. It is very important to listen to your body to avoid more chronic pain. I know this by experience too.
It can feel tempting to force our development, but we still need to be able to follow too.
Send you healing and my love ❤ Irene

    1. Thank you, dear friend. You should “feel” the blockage gone and since I feel that rise of of stress again today, I go for my walk. This healing journey is not easy stuff. I do believe you understand!!!! ❤

  10. I’m sorry to hear that you are suffering with back pain. I have the same problem and I find that taking a drug we call Tramadol gives me huge relief without too many side effects except for sleep that is deeper and dreams that are a lot more vivid. On the whole though, I have nothing but praise for this pretty well standard drug over here in England.

    1. And I am sorry to hear you are a sufferer of back pain as well, John. I take combinations of herbs and medication to help with the pain that really does help. I’ve tried Tramadol and actually did not like it. Each body is unique. 🙂 ❤

    1. I will, Sue, I will! Not easy at times especially when in crisis or in conflict. As I told my sis just today what usually happens when I am seeking a change to give my body to utilize for balance, I’m given 2 changes and I do not ever know which one is the actual change that I needed. Hehehehehe Yep, true. This Journey has been something …. I started in October of 1994. Yes I am finally at the core ….. Oh for the JOY! 😉 (tongue in cheek) 🙂 ❤

    1. Thank you, Holly. I’ve been off of WP since last Tuesday and in that time, contemplating on not returning. I just have SO MUCH going on in my life right now. Yet, this is the funny part. Even though I was not blogging I kept getting comments, and more new followers then I have had in a very long time, and links. Sign after sign that I really am making a difference. I just have to put in my mind that this phase of my Life is not forever. As for the healing part of my Life, I am getting there. The right tools and the right people have come into my Life. I plan on returning to WP officially on Tuesday. 🙂 ❤
