Window Of Opportunity

LR edited (1 of 1)

With the New Year fast approaching
giving us a New Window of Opportunity,
let us all take time to reflect
what 2015 meant to us
including the hardships,
the bright colored splashes,
the tears, the joys,
and everything else in between.
Granted the Path of Life for many
is not what was planned
yet together we can continue to walk
on that Path we do see ahead
in our own Lives
as we hold hands
with our True Friends.

    1. I’ve been a very quiet place, Van. Yes reflection is a good word for where I am as Peace softly settles all around me. I too look forward to sharing with you this coming year! I pray it is a lot easier one for me. Have a wonderful day, my friend! Love, Amy ❤

    1. As you can see I’ve begun to venture onto the off road trails. Now I am in need of hiking boots. *sigh* I thought I was all set with the boots I bought to wear on the trails but Nooooooooo …… there is NO snow, only mud! Here I am ready as never before for winter, and NO SNOW! My quest for hiking boots begins today after I scrub out kitty pans. Exciting day for me!!! LOL Have a great day, Dan!

      1. So many brands to choose from. I went with Solomon non-leather. Very comfy, lightweight and waterproof. Fortunately, I own other varieties of their footwear and they all seem to feel the same on my feet. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow, but it won’t last long.

      2. My feet are picky and perfer leather but if I can find a pair that are non-leather and feel good, that is all that matters. Small flakes or sporatic snow here … nothing to write home about though. (smile) This weather is just SO strange.

    1. Those are bare branches, Marissa. My post tomorrow will show even more amazing patterns with bare branches. I’ve gone off road on the trails and in doing so realize I am in need of hiking boots. Nothing but mud. I was expecting SNOW but so far no go. LOL Go figure. I’m all set and here no snow. LOL Love, Amy ❤

    1. Joanne, 2015 was one of the hardest years I’ve had in a very long time, one that I do NOT wish to repeat. I am so looking forward to 2016! I wish you all the very best and HOPE for you that 2016 turns out to be your Shining Best!! And for me too!! Hang in there …. The tough times DO end, and when they do, with hindsight, understanding comes in the A-HA moments. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

  1. What a amazing picture, Amy! I also get reflective this time of year and look back. We were talking about how we spent last Christmas with lots of boxes piled around and what a difference this year has made. Love it. It is starting to snow here for the first time as we speak. Suppose to get several inches. Take care and hope that 2016 is a better year for you/ HUGS ❤

    1. Thank you, Kathy!!! It has just begun to snow here but then I heard temps will rise and the snow will turn to rain. Gee. This weather is truly unbelievable with storm patterns in so many places out of the norm. Enjoy your snow …. I am hoping some snow does stay so I can at least get some really good snow landscape shots. I also thank you for wishing me a better New Year. 2015 was a very difficult year for me. I really wish to see more of my Dreams coming into reality in this next year!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. It certainly has been a strange weather pattern. We ended up getting I am guessing about 4-5 inches. Tough to tell since there is drifting since we are in the country. Did get a few shots. Wishing your Dreams do come true in 2016! HUGS ❤

    1. Charlie, this is only my warmup of what I have for the New Year. (smile) Two more posts are coming …. I do plan on having a wonderful 2016 because 2015 was one of the most difficult years I have had in a very LONG time. Things are looking up!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

    1. Ah, you are the first to mention it, Eliza! It’s so obvious to me because that is exactly what pulled my eye as I was walking towards where I shot this image. Thank YOU for seeing it!! I hope you are having a great day! I’m busy cleaning … all in the day of my Life. (smile) Love, Amy ❤

  2. This past year has been so unexpected. For good and for the awkward, for the amazing, for the dark days and the light, I am thankful. For the new friends, and the hands old friends to warm the dark days. For dashed hopes and for tender new leaves ready to delight me. Because at the end of the journey, what we’ve learned, are important. There is no going back. We either grow and move on to what is next, or we stink of stagnation. We can try to do it on our own, or we lift out a hand of help that benefit us all.

Happy New Year, treasured friend. ❤

    1. How I would LOVE to be able to frame your words and put them on my wall. Susan, your words are so eloquently penned, and I am so moved by them!! There is a poet inside of you, my friend!
2015 was a very difficult year for me. I do not wish to repeat it any time soon, yet SO much I have learned, and SO much I have grown. This post is only a warmup of what is coming for my New Year’s final post. So I won’t wish you a Happy New Year YET until the real deal is here. LOL I Love you, Susan!! I am SO glad we have each other in our lives. Love, Amy ❤

      1. I love you, too, Amy. you are certainly invited to frame it if you like. The poet in me ran amok this morning. I wasn’t consciously writing that. Once again, though–it takes both of us.

      2. I just LOVE it when the spark is lit … that happens to me as well. Before I can even think, my hands just fly. It’s the connection I feel with certain people. I am honored I am one for you!!! xoxoxo Amy ❤

  3. Amy, the trees are always beautiful when you display them through photos. I feel peace and calm when I am in nature. I think the gap between Christmas and new year is a great time to contemplate. Here’s to a better new year for us all. Hugs, Robin ♡

      1. Yes, having fun trying to capture wildlife photos. Getting camera settings right proving problematic. Still got a steep learning curve! I have a flickr album that I have linked to my wordpress 🙂

      2. Be easy with yourself, JM! It took me years to get those settings right and still to this day I fumble! I shot on automatic for a LONG time before venturing into the creative zones on my camera. We all learn in our unique ways and mine is hands on. I must see what you are now creating. (smile) I’ll be going to your flickr album. ❤

      3. I am trying out the semi automatic mode at the moment, hit and miss with exposure! My bird on the hand finger shot was incredible in terms of that the bird came to my outstretched left hands and I was holding the camera with the other 🙂 I wasn’t even sure that the camera was set properly…just took the shots!

      4. Magic has begun to happen, JM. And I am SO thrilled for you! Same thing happens to me … Not the bird so to speak, but with other scenarios that things happen and afterwards I say … HOW did I get that shot? That picture of the bird made me want to experience that too. How awesome! I did have a Chic-a-Dee come to my hand once, but these birds have become very wary on account of the outside cats from the barn next door to us. Just keep on shooting! You are inspiring me! I look at the day we have today, dreary, gray, rainy, and think gee, there is nothing to shoot. And so I sag. Just know your new found happiness is really rubbing off on me. Thank you from the bottom of my Heart! My Dad’s passing last January has been weighing heavily on my mind, so yes my spirits have been low. You have lifted them!! ❤ ❤ ❤

    1. Oh, Val!!! The tears that have been spilling today again spill. 2015 was so difficult for me, and with 2016 almost here, I pray that it is a much easier year for me. Between now and the New Year, the time has come to look at the heartache that contains my grief for my Dad. I haven’t been able to do that properly, but now that time surely has come. Bless you for your well wishes. Bless you, my friend!!! Love, Amy ❤
