  1. Powerful! I struggle so much with vulnerability… I love & embrace the concept that somehow, some way vulnerability can sketch my greatest strengths. And so it is! 💜

    1. Ashley, we all struggle with vulnerability. Let’s face it. We open ourselves to be hurt, to be really seen for who we are, and that is scary. There are those people who no matter what you say or do, they out of their own pain and emptiness, continually lash out. What to do? How to maintain vulnerability but yet shield to block off the hurt that is being projected? How do we stay open in these kind of situations? To NOT feel is to not be connected. It’s so not easy to figure this out, Ashley. Then there comes into play the issue of boundaries. When someone continually steps over your boundaries, and refuses to hear your “voice”, how to you handle that? I’ve been really thinking upon this (reading “Daring Greatly”) and in doing so, Brene has got me chewing, and digging deep. How best to act so as to maintain MY integrity yet doing so without hurting another. Is that possible? LOTS of questions ….. Whew! 🙂 ❤

  2. Haven’t seen sky images from you before. My first thought was, “Oh no! She fell off her ladder into the mud and this is the only thing she can see from flat on her back.” Upon reflection, that doesn’t seem very likely. Beautiful sky, Amy.

    1. Ha HA! I actually shot these images as I was driving, on my way to Chestnut Ridge Park. One was actually shot through the windshield. I was stopped at a long red light, and I could not believe what I was seeing in the sky. I HAD to snap with my phone and so I did. LOL Mud …. Not yet, Scott. Perhaps soon. 😉 ❤

  3. Oh wow, this is so great Amy! I especially love the one without the trees. Seeing the sky out of context you could almost wonder whether it’s the sky or some abstract design….that you would probably want on your curtains…or a pair of pants!!

    1. It looks like an abstract painting, doesn’t it, Marissa? I could NOT believe my eyes as I sat at that red light. I’m SO glad I decided to capture these clouds with my phone. Amazing!!!! I took these pictures through the windshield!! 🙂 ❤

    1. Why thank you, Ms. Laura. These were taken with my phone through my windshield, believe it or not. Sitting at a long red light I could not believe what I was seeing in the skies so I had to capture what I saw. I agree. They are gorgeous and just so powerful!!! 🙂 ❤

    1. Hi, Susan. Yes, I bit behind here. 🙂 I tend to do this with my posts sometimes and I don’t know how I do it. Hope you are well and I hope your mail came. Love you, dear friend! ❤

    1. GRINNING!!!! This sky was taken at a long red light in Orchard Park, NY. I could not believe my eyes, Alexander. I didn’t know if I could capture as I saw them because I not only shot threw my windshield to capture them, but I used my phone camera. I was stunned by how they came out and yes they really looked like this. The entire southern portion of the sky was covered with these type of clouds. Just incredible!!! Hope you have a great weekend!!! 🙂 ❤

    1. LOL Yes thank goodness for LONG red lights. I’m always complaining about this light and how long it is. That day I was yip-yipping that I managed to arrive just as the light turned red, giving me a good 2 minutes (that is long for a red light … this corner has 5 intersecting streets) to get these images. I could not believe my eyes. Honest. I just stared in wonder and it took a lot of determination on my part to even pick up my phone because all I wanted to do was stare NOT take pictures. Anyways, I’m glad I did shoot because I was able to share this amazing experience with you. Have a great weekend, my dear friend!! ❤

    1. Audrey, I know. I really know. I really good book I highly recommend to both read and for a guide IF you are ready to live vulnerably, is “Daring Greatly” by Brene Brown. It’s intense, it is highly researched, it is really good, and the author is REAL. I hope you have a great weekend! It’s supposed to snow here. Bummer!!! 😦 ❤

      1. I chose the sunrise this morning instead, Audrey. We have a bit of snow not much but it is still snowing and lake effect snow flurries are in the forecast. 😦 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      2. LOL I’m in BIG trouble if I loose my sense of humor, Audrey. I’m laughing out loud as I write this. Good thing I did capture some Daffodils before this snow because now they are all sad, drooping and some buried. Boo-hoo! 😦

  4. Are these clouds Amy? I mean, that’s my guess, but I’ve never seen clouds this beautiful. Those are amazing photos. I don’t know how you managed to capture these, but I am impressed.

    1. Yes, Dan, these are clouds. I was sitting at a long red light when I saw them as I was driving to the park I walk in. I had to capture them because honestly what I saw I could not believe I was seeing. I took these with my Samsung phone. Pretty amazing, yes? We tend to miss out on what is going on right over our heads. I’m so glad I did not miss this!! They were magnificent!!! 🙂 ❤

  5. Love the clouds with the theme of vulnerable. The sky, so high, we can get dizzy just by looking up. Agree with you. To fight weakness we have to put ourselves out there and step up. We might get laughed at but chances are we are the ones who emerge stronger. Hugs x

    1. Mabel, your thoughts continually amaze me. I’m so glad you do understand and how tough it is to be vulnerable in this world. To find that balance is what I seek right now. We do emerge stronger for the effort we have put forth. Good for you!!! I hope your weekend is a really good one!!! ❤

      1. I’m not sure if we can find balance, but I think all of us try. Life is a series of ups and down, and the least we can do is make the most of each moment – and live in each moment. That way, we learn and move forwards. You have a good weekend too, Amy ❤

  6. I ADORE these!!
Amy these are brilliant shots 🙂
its so funny, one paints like that – and people shake their heads thinking its too abstract… and yet, clouds are abstract shapes!

    1. Aw, shucks, Debi! I LOVE abstract (some not all) as I find it touches the emotions deeply. When I draw with my dry pastels, my technique is similar to these clouds, realizing this as I was editing them. I sat back and just couldn’t believe not only what I saw in the sky but in editing these clouds realizing what I did. Tremendous all the way around. I was thrilled these images came out as good as they did. SO happy you enjoyed these! 🙂 Have a great weekend!!! ❤

    1. Thank you!!!! I really could not believe my eyes. I am SO relieved that these shots came out so good. I actually shot them through the windshield with my phone camera. Lady Luck was sitting in the passenger seat of my car that day. LOL ❤

  7. That first shot looks awesome Amy! It looks like a big ocean wave in the sky! I like your anecdote too. Our vulnerability is what makes others identify with us as human. True! Great work!

  8. Fantastic shots Amy ~ looks like waves of clouds coming in and eventually crashing down, you captured them at such a great perspective. Sitting below and watching all this take place, yes I can see where the vulnerability is born. Beautiful.

    1. Thank you, Sue. I’ve been rather tired so taking it easy today. I’ve begun a new regimen for healing of my back and I think it is a bit too much, too quickly. I’ve decided to slow things down to get my body/mind coordinated. Love to you! ❤

      1. Good for you Amy.. It is amazing how aligning of our core can bring to the surface so many other held back emotions.. I had my acupunture this morning and I found myself pouring out my heart.. She is working on my solar plexus energy right now.. 🙂

      2. I just had a conversation with my Chiropractor this morning after a tweak that I needed desperately, how every memory, every experience we have had in life is stored in our bodies somewhere. From the expression on his face he really had not thought from this perspective before but he became very contemplative and slowly shook his head, ah yes I see. I just had deep tissue massage done last week (too much too soon too fast) concentrated on my hips, buttocks and legs (all foundational issues) and believe me, my mind/body went into shock. Hence the visit to my Chiro this morning. I’m feeling so much better, thank God! People need to understand this healing work is hard and you just can’t dig in deep with issues that haven’t seen the light of day for decades. I haven’t been walking right for years and suddenly I am being given a path to get me to walk right. My body again in shock. Chiro finally got it I must go slower with this. Perhaps I am teaching him a bit. And you with your abdomen! Oh man, that is deep, Sue! Be careful and please go slow. Even these Healers have to learn our bodies are so sensitive and must be treated as such. BIG (((HUGS))) for your bravery!!!! I mean it!! ❤

      3. I know Amy. so many do not understand how we retain within the cell memory within our bodies.. Yes we are going slow.. She is a very switched on person regarding Energy, and since having her work on me for the last 7 yrs I think I have taught her one or two things too that have made her more aware of what our bodies hold within that come out as pain or illness’s too.. I love it when that happens don’t you?

I am pleased you got your Chiro to see this..
Emotionally the journey we thought was over is still buried, I am working upon it to finally release.. The session left me feeling very tired… And I had several vivid dreams the following night about my Mother She spoke to me for the first time within my dream time.. It was only one word NO.. but the dialogue has begun..

      4. I’ve got the goosebumps, Sue. Truly. I’m so glad your Healer is going slow for what I am learning, the closer we get to the deeply buried memories/emotions/issues which are the core, the slower the process must go. One really can go over the edge and dip into insanity. I’ve been there recently. Both my Chiropractor and my MT do not understand that due to the years of inner work I have done, I am now on the deep cellular healing part, and this must go slowly. The MT dug in SO deep and went hung go my very first visit instead of working up to the hung go that she put me into such a crisis I thought I was going to die. What don’t these people understand that those of us with long standing problems and who have been working on ourselves getting closer and closer to the core issues, that when this work begins it must be gentle, and in a manner that works from the surface slowly to the inner. My experience frightened me when my body went into shock. I know I need both these people in my life but now trust is an issue. I MUST get them both to understand how vital it is to go slow with me. My intuition is telling me these are the people who will help me but they do not yet understand, due to their training, the process of healing. I’m teaching them, Sue, just like you are teaching your Healer. God bless you!!!! ❤
