I do believe we BOTH are in for some good tidings! A great a glorious beginning! All those ones??? One to my knowledge, represents change, new beginning. I make a toast to you and me …. OH GLORY BE! Good things are here!!! ❤
Beautiful capture! I always love these soft droplets of water..so blissful they look,,, 🙂
It’s Veterans Day in your country and it’s Diwali here, a festival of lights which denotes the triumph of good over evil… It’s a good day all over the world, I surmise…. 🙂 ❤
Oh, okay, I actually first looked at this on my iPhone but now I’m on a computer so I can see all the detail better. Please pass on my gratitude to him.
My phone is messing up or is it WP again? I cannot open my notifications from my phone which has become SO handy!! Grrrrrrr …… Time for me to go for a walk! If you have new I’ll be there after my walk. MUAH!!! ❤
Oh yeah, I can’t open notifications from my phone either. I don’t really know what was messing it up, or whether it was messing it up at all…just easier for me to see everything on a nice big screen.
I spoke to WP today and there is a problem with the android 6.0 phones, which I am probably thinking you have. They are aware of the problem and are working on it right now. I am on the go so much that my phone has become so convenient to use to answer comments. When I do most of my commenting, I am on my laptop or iPad. I’ve become too techo orientated lately and I really don’t like it. Truth be told. ❤
Yes, it is an unfortunate convenience. I can’t believe you got any communication from WP, much less on the phone. Every time I try to get customer service, I’m hard pressed to find a link online. How did you do it?
On my laptop NOT MY PHONE, a little box sometimes pops up in my lower right hand corner when I am on my notifications page, which is WP customer service. I click on that and begin to have a conversation. That box is not there all the time, like today for example, it is not. Today the problems seem to be fixed, or at least it looks that way. I sure hope so!!!!
I will, Susan. Bless you for saying so!!! I am really touched and my husband will be too. That experience has had a long lasting effect, and a lot of it not good. War does not stop once it is over or when the soldier comes back home. Oh no! People tend to romanticize war but oh not me! I live the effects of war every single day to the point some days I question my sanity for staying in this marriage. How is that for being truthful? War kills much more then the physical body. I do believe this subject is going to be one of my books I plan on writing. What it is like to live with a Vet who suffers from PTSD, panic disorder, OCD, and Depression. Not a pretty picture. Perhaps my book will get people to really start to THINK how horrible war is. OK.
I shall get down off my platform now. 🙂 Love you!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
Oh, Amy, my heart goes out always for the heroes who served in Viet Nam. they had it like everyone else and then were spit on. My brother, a gentle soul, was set out for a sniper. He’s a shell of who he was before. So, my love goes to both of you.
My husband as well, Susan. The older he gets the more I see him digress. I have him on an eating regimen right now with intentions of getting him stronger. Yet, I cannot lead a horse to water, Susan. He has to WANT to get stronger. Prayer is my most cherished “weapon”. ❤
He is really moved by how many people thanked him today. I had to remind my own family to thank him, and others in this family, I didn’t wish to bother for I knew they really wouldn’t want to do it. How sad. I am SO SO happy to have friends like you who have thanked my husband. It really means so much!!! ❤
Like I said, I’m so honored… My husband and I don’t exchange presents on Christmas and birthdays. We save the money and donate to USO, have done so for more than a decade. Just want to let you that we sincerely respect our soldiers.
Oh Amy! You have put huge tears in my eyes. Bless you both! I am going to tell my husband what you just told me. 🙂 So Much Love to you and your husband!! ❤
THANK YOU!!! My hands actually shook when taking this image this morning. My hands and wrists already are not as strong as when I was doing all my macro over the Summer. I really had to focus on my breath and get my shaking under control (which I never fully did) and when that focus point flashed red, I tried to depress the shutter immediately. I got lucky on this one, Amy. I’m just so happy how it did turn out!! Love, Amy ❤
Honestly, Amy, I don’t know. It was an overcast day here today and perhaps my settings at which I took this shot at, were the perfect combinationt to produce magic. Now you have me asking me, HOW did I do this? When I saw these drops from my eating room window on one of my Rose bushes, something just pulled at me deep inside and I just knew, man I just knew, I had to get that shot. Fairies. There you go. That’s the explanation. First the strong draw, and then the fairies made sure that the reflections would be clear in each drop. I am wowing out loud. If it were not for you, I really would not have noticed what you did. Can you believe that? What I was so focused on was how each drop came out so clearly despite my shaking hands. SO I really thank YOU for pointing the reflections out to me. Just wow!!! ❤
I noticed immediately, but I was at work, I had a minute to drop a few words… This is Just amazing, each one of them!! Fairies. I have never see anything like this. Btw, I’m on Instagram. It’s fun! Lots of cool photographers. I think you’ll like it. 🙂
you can also go to your IG friends to click their followers. You may want to try to tag using #flowers #Nature, etc. for viewers to search. You can also tag #Love_natures #splendid_flowers #flaming_flora; they are flower photo groups. When you join them, if they like your photo, they will choose your photo to post onto their gallery. A another way to expose… 🙂
Hmmmmm ….. thank you, Amy!!! How about throwing in some TIME for me or finding me a manager? I was up to 11pm last night still editing photos for Instagram trying to get it right with apps. I am finally just going to import my photos to my computer into PS and LR. Getting my images to look good on IG I am finding to be a real challenge! I’m learning!! LOL Thanks for the tips!!! ❤
Alexander, when I read this comment of yours, my jaw dropped. I am stunned by your words. IMO I have so much more to learn and create yet your encouragement just blew me right out of the water. Thank you SOOOO much! I am SOOOO touched! Love, Amy ❤
Thank you, Barbara. The image has so much meaning on so many levels. I was stunned to hear the different interpretations from other people. That made me take a deeper and longer look at my own work. My husband associated the water drops with tears and slow agony. He, the Vietnam Vet, would know. I am so appreciative of your support of this post, Barbara. Thank you. Love, Amy ❤
Reduced to taking pictures of sticks… How sad… Just ask! I wood have bought you a pencil! LOL! I think your left droplet is reflecting a tiny ‘you’ taking the picture. It makes me reflect on the wonders within a drop of water. Hey! I’d settle for the wonders within a drop of Vodka! Perfect shot full of deep hidden meanings! You’re becoming more observant on a macro level :O)
Many were amazed by these droplets, Darrell. I took a closer look and those water droplets blew me away. I will have to take a better look at the left droplet to see if I can see me. How cool is that? I got me! LOL I am going deeper into the world of Mother and yes my observation skills are widening. I really do look forward to see what I can do with this coming winter. This should prove to be interesting as I trudge through forests on snowshoes and camera equipment. Hmmmmm …. I’ll be taking lots of pics of wood!! LOL Have a great day, my friend! Love, Amy ❤
This is wonderful. The opening is an attitude that so many should see in life “Seeing Beauty within the stark is the mark of Living Life.” and then with that very same attitude understand that the freedom we have in seeing such beauty is brought to us by Veteran. This poem is a great reminder and best to your husband.
Lovely capture, Amy! ❤
