I arrived
expecting Fire
from
my Cherished Sky
But instead
my sight was led
to Succulent Sands below
whose Golden Glow
out lit the Sky
as my Delighted Smile
displayed my Guile
when know I did
I’d found what was hid
from within my Yearning Soul …
as my Fire fully lit.

Labor day found me at Lake Erie fully intending to capture the sunset.  To my complete disappointment, dark clouds moved in and before the sun could meet the water on the horizon, the sun’s rays darkened, covered by those dark clouds.  I attempted to get some cloud shots yet the “OH WOW” was missing.  So I began to relax and just look out over the waters and that is when I noticed the sand below me seemingly glowing from the reflection of the sunset that the clouds were hiding.  Now how the reflection even appeared when the sun’s light was not even evident, boggles my mind, but not one to hesitate I immediately began to take photographs.  And yes, the “OH WOW” was most definitely there.  Friends, this photograph was taken with slow shutter speeds and it leaves me completely, and I mean completely in awe of Mother.  As you gaze at this image, see the Power and the Mystic and the Absolute Divinity that this photograph represents.  Feel it.  Merge with it.  Allow it to light your Inner Fire as it did mine. (smile)  ENJOY!

    1. The biggest smile just broke out over my face, Dan!! Thank you!!! I just got a comment from my Mom who thinks this is the sky. LOL The more I stared at this image the more I saw different things. This one blew me away to be truthful. I could NOT believe what I saw through my viewfinder. And here I came for the sunset that evening. Well, I found it just not in the traditional manner. You made my day!!! I am SO happy you enjoyed this!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

  9. What a beautiful image…just absolutely stunning. I had to wonder just for a second whether this was the sky or the sea and then, yes, I did figure it out but of the million breathtaking sunset I’ve seen, I’ve never seen it captured quite this way. Oh, and the picture of the photographer is not bad either! Ha, ha! Always nice to see the woman behind the masterpiece.

    1. Thank you, Marissa!!! I must agree this image is quite unique. Ya never know what Mother will show me next! And oh, by the way, I thought of YOU yesterday! I was in Target getting a few items I wanted to buy, and as I cashing out, I put my grocery store card instead of my credit card hrough the card scanner and of course the transaction was canceled. I started laughing SO hard because of what I did, laughing and saying to the cashier I cannot believe I did that. She began to laugh too. The people in line behind me were NOT laughing and I could feel the glares because I was holding up the line. I am laughing as I write this …. OH if you only could have been there to see me laughing hysterically at myself while I was holding up the line behind me. Oh my!!!! Tee hee ….. Hope you are having a great Sunday!!! Love, Amy ❤

I was like “I want what she’s having!” – and then you revealed your secrets; Discipline and dedication! You look absolutely ‘bloody’ amazing! Sorry, I had to emphasis with the ‘bloody’ because you really do look great! The picture of health and happiness, in fact!

I know we have discussed nutrition and exercise and now that you have seen with your own eyes what I look like, I hope to encourage you even more to be GOOD to you! I am laughing out loud due to your bloody word! Hehehehehe LOVE IT! Thank YOU SO much!!!     1. John, this is a huge Gift from Mother, believe me. I was stunned when I saw the colors in both the waves and the sand. My circular polarized filter really broght the colors out.     1. Yes, Van, that was sand. I was just as blown away, believe me! I’m so glad I did not give up that evening but turned my attention instead to the waves. And then when I began a closeup pan of the waves, I was shocked to see what I saw. This is only one of the shots I took. Truly magic!!       1. Hi Beautiful. I’m so behind on blogging and my Reader, but I want to get this apartment looking neat and cozy before winter moved in. The work room is still a mess, but I’m spending a lot of time in here, trying to get it sorted out, and things put together again. A very daunting joy, but I”m determined it will be done before winter hits.
