My Gift To You
For those of you who contend with cold temperatures, especially a biting wind, I’ve been experimenting with the intention of healing the skin on my face. As we age, our skin so needless to say, my face had taken a beating this year during Winter.
I think I have discovered a way to heal my facial skin so that it once again glows with health. Before I tell you what I am using, I want to make it very clear I do buy expensive cremes that are made in France, and yes even those were not completely doing the “trick”. My face still felt tight, dry, and oh had it aged. (insert sad face)
This is what I am doing. Every night I mix approximately 100mg Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) with 1ml of water in an oral syringe. Now how you mix it IF you try this, is your choice. Vitamin C does not easily dissolve even when in water that is shaken, not stirred (smile) in the oral syringe. I do my best though.
In the palm of my hand I squirt the Vitamin C with water and mix it with the amount of facial creme I am going to put on my face. Be aware this is going to feel gritty on your face, yet, the miracle of all this, when you gently rub the Vitamin C and moisturizer on your face, the Vitamin C absorbs leaving no evidence of grit.
Last step is applying a tiny amount of Vaseline under and around my eyes, on my lips, on any really chapped areas on my face, and around my lips. The next morning I both see and feel a face that is well hydrated and looking ahhhhhhh ….. youthful again.
See how wonderful I am that I am sharing my beauty secret with you? LOL I know how much I suffered this past Winter with a burned, chapped face. Nothing I put on it helped, and that included a deep facial moisture mask. Amazing what a little bit of Vitamin C and Vaseline will do to skin! GRIN!
