Will She Make It?

    1. I hope so too, Irene. Thank you for the well wishes. I think I am taking it easy on WP this week. I really want to get my shopping out of the way and I still seem to be struggling with a “bug” of some sort. I got most of my personal shopping finished today YAY which consists of outer wear for my walking and photography. One more stop where I get new walking sneaks which I need, and a pair of boots for good, again which I need. For family gifts this year I need some supplies which I hope to get tomorrow. The traffic already is nuts so I really do not want to go shopping between Thanksgiving and Christmas if I don’t have to.
Anyways … again thank you for the well wishes and I do promise to keep a very close eye on this Rose. We saw a few flakes of snow today but the temps are supposed to go up to the 50’s midweek. Crossing fingers this Rose fully blooms. She is beautiful as is … and I know it. 🙂 Love you, Amy ❤

      1. Thank you Amy. Good to hear that you take your time to do, whatever you feel that you need.
Boots are important this time a year, when we love to walk in the nature. I bought some new too short time ago.
Enjoy your days, every one of them.
        Love you too ❤ Irene

  1. I hope you get in and out of the stores without incident Amy and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I look forward to this rose reaching full bloom and to those photos you will be taking this winter.

    1. Hi, Dan!! I did get what I wanted to today accomplished. Just one more stop for personal items and then one other store for supplies for Christmas and hopefully that is it. I am all set now for winter for warmth as I go out in the forest. I have to order online boot grippers to put on my boots … they go over the boots and have these spikes on the bottom for ice and slippery conditions. I saw some today but was on the way to checkout, so didn’t stop to get them. I know the size to get so no prob there.
Anyways … Crossing fingers this Rose makes it and if She does I will be posting Her on Petals.
May you and your family have a wonderful and truly Blessed Thanksgiving this year, my friend. We all have just so much to be thankful for!!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. Oh, Susan, Her beauty steals my breath away. She has secrets and she has mystique that just draw my eye to Her again and again. I keep going outside to look at Her just to stare in wonder that She actually is growing even when we have had heavy frosts. She is beating the odds, and if that is not a sign for me, I don’t know what is!!!
May you and your family have a most Blessed Thanksgiving this year! We all have so much to be thankful for!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. That’s my daddy in that photo darling. Not my D. I’ll send you a pic by email of me and D. I’ve had them up before but I only leave them up for a few days.

I’ve been feeling the need to keep him close to me so there he is. I miss him.

      2. Oh wow, I am so embarrassed! I’m sorry, Rita. My eyes have been very blurry lately and I really had trouble seeing your gravatar. I went to your main gravatar to see the larger image but it was blurry too. LOL I was thinking how much older your husband looked then you are. Again I really apologize.
I’ve been thinking of my Dad too, my friend. This is my first Thanksgiving without him in my Life. I have his sweater which we bought him and I have been wearing it lately. I’ve been talking to him out loud. So yes I understand fully. There is a part of me that I just won’t allow to fully feel because I know I will fall apart. And if I did that, it would wreck me right now.
Sending you Much Love, many (((HUGS))), and Comfort in this time of your Life. I Love you, Rita. Amy ❤

      3. Don’t you dare be sorry! When I was 9 I told him I was gonna marry him so there!

It is blurry large because I cropped the dance out.

I find now that bringing him close is a peaceful comfort. The sorrow has turned to joy!

Check your email! I love you so.

    1. Delvi, She has already beat the odds and as one of my friends here at WP said, this coming Saturday is the year anniversary of the horrific snow storm we had last year. She is a Sign of HOPE that this this Winter will be kinder and so beautiful!!! I have a lump in my throat as I write this.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, my friend. Love, Amy ❤

  3. Yes, we are getting to that busy time of year where a lot of bloggers are not on the blogosphere due to traveling and shopping. I hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful. A miracle indeed that she is blooming at all. You’ll have to update us on her progress…that’s if you find the time!

    1. Marissa, I will update you all on Her progress. I think what you saw is about as far as She is going to go, yet, even that to me is a Miracle, and just Perfect. May you and your family have a really wonderful Thanksgiving this year!!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. Laura, as of today I have put my phone away and I am only posting on Instagram now and again. I have decreased my interactions with FB as well. I was laying in bed last night feeling like my head was on fire or about to explode. I am NOT doing this anymore! It has gotten out of hand and I am the only one who can stop this madness. I don’t know how people do it, but you know what? I’ve gotten off the wheel. My “bug” is telling me I have way overdone things and my health is more precious then gold. That being said, I will keep blogging as much as I can and get my head stuck in Nature again like I want to. This social media is NUTS!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, my friend!! Take care!!! Love, Amy ❤

      1. I completely understand Amy! Boy do I understand. It is a bit much. I’ve recently been inundated with friend requests on FB and I’m up over 400 now. Ugh. I don’t mind posting to all these places but I can’t keep up on the follows. I do have a core group I follow but I can’t do more than that I’ve decided. It’s just too much. We all do what we can and there’s more to life than posting and liking images!! lol Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :))

      2. I surrender. I just put my hands up and say, I quit. I totally forgot about Twitter which in of itself is INSANE. I don’t do a thing over there except post my posts there, and if anyone tweets my work, I retweet. Have you see the PACE of that place? I get seasick just thinking about it!!!
There is so much more to life then posting and commenting. I really saw clearly how there is just SO much photography out there, that the chances of my work being recognized are very slim. So why am I killing myself? Nope. Not doing it anymore. No way, Hose! I’m trying to catch up on my WP comments and then I am off of here. I have not gone to FB today, nor Instagram either. Twitter, no clue. I looked at my phone twice to check for FAMILY texts and that is it. Just looking twice gave me an instant headache. No, Laura, I admit defeat and with JOY. I want to LIVE LIFE, not be tied to a computer. More and more lately I have seen people without phones and I say YAYAYAYAY!!!!
I dance and I yell I QUIT to get LIFE back!!! 🙂 ❤

      4. I’ve deduced it is an addiction and with gritted teeth I say NO NO NO NO!!!! I know what you are saying because I have been here before BUT not quite this determined. I getting exhausted and ill over this social media and one who has lost her health more then once, I am not going to do it again. Yet, I am admitting the THRILL of getting a following, of having others to like my work, is just that a THRILL and I LOVE IT. So! That being said … I will find something in LIFE that thrills me just as much. What I ask? I don’t know. But darn it and will not get ill with this technology. It truly is not healthy, and my intuition is screaming this at me. For real.
I totally get the HELLPPPPPP!!! I think an organization needs to start that is called Technoholics Anonymous. 🙂

  6. In me, it instills a deep awe of how warm this winter’s going to be… They’re calling it a: ‘Godzilla El Ninio’ this year! That doesn’t mean there won’t be snow; just that it will eveaporate so rapidly, that you’ll have to be ready! A wintery day could last mere moments this year. Eat chicken soup! That cures colds! There’s something in the aroma that clears out your sinuses. You’ll have a runny nose, but it goes good with the soup. LOL! Kisses and Hugs: D. xOxO

    1. Geewillikers! Here I spent hours today buying the perfect clothes so that I will be super duper extra warm this year and comfy (able to move with ease) and you go and tell me the snow is gonna melt so fast I will have to run after it. Ah, man! Go figure! I thought I would be smart and be all prepared for the blasts of winter and now it looks like those blasts may never happen. Huh. Well, anyway I look at it, I now have the appropriate clothing in case cold weather comes my way. So, that’s a good thing!
As for my runny nose, I actually was able to breathe through my nose today for the first time in a while. I did have chicken soup, I did I did! Having chicken again tonigiht, I am I am!
Glad you stopped by and just in case I don’t see you before Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving, Darrell. We both have many Blessings to be grateful for!!! Cheers to friendship!! Love, Kisses, (((HUGS))) xoxoxo Amy ❤

      1. It can snow when it’s mild out… Gosh! I hope you don’t look like the Michelin Man, and someone doesn’t find you floating over Lake Erie, attached to your camera on a long tether! LOL! Yes! Cheers to friendship! And chicken soup! Cheers to chicken soup too! Oh yes. We’ve already had our Thanksgiving up her love. But y’all have a good one down there! Ya hear? Love with a little balogna, but that’s me: Em… I’ll just wave thanks. LOL!

      2. No worries … what I bought actually is nice … I have Michelin Man in my basement hanging on hangers that I used last year. So you can breathe … I won’t be up up and away and found in Lake Erie. LOL
I am feeling much better today, Darrell, and in fact must clean. *sad face* Sure, I am feeling better and what do I have to do? Clean!? Such is Life! So I hope I have energy for tomorrow for more shopping to buy a pair of boots for good and to go for my LONG challenging walk at Chestnut Ridge Park. A total of 1 hour and 20 minutes of power walking up and down massive hills. Yup, that’s a workout! And I will be wearing my new insulated vest IF the temps say wear it, Amy!!! 😉 Waving back … IF I was on my iPad I could *insert here* waving girl! ❤

      3. Amy; You strike me as a girl who’s been around the block a few times! Quite the workout there… Wouldn’t a robotic, self administering defibrillation kit be a great invention? What am I thinking? We have St. Bernard’s, carrying a barrel of whitskie around their necks. LOL! 2 81 mg. aspirin tablets aught to do the trick. And don’t forget your road flares… Better make that scud missiles… Do you have a cell phone in case an A-Bomb drops while you’re gone? The Queen! We’ve got to warn The Queen! LOL!

    1. Thank you, Mabel!! This Rose is SO special to me. Since I have been walking outside a lot, and since I am planning on shooting a lot during this winter, I will be outside in the cold. But I have bought gear that will keep me warm, YAY, so I am all set. The only problem is my face. Due to the aging process, my skin on my face has gotten thinner and more sensitive and when subjected to wind and cold, it shows. SO, to get around that (smile) … oh yes, I do have a wee bit of vanity … I buy good face cream. LOL *sighs* When I was young I took my youth for granted. Treasure your youth right now, for in all honesty, it doesn’t last long. LOL Gee, I’m writing a book. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. Good luck and take care shooting this winter, Amy. Yes, get a food face cream so your skin doesn’t hurt and the skin doesn’t peel off. The other day I went to an outdoor concert and it was 10’C spring weather (which I will write about in my next post)…when I got home I saw my face peeling all over. Ah well 😀 If you feel cold, drink something hot and then you will be as right as rain ❤

      2. Be careful of the sun, my friend. I have a few “trouble spots” that I am keeping my eyes on which I know are from the sun. I was stunned when in the beginning of the month, I got a burn and not only that, sun poisoning, unheard of for this time of year. So that sun has really gotten hot! If you care for your skin starting young, your skin will glow when you get to be my age. If you haven’t seen what I look like, I have my picture on Petals. You have to open up one of my posts and scroll down to a comment box. Under the comment box, you will see me. I have seen more then 55 years. 🙂 ❤ (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

The one of me on the rocks I am in shorts, and here we are in November just getting ready to step into snow. LOL 😉 The cool thing about changing seasons, it gives you an opportunity to change your look. It’s fun! ❤ I know of someone who always has the same hair style, wears the same perfume … Not me. I wake up, for example, and my hair usually dictates how my hair wants to be on that day. Hehehehehe I never know. 😉 ❤

Ah, the aging process … oh yes, I have become very familiar with it. How ironic Life truly is for now at my age, I have the wisdom and the motivation to really live Life the way I have always really wanted to, yet when young, I had no direction so I did not know what to do.
