A Twist On Life

    1. Perseverance, Irene. Right attitude. It is a journey, one that will have phases in it where you don’t think you can do it. Every day has choices in it. For example I can choose to feel sorry for myself for what I am missing out in life, or I can choose to be Happy in Heart even doing the mundane things I do every day. When I walk with Love in my Heart, Life flows and I feel Peace within. When I look at what I “could” be doing in Life IF I did not have certain circumstances in my Life, I feel unsettled. So I keep my eyes on those things that are in my Life, and what could be. I hope this helps. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. Thank you Amy for your kind comment. I try to live in and with peace, but caused circumstances outside my reach, this is not always a possibility.
        Thank you for your encouragement.
        Love ❤ Irene

      2. Those are the “curve balls” I spoke of that tend to upset the apple cart. I know all about those. There too we still have free will to choose what we do, how we act, or what we won’t do. It is all a learning experience ….. 🙂 Sometimes so not easy!!! ❤

      3. OR … Ive been thinking about what you said. Those things in your Life that you really don’t want to be there, could be there to be the “irritant factor” to polish your Pearl. It is how your react, or not react; it is what you do with those circumstances that could bring to you a higher level of Awareness.
I hope this helped some more. Life is at times complex and very ironic. ❤

      4. Thank you Amy. You are right, it is about how I react to those circumstances. I do my best to live with Kindness as my religion, it is always possible to be kind, in one or another way. Sometimes I do get tested. Life is very complex at times.
        Much love
        ❤ Irene

      5. I so agree with you that Life is complex. That is why I try to simplify matters regarding Life so that I can understand it. And then I pass that on here at Petals. (smile) Love, Amy ❤

    1. To answer your question, no, Marissa. The post previous to this one is where I decreased the vibrancy. And yes the patterns on this flower is what caught my eye through one of our windows as I was cleaning. I put everything down, got my camera, and clicked away. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      1. I toss between feeling good to utter exhaustion, Marissa. I’ve gotten so far behind in my “normal routine” and when I attempt to catch up, I feel good. Then the next day bam! I get slammed with exhaustion. Today is one of those days. Little by little I’ll be OK again. I know I will. I am intending to close up early tonight and get into bed early. I need to. Bless you for your concern, my friend. I have lots more Beauties coming …. It’s just the point in maintaining and sustaining enough energy to do everything I do. Just know come this winter I have many many delights for everyone who comes to Petals. GRIN!!! (((HUGS))) …. hoping you are having a great weekend, Amy ❤

    1. Dearest friend, you have put tears in my eyes. Your words are like music to my Heart and Soul. These past months have been so difficult, and to read what you wrote, gave such JOY to my weary self. Bless you from the bottom of my Heart. Bless you!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

  2. Photo and words, so lovely and true. Reflecting the back, the underside, the side we never usually look at, illustrates a point of view that there is beauty in places we tend to overlook, especially when circumstances tend to overwhelm.

    Shining Light, Amy, as usual.

  3. The poem was very well thought out Amy! And the photo is excellent! I never would have thought of that approach… And I know where this stems from! LOL! And I especially enjoyed this line: “I’m willing to work with Life
in order to create with Life.” The photo and poem are an excellent fit: both showing growth and creativity as the solution to life! I am astounded Amy! Truly! Now where can I find a plastic plant just like that one? (SHABOOM!)

    1. Actually, Darrell, the words began to flow last evening and I just sat down to write them. They actually were born from recent experiences in my Life. I’m really glad you enjoyed this post. And I am happier that the words spoke to you!
As for the plastic plant, I wouldn’t know where to begin. So sorry. The real will have to do just fine for now. 🙂 Love, Amy ❤

      1. About last night… I was laughing at the plastic thing all day! I was trying to eat a peanut-butter sandwitch, and kept choking on it, just when I thought I’d finally settled down. It makes me happy to belittle your work. LOL!

You know I only meant to give you a laugh… Sorry :O(

      2. OH… Maybe that’s why I’m so fond of you: your lite hearted ‘don’t take everything so seriously’ approach to life!

I sometimes over-step my bounds with people, without really knowing. So I like to know where I stand, and don’t want to hurt someone I love! So I try to feel people up… I meant to say: ‘out’ :O(

      3. My computer has this annoying habit of shutting down in 15 seconds, right when I’m in the middle of something…

About last night – Part 2

I thought it would give both our sites a boost for a while there. But what if someone new came on your site? It might look to them as though I’m insulting you, and you’re not fighting back. That’s just too weird for me!

So, because I value our friendship so highly, I’ve decided to back off on the snide remarks conserning your photography.

You know I’ll still give my honest opinion as a fool and a buffoon… It’s part of my duty to the clown guild. You know I’m not happy unless I find some way to clown around, so I made a list so you can pick something I can clown around about. Please pick one:

        1) Your underwear?
        2) Aimless, stupid meanderings?
        3) Trucker jokes only?
        4) Only poor out my guts on my own blog?
        5) Only make a Ha Ha in one out of five of my posts?
        6) Only joke about myself? (Pick this one!!)
        7) No jokes about men, women, child, animals, vegetables or minerals?
        8) Only jokes about vampires and those risen from the grave llooking for bus fare?
        9) Only jokes about female migratory birds, as long as I don’t refer to their stockings?
        10) No jokes! Go to a corner and wait for a doggy treat?

      4. Hmmmmm ….. *thinking* ….. Let me see which number (s) I shall pick. OK! Here goes for the sake of the newbies ….. I’ll take #2 and # 5, since you insisted on that one, so just to be fair, I chose it. 🙂 Did I fair well? As for you being misunderstood, well, gee, um, does it really matter as long as I know you are not insulting me? Now that I know you would not do. Not you! 😉

    1. Amy, I am SO happy you liked this!!! I saw this angle from a window, and immediately dropped what I was doing, grabbed my camera and got this shot. The light was just right as the bonus for me. I turned around this evening to get some very closeups of my Rose of Sharon flowers. Lots of Roses coming, Ame. I still am having difficulty maintaining and sustaining my energy, so as soon as that happens, I’ll be blogging more regularly. (((HUGS))) Amy<3

      1. It’s really an amazing shot because it’s not an easy angle to take a shot. I think you can take photos from any angle of a flower, and it’d more than beautiful! ❤

      2. Now it is my turn to say, “Aw, Ame!” Thank you for the recognition of the difficulty quotient in this shot. I enjoy the challenge of getting the image exactly at the same angle I see “something” with my eyes. 🙂 As with anything the more you practice …. the better you get! ❤

  4. It may feel like chaos, but it is change that renews us and keeps us on our toes and at our best…thinking, feeling, and being, but I am sure you already know that.
Hope things are going well for you.
    btw…nice pic.

    1. True, Chazz, yes. Yet I observe those who when they meet chaos, “react” as a child, hence, actually creating more chaos which worsens the situation, and when all is said and done, learns nothing. A Golden Opportunity that Chaos brings for growth, understanding, strength, is by-passed by man’s own fear which blocks the “light” from entering. The choice is still there to choose the victim or the victor. We who are survivors, we who have chosen to be awake, we who have chosen to grow and to learn, learn from Chaos. New Growth is always seen in the rubble of ashes when one chooses the Higher Way born out of Love.
Love and Peace, Chazz. Namaste, Amy ❤

      1. Thank you for your showing us another side of the flower which means I should try to see other sides of the picture. Be able to use different perspectives, too. I hope when you see the list of people on my post and I knew your “plate was full, ” Amy. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. Kitties are improving, I hope from natural treatments?
My days will be brighter: grandson will be induced. Poor DIL has had her hip separate from her pelvic none due to almost two weeks of being dilated and big baby pressing downward. dleeping there tonight and tomorrow new baby boy will enter my family. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Val!!! I’m not sure if I would personally say I Love this journey I am on. It does keep me on my toes, I will say that much! I’ve had challenges galore, yet is not this the fastest way to “enlightenment”? (smile) ❤

      1. Truthfully, there are time I do not love what IS for the sorrows it brings, the intense difficulties it brings, and the losses it brings. I’ve had too much sorrow this year, Val, to “love” the journey. When I get past this, yes I will love the journey, but not right now. ❤

      2. Also, in order to embrace Love fully, there are times we must embrace the darker emotions, which are very painful yet still encompasses Love. In order to Love Love, we must have an understanding how painful the dark side of the coin is. And that is where the preciousness all comes in to focus. When one cherishes Love, that one has traversed many a dark hour in the desert of Life.
