Precious Moment

image

There’s no place
I’d rather BE
then NOW here
with One I adore.
~~~~
This is a picture of Sassy sleeping on Karma.  It is SO precious!  Not wanting to take any chances I quietly ran on tiptoe to get my phone.  If any of you know anything about cats, you blink and they are gone.
This was a really difficult shot to get.  I was shooting into the glare of our window.  The room itself was dim and my babies were in shadow.  Not wanting to get too close and take a chance of disturbing this adorable scene, I zoomed my camera in from a “safe” distance.  On top of that, I had my camera on the wrong dimensional mode so I had to crop the original image.  There was a ton of noise (as a result of my shooting conditions and zooming in close), that I had to do my best to eliminate and still get Sassy and Karma looking clear.
In a “perfect” world I would have had time to get my Canon camera, change lenses, decide which settings to shoot at and then take the picture.  I did my best with this shot.  Regardless of which camera I shot this with, any way you view it, it is Heart touching.
Sassy is seen here sleeping and snuggling on Karma, and at the same time comforting him by giving him her body warmth.  His back legs have very bad arthritis and so any coolness will bother him.  When this was taken, the day was very chilly and even though inside, those of us who are sensitive felt the chilliness.  The Love that poured from this Moment had tears in my eyes and me sitting on the other couch just quietly watching.
Now I share this Precious Moment with you.
    1. Yes, Jodi, one cannot help feel but LOVE when this image is seen. Talk about one of those Moments when I didn’t want it to come to an end. We humans could learn a lot about LOVE from our precious animals. May Karma and Sassy be with you all day long to bring smiles and warmth to your Heart!! ❤
    1. I think it looks like a painting, Neihtn. And my babies brings such JOY to the Heart regardless of how the picture looks. 🙂 Thank you for your compliment. IMO it is my babies that made the shot beautiful. 🙂 ❤
    1. Carol, I consider myself one of the most fortunate women on the planet to have these sights and this LOVE I do each and every day. My cats really Love one another as it is plain to see here. My Heart smiles knowing that I shared this with you. My babies are special! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
    1. Life doesn’t get much better then Moments like this, Monica. I did not want this to end. It was doubly sweet for me because Karma is slowly transiting and Sassy who Loves him so much, has been so close to him, making sure he stays warm. When she does not, I put an afghan on his lower legs and under an afghan that he lays on, a heating pad set on low. He curls up in Bliss. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
      1. Mine have always been my babies too1 After we lost the last one who was 22, we decided to wait awhile to see if we wanted another one. I knew I did, but I wanted to wait a little while. But then when our daughter moved to Colorado Springs, they found out their neighborhood association limited the number of pets that could have so she asked us if we would consider taking two of theirs named Tom and Jerry. I was reluctant at first because this time I wanted a kitten as of all the cats we’ve had we only started out with two of them as kittens. But we agreed to try. Tom never did adjust so we took him up there when we went a month ago, but Jerry is still here. He is a very sweet and loving cat but he’s not a lap cat. He gets on the bed off and on during the night and he likes to nap with me when I get to take nap, but he won’t get in our laps and I miss that. So for now we’re caring for JerBear as I call him and we’ll see how it goes. I really would like to have another one that’s a kitten to start with one day though. I miss my babies that would get up in my lap or on my shoulders and hugs my neck. Love, N 🙂 ❤
      2. There is nothing better then a purring kitty in our laps. Usually what happens when I go lay down on our couch the race begins to see who can reach Mommy first to get a coveted spot on her legs, tummy, and chest. Oh yes! Sometimes I must go take a breather on my bed with the door closed just to get some quiet time. Hehehehehe Yup, I’m loved!!! As for Tom not adjusting, some cats are so attached to their humans they just cannot adjust. These animals have deep emotions, much more so then most people give them credit for having. I’ve only had one who sat on my shoulder. She is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge …. my Alpha, the cat I basically did everything wrong with. OH did she teach me what NOT to do. Poor baby!!! ❤
      3. I’ll bet she loved you anyway! Cats are pretty forgiving. We had a cat once who showed up on our doorstep right before Christmas! We tried to find his owner to no avail so we took him in. Not only would Mr. Bingly sit on my shoulder sometimes but if I was crying he would get up and rub on my face like he was trying to hug and console me. So yes they do have deep emotions! ❤️
      4. When my Dad was alive he kept saying I must write a book for all I have learned about cats. I just might do that. Before I came into this family of cats I had NO clue the extent of who they are as I do today and I still am trying to figure things out. One of my favorite prayers is asking God to understand “cat” so I can better know what is going on to help my babies. Their language is intriguing and very subtle and many times it involves energy transference. Yes my first baby Loved me, Natalie, and in looking back I now know how brave she was for “volunteering” to be my teacher on what not to do. I swear she came back and is now one of my cats (Karma) …. LONG story, but the gist of it is when I went to adopt a kitten, this tiny ball of orange and white immediately, upon smelling me, went crazy, crying crying crying, frantically clawing at the cage in order for me to pick him up. And when I did, he snuggled in tight and hung on. It’s as if he (she) knew me. Never have I seen anything like it since. (Smile) Amazing!! ❤
  3. Amy, you are their protective and caring Mommy who shows them love. They are so special and precious in their curled up together! Like 2 peas in a pod, almost literally, in the cushion bed. ❤ ❤
    1. My babies are precious, Robin. There is more to the story about this picture (isn’t there usually?) but I chose to keep it as is. These cats have truly taught me what Love is. I am so happy you saw this. I bet you automatically smiled. 🙂 ❤
      1. I hope you are feeling taken care of by your husband. Having been through 3 marriages, I sometimes read between the lines. Sending hugs and hope for a person to wrap themselves around you. I am seeking someone for this comfort and warmth, but love my Mom, siblings, grandchildren and children. Plenty to give me love. ❤
      2. Robin, you see too much. I don’t often speak of my personal life. I have the comfort and Love from precious babies. My husband insists on being the victim still from Vietnam and living in fear of living. He is greatly mentally challenged. I have learned to seek my own happiness within and to turn to those who are open to Love. And leave all the rest behind. 🙂 ❤
    1. If you do, please know declawing is so cruel and so horrific cutting off the tips of the cats’ toes, cats are obligate carnivores (meat eaters so dry food is not right for them), you must earn their trust and respect, and rabies vaccines are being given way too often. I’ve read research that one rabies vaccine will last the lifetime of the cat. I have 2 cats that have never had the vaccines. And I will not allow it. Just passing on to you some of the hard earned knowledge I have gained over the years. 🙂 ❤
      1. Thanks for passing on this information. However, I have had kittens/cats in the past (murders by my abusive ex-husband). I have never agreed with declawing. I would like it if someone cut the tips of my fingers off! My cats loved me – I treated them as if they were my children. I miss then so. As for vaccines; I agree, they are given too many. Whenever my kitties went to the vets, I would ring every 20-30 minutes asking how they were! Mess with my kitties, you mess with me! 🙂
      2. OH thank YOU so much for treating cats right! I have one rescued cat who is declawed and IF I ever found out who did that to her, I’d probably tackle that person to the ground and not stop punching. Sorry, but I get riled towards anyone who hurts animals. Bless you!! I’m sorry to hear about what your ex did and if I ran into him I probably wouldn’t be able to contain myself in not swinging at him. I’m the exact same way when I am at the Vet with my babies. I also do not leave them alone at any time whatsoever. Any blood draws are done in the exam room. I am up front with the Vet NO VACCINES. EVER. I question. We do not use a lot of medications but rather study and give Homeopathy and herbal supplements. I am just SO happy to hear there is another Mama Bear besides me. My kids are my Life! They are all special needs and some right now need a lot of care and yes I give it to them. Persia, again, I truly am sorry about what your ex did. I have a word in my mind that I won’t type here. I have ZERO tolerance for abuse!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
      3. Don’t you just hate auto spell check? I responded to your post on my phone, and look at all the typos! Oh my! Let me correct my errors:
        *murdered not murders
        *I would not like it if someone cut the tips of my fingers off!
        *I miss them so
        Thank you. I still think about them quite often – even though the last two were taken to the pound to be euthanised out of spite almost three years ago. In case you are not aware of what happened, I had returned to the UK, and my abusive ex-husband was supposed to send them to me. Oxy and Fi-Fi were microchipped to me. Cobb County Pound didn’t scan them to check if they had been microchipped, as he posed as their owner. They were lost without each other and euthanised ten days apart. I was too late. I didn’t know where they were, so I got on to Facebook and emailed various rescue centres. Angels Among Us helped me find them. They had already gone to Rainbow Bridge along with the others…
        It is only now, that I feel I can move forward to rescue another couple of kitties. I was afraid to get attached again because of what happened.
        Thanks for the hugs. Right back at you. xo
      4. Such ugly people in this world!! I’m so proud of you for moving forward. It is NOT easy not by a long shot but you are doing it. You will SO cherish you new babies especially after your nightmare. I encourage you to adopt. I feel strongly there are kitties just knowing you will be their Mom. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
    1. I agree. When I saw with my very own eyes what was transpiring I quickly got my phone and then after I snapped a picture just sat and watched for a long time. Tears in eyes, Heart in throat. Soooooo happy you saw this, Maniparna!!! ❤
    1. I know, Tiny, and I am so glad I was able to get that shot. Sometimes my cats move about and don’t stay in one position for long. Karma and Sassy were there for a while so I just watched as they quietly slept. Just one of those moments …. 🙂 ❤
    1. I care for and Love 13 special needs cats. These two cats are a part of this Loving Group. I have made Petals Unfolding a Refuge for all who come here, including myself, to receive a respite from the difficulties of Life. I have also chosen in my own Life to focus on Beauty, Love, and Truth rather then the dramas created from fear that are swirling out of control in this world of ours. That being said, my goal is to help those who do come here to choose in their own Life those things that uplift rather then tear down. If we want change we all must change first ourselves and when that happens, I cannot explain it, but circumstances and people do change around us. I’ve seen it. 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to comment and for the follow. Love, Amy ❤
      1. You have put honest to God tears in my eyes. I have been very discouraged lately, coming up against some really harsh “energy”. To keep going as I do takes super human effort at times, and many sacrifices. I believe so strongly in my message here yet sometimes I just wish to walk away from it. Words such as yours only reconfirms for me how important my work is. Thank you from the bottom of my Heart!!! Now I must go grab a tissue. BLESS you! ❤
      2. I am quite far away from you to really fathom what is going on in your life or the difficulties that are forcibly trying to hinder your flow…
        But You know EVERY SACRIFICE of yours, EVERY EFFORT you put in will pay off, they will only bring Brilliant results and million smiles in your face in spite of anyone trying to destroy your success/work grain by grain! Only and only because the purpose behind this is noble and you are true to it! That however low you feel there will be someone like me who will respect you a notch higher! And you will never walk away!
        I know I am much younger to you, yet this was a token of insane courage from my side! Much love ^_^
      3. When we learn to reach out in Love and Vulnerablity, we know how strong and wonderful we are. Thank you for being courageous. It’s not easy to write from the Heart, not knowing how the other will receive the words. You did good, and I am proud of you! I always write from the Heart and that is what has discouraged me, but no more due to you. I literally got slapped verbally lately for saying what was on my Heart and I both see and feel vengeful retribution. Those whose Hearts are closed with fear will react this way, yet at times I have to pull back from this because I will be honest, it hurts. Then I go to be with Mother and I become Calm again. There are a lot of hurting Hearts in this world. Those that are not ready to take that step of Healing will be nasty, will lash out, will act in ways that are hurtful all because their Heart is empty, cold, and closed.
        Yes, I know you are much younger that I am, and for you to understand the “level” from which I AM, amazes me. It took me a long time to wipe away webs of illusions to see Truth. And I still am. 🙂 You made my day. Really. I will be thinking of all you said as I begin to open my gardens after our winter here. Peace, friend. Thank you. ❤
      4. You are an inspiration to me! I would truly label this as the best experience I have ever got through blogging~ Knowing you was bliss!
        And if my words somehow brought a slight touch of smile on your face, stopped the bleeding heart even for a second…then I think I am more than happy! And I mean it, when I say these!
        And you are brave enough to speak your heart out..Be proud of yourself, and detachedly laugh at those scums of your life!
        Be strong. Stay blessed.And keep spreading this love.
        As a reader out here ( I Just passed high school)
        You will always find us with you!
        Have a refreshing weekend !
