Beautiful macro shot. Such a deep red colour on those petals, simply stunning. Great eye, Amy. And certainly great work. I’m always surprised and treated to such beauty whenever I stop by here ❤
Also, great haiku. So little words but what a profound message imparted. I couldn't have said it any better. Hope your weekend is going well. And loving the new look and theme ❤
Mabel, deeply grateful to you I am for both your encouragement of me and support of my work, and for the feedback about my new theme. Not everyone comes to my blog, just using the reader. Thank you SO much for taking the extra time to come directly to Petals. It means a lot to me. May you have a great day and better weekend! Love, Amy ❤
I like visiting people’s blogs directly – with the theme, I truly feel the writer and artist behind the blog post. I also like the photo of you down below in the sidebar, such a serene shot of you and your camera humbly standing in the background. Lovely job all round on the post, photos and blog, as always ❤
I enjoy visiting blogs as well for the same reason, Mabel. So many are always in such a rush and do not go to the blog itself. They don’t know what they are missing. May your Sunday be wonderful!! But OH! I think your Sunday is over already ….. you being on the other side of the world from me!! LOL (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
I need rest this weekend, Irene. And yes all is well. Some of my cats yesterday got me to the point of collapse … SO many needed treatments. And you must check this flower out at my blog with my NEW theme. You won’t be disappointed. Promise. 🙂 ❤
Your blog looks amazing Amy and with the new flower even more beautiful.
Do you need help with other of your cats than Sassy right now? I feel, that Molly don’t call me so much any longer.
Here my cats also ask for different treatments and I have contacted Royal Canin about their food, because I find that something is not good. But this for another day.
I try to rest here too, but do my best for just showing the jewelry at my blog. If I find more energy, I will write too. Please tell me, if I can do anything to help the beauties Amy.
Much love,
Irene
Irene, not sure what is going on. All except for Rusty seem OK today. Rusty’s old injury is painful so he is getting Homeopathy for that. In fact, I will be giving it to him soon. He’s our cat that almost lost his leg last summer. For some reason his paw seems (left rear) inflamed. It might be the change of seasons setting this off. I don’t know. Molly is still recovering from her treatment on Tuesday and displays up and down patterns …. doing well, struggling.
The thought of “food” crossed my mind because a lot of mine have been vomiting. Not sure if it is furballs or if is a food I am feeding them. Royal Canin is a brand I give my cats, the Oral Sensitive (dry) as snackies in the evenings. I’m not sure at this point what exactly is going on. I wish you all the best becasue figuring these things out is not easy.
Dear Amy, my white cat has holes in his fur, which I only have seen before, when he got bad food. As you know, they are brothers and 12 years old, so they get the Senior Consult, Stage 2 from Royal Canin. But this is not good enough, at least not for him. Both the cats and my dog loose much to much hair, for which I give them the salmon oil. It has helped a bit, but not enough. Hvide started at Life Gold yesterday again, because he is getting worse and stay very close to me all the time, which tells me, that he is feeling bad.
I contacted Royal Canin International, but got to know, that each country make their own food and it contains not necessary the same even inside the same name in the brand. This is not satisfying for me. I await to hear, what Royal Canin in Spain has to say to this. I received a polite email from RC in US, that they could not help me, because all countries make their own food. You can see the email, if you wish to.
You will hear more, when I get to know. Will send all your beauties healing and hope they will be better soon. I know, that you do all the best for them Amy.
Love, Irene
And thank you for checking my blog out. I sweated bullets yesterday changing the theme. My neck was like steel. In other words, it was stressful. I’m OK today. ❤
Oh Amy, it’s funny because when I saw the flower, the whole page looked kind of different to me but I just attributed it to being a darker picture and I thought that changed the whole look of the page. Silly me! It looked terrific!!
If you are talking about the reader LOL. You won’t see the full effect unless you go to my blog. There you will have no doubt that things have changed. I made a huge change last night despite the steel in my neck. 🙂
The steel in my neck?? Did I miss something?? Anyway, I do go to your blog since I really only visit blogs through email, so, yeah, I guess I’m just that daft…but see today’s comments. Maybe I got it right??
I’m laughing, Marissa. You really make me laugh. It was very stressful to make a change for me and to me the change is huge. Tee hee …. You are NOT daft. You are just in your own world, which is a GOOD thing. 🙂 ❤
When did the new theme arrive Amy. I was here earlier, but as a result of the direct link in the email, so I missed the front page effect – It’s really stunning and it works so well for your blog where there is always a beautiful photo to bring us in. Nicely done indeed!
I worked on this theme last night through the clenched steel that was in my neck. I threw caution to the winds and just jumped in. I’m glad you like it for it really will show and is showing my photography to a much greater advantage. Now I have something new to play with. LOL Bless YOU for the feedback!! ❤
How beautiful and just love your new theme. Was really surprised when I clicked to read your post. Great Job my dear friend. Have a great weekend and get some rest. HUGS ❤
Thank you SO much, Kathy! I am in all honesty thinking of going back to bed just to either close my eyes for a few or nod off. I really need some rest. You have a great weekend too. I’m SO glad you like my new theme. Thank you for telling me. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
You’re welcome! I haven’t seen it yet. I was on my phone and it is so tiny. I only clicked on the image to enlarge it but I’ll have to pay a visit to take a peek.
Let me know when you take a peek. Your opinion I do value. It was SO stressful doing this change. I LOVE it and hope you do too when you see it. NO HURRY!!!! And as far as what you are doing with your camera, I really like how you are experimenting with FORM. 🙂 ❤ 🙂
I know how stressful changes can be. Well done and I’m sure people will love it. I commented on another thread about it so I’ll just leave you here by saying….I am experimenting with everything at the moment it seems. Especially with processing. And after seeing JMW Turner, I really need to work on my processing!! Even though he’s a painter, we can learn so much from someone like that.
I am focusing on the same thing, Laura, (processing) as well as lighting, angle, and what to fill the frame with and how. Lots to think about as I aim my camera. Sometimes I really do get lucky, other times I really take my time setting the “scene” up. Even the height of the camera makes all the difference in the world. Carry on, on wondrous photographer, as you forge ahead into unknown lands. LOL
That sounds very nice..then your love grows to love others.
