Carol, this is actually digital art with a texture I added, among other things I did to this image. Good question!! I see you are learning about photography. NICE!! These are flowers from my garden and honestly I have no idea what the source of that light is. Makes for an interesting capture, though. 🙂 ❤
Aw, thank you, Van!! How you encourage me! I need to start writing down what I do with my digital art because again I only have a vague recollection what I actually did. I am SO glad you enjoyed this! Love, Amy ❤
Oh my goodness Amy, you’ve outdone yourself again. The whos, hows, and whats all cloud my mind but the over riding thought is, how can I get one for my wall? Looks like it came out of a fairy tale!
LOL!!! Marissa, how you got such a huge laugh out of me. Again I really couldn’t tell you HOW so that means I must start writing down what I am doing, but that takes so much of the fun out of it all. Plus, I am SO focused on what I am actually doing, that the world just fades away. SOOOO glad you enjoyed this!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
Oh thank you, Irene!!! I hope you stayed warm today! Thoughts of you were prevalent today as I deal with a wind burned face from my walk two days ago. I can do cold with no wind, but the wind is what tears up my skin. I have to figure out what to wear on my face that does not constrict my breathing. I have a mask but that is so uncomfortable to wear. A scarf perhaps tied at the back of my neck covering my nose and lower part of my face? But what about my sensitive eyes? Goggles? And those will steam up with a scarf on my face. *sigh* My skin is not like a kid’s anymore. And then what do I put on my face now that it is so burned? I’m going to try raw honey tonight to see if that helps any. Always something.
I’m taking Cooking and Max in to our Vet tomorrow. I’m not able to give Cookie Valerian to calm her down … that has the opposite effect on her. She was born a wild cat, a really good girl, but not good with strangers. As long as I stay with her she will be OK. She is one of the cats who is not eating. I really believe her reason is, she associates mousing with eating and for some reason lately, she just won’t eat. Depression perhaps? I honestly couldn’t tell you. Keep your fingers crossed our Vet has some answers to help her to eat. Love, Amy ❤
When I lived in Denmark in Winter time, where there are a lot of cold wind too in the Winter, I used a fat (in oil) Night Lotion to protect my face, when I went outside. This protect the skin, but not your eyes. Could you use a kind of Sun glasses to protect your eyes? Both honey and beewax are good protectors too, but they are better after damages.
I don’t know, what to think about Cookie’s problem, I don’t catch her mind, when I tune in to you. What is the problem with Max?
I wish all of you good luck at the vet today. Please tell me, what you get to know, dear Amy.
Love, Irene
Irene, I put raw honey on my face last night and it feels oh so much better! I think what I will do is wear a scarf around my face, tied in the back of my neck and wear big sunglasses. I also have a head band that I wear under my hat which covers some of my forehead. No more just wearing no protection on my face. Nope. I’m certainly not a kid anymore!
As for Cookie, you wouldn’t pick up anything from my mind because I am really confused. She used to be the Queen hunter and she associates hunting with eating. She does not go out anymore for many reasons …. LONG story. BUT she doesn’t seem to want to go out anymore either. She also must have fresh air and being it winter and I only occasionally open the back door during winter, she is not getting enough fresh air. I’ve never seen her stop eating though. I’ve tried to get her to play with toy mice and yes she sometimes then eats, but then again stops. Her instinct as well is to take care of the younger barnies that we have in our home (originally from the barn) which she always did when she was outside. She is a “mother”. But she is neglecting herself, and again I do NOT understand why. I see such gratitude and a complete submission to me when I feed her, almost as if she wants me to feed her. I won’t put her on medication just to try to get her to eat … I won’t do it. She looks healthy and just by looking at her you wouldn’t think there is anything wrong. Some of her behaviors have been odd as well. She licks the chair I put her dish of food on because she is hungry but she won’t eat the food. That’s one for example. I will send you a picture of her and maybe you can pick something up I don’t know. Thank you, Irene. Bless you!!! ❤
Dan, you sound kind of down today. To be truthful with you the gray dismal days of winter have begun to get to me. Spring is almost here …. January is almost over and we only have February the shortest month of the year to get through and then MARCH!!! Oh just the sound of that month brings my Heart to attention!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
Not down Amy. Unfortunately, rushing through comments and blogs during lunch. I often “save” yours until I get home, but I have stuff after work today.
Hmmmmm ….. We be on the same page. I’m cleaning and still have yet to get paperwork/documentation and getting cats ready for tomorrow’s Vet visit. I always make time for your site and really try not to go until I can sit and really read. Hang in there. I understand busy!!! ❤
Susan!! Are you serious??? Your comment just floored me! Talk about encouragement …. oh my friend! Thank you so much for saying what you did about this image. And now YOU have inspired me to start writing down HOW I am editing these images with digital art. I don’t want to, but I must if I wish to remember and improve. Love you!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
I almost didn’t say it because I feared you would think I was crazy. But that was my first impression. And we have a habit of telling each other the truth. And we would know if we were not honest.
Um, Susan, listen closely. YOU are the furthest from crazy I know. So get that thought right out of your head. I know what it is like to be looked upon as “crazy”. Nope you aint it. And neither am I. 🙂 (((HUGS))) Amy
PS Your comment just absolutely made my day. Wow to be thought of that highly …. Bless you, my friend! ❤
I’ve seen craZy. Crazy is people who can’t see the beauty around them nor can they appreciate it because they are miserably living trying to tell everyone else what they should be doing to please god. They never ever really find the joy that they promise to others who also never find it. They spend time trying to find ways to force them into the wrong sized shoes and cons others that they will get used to the pain. Almost every creature has more sense than humans. Lemmings. They are born, live and die without ever see the color of a spring green leaf.
And why are you not writing, Susan? You say it, Sister! You speak Truth and then some! AMEN! Yes that is crazy … I could not agree with you more. I know of those people as well who look down their noses at me who dares to be different, who dares to LIVE, who dares to BE ME. Those who would if they could tell me who God is and how I should live my life according to God. Well, God gave me a free will to create and to BE exactly as I CHOOSE. So again exactly why are you not writing? Words are aching to get out …. Let them out, Susan! Don’t be afraid to ring the bell! If peeps don’t like what you write tell them to move on, just move on. OH do I LOVE what you say. I could listen to you day and night, night and day!! Please write, Susan!! ❤
I just did, m’lady. At present I am the curator of several authors, and have agreed to do my best. But what is good is that I am writing some few thoughtful things on FB. I’m learning how to approach what I need to write. That response that I wrote to you this evening was the accumulation of many thoughts that just moved. The trigger was a woman who was my flower in my wedding. A sweet and beautiful child. She is now preaching the sounds of anger. It was beating on me. I think it will continue to lead me.
Susan, please give me your FB address. I would like to follow you. Funny how those who hurt us the most, or who push our buttons the most, end up being our biggest Teachers. I mean that sincerely. You have a way with words where there is a play in them, which is both eye catching, attentions grabbing, and Heart stilling. You’re good, really good. I would LOVE to read what you have on FB. I’ve been reading certain blogs lately that really stir my blood, giving me a ton to think about, ones that I find myself nodding yes yes yes to. Your writing does that to me. I am so proud of you that you are embracing your Gift and going for it. Oh, Susan, I have the goosebumps and I am ready to just cry for JOY! Yes this woman will continue to lead you IF you keep your emotions (lower) under control which is far from easy when the circumstances easily gets you hot around the collar. I know all about it. I LOVE YOU! And for now I bid you adieu for I am ready to fall asleep standing up. I have several cats to attend to and then I have a big date with my bed. Oops, shower first. No time in the morning so now it must be shower even though my head longs to meet pillow. ❤
I thought about it and slept on it and I think we can do some things together. Be aware that my muse comes and goes as she desires. Some days I put up silly things just because I can. My cat, George Bailey. has his own page on FB. He and I can sometimes getaway with more than I get away with on my own. And…I would like to ask permission to add your photographs on my own posts and of course you would be cited.
It is Saturday nearly noon and I must plan menus for the next week.
