This post is my way of again offering my apologies to a very dear friend of mine. Mark, this post is for you.
Mornings are one of the busiest times of the day for me, each and every day, but more so when I have an appointment to get to as I did yesterday when this situation happened. I have also been very involved in working with my BeLoved Karma to get him strong and healthy again, which in of itself, is very pressing on time, physical exertion, and emotional involvement.
Anyways, in haste, I wrote a comment on a friend’s blog, and when I realized how it could be misconstrued into meaning something I had not meant, I felt acute embarrassment. I committed an oopsie, a blunder, a faux pas.
As for the rest of my WP friends, IF I write something in a comment that seems to be a little off, please forgive me on the spot, and know it is just because of having such a busy Life and the fact I write many, many comments in any given day when I blog. And so on occasion I do mess up.
Now that I have publicly apologized to Mark and eaten humble pie, I feel SO much better! My cuz to the east has become so dear to me, that when I messed up yesterday, you don’t know just how badly I felt. Now I can breathe easier! I am learning not to be so hard on myself when I faux pas.
Thank you for understanding and may you all BE Blessed by this post!!! ENJOY!
~~~~~~~~~
We who have learned to multitask each and every day
do on occasion totally mess up
leaving behind embarrassment in its wake
as well as misunderstandings that can and do arise.
A situation not too long ago
found me with mud upon my face
and a hoof firmly lodged in my mouth,
(I have my fingers to thank for that!)
all because of doing too much in that single moment …
the moment I battled with good ‘ole Mr. Time.
Learning how to come to terms
with being human after all
I think I will take my own advice
and while flying slow down.
Good thing I really do take time
to stop and smell the flowers.
Since we can’t edit comments we post, and since most of us don’t see typos and poor word choice until after pressing the button, I always tend to take comments with a grain of salt if they seem out of character. Nice of you to follow-up with this post.
Good luck with Karma – way more important than anything I have to say 🙂
I’m doing my best with him, and I think, I THINK again I may have stumbled upon an herbal combination that will in the long run, get him back up on his paws, so to speak, and bring him strength and put some weight on him as well. Only time will tell. This Journey has truly been taxing in so many ways, so confusing, so difficult, trying to figure out what exactly is going on. Taking him to the Vet at this time is out of the question, especially since what he just recently went through, so listening to my Inner Guidance and acting upon it, yes, I am seeing good results. Again, only time will tell truly if my assistance will give my Karma some more good years left with this family. Thank you for caring, Dan. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
I think everyone who has blogged for more than a month has done this same thing. Many of us have even done it on Mark’s blog. They can’t hear your tone in writing, and that trips us all once in while.
I’ve been blogging for almost 3 years and within that time span, I’ve probably written 10,000 comments, if not more. Usually the words come out without a hitch, but when I am weary or pressed for time, I can say the darnedest things. Thanks for understanding and I hope you enjoyed this post!! Have a great day! No one of us are perfect Amy – even it could be nice to try to be, but again then we don’t need to learn more, which I would not appreciate and you?
How is Karma now?
Thank you for sharing your always beautiful post ❤
I’m doing my best with Karma, Irene, and I think I may have again stumbled upon an herbal combination that will assist him to get back his strength. Only time will tell. And no, none of us are perfect. I live in a Life that at times leaves very little room for error, so I have gotten to “harsh” with myself when I do faux pas. I am learning to be more tolerant of me. 🙂 (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
Oh, Amy, that was so nice! I totally hear you. It happened three times by now that I mixed up names. I meant the right person but called them a wrong name… truly embarrassing…😥
I’m learning not to be so hard on myself, Erika. I have so many responsibilities where I just cannot make a mistake. My source of letting go is my photograpy, yet there too at times I am too hard on myself. *sighs* Walking away from a lifetime of expectations that others put on me, well, that is what I am in the process of doing right now. We all are human and we all mess up. And when we do, let’s laugh about it instead of getting embarrassed. OK? (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
I think the same. I have to say that I was mixed up as well once, and I did not care at all….. because I totally understand… 😀
Yes, Amy, this reminds me of what happened between you and I a bit and I remind you of what a kind hearted person you are. It would be extremely difficult for anyone to think you did something spiteful or mean spirited in the comments. It’s very difficult to comment on all these blogs and I’ve often worried if I’ve written something that could have been misconstrued and mostly it’s just dismissed with a laugh. all the same, how nice of you to dedicate a lovely picture to your friend. He couldn’t possibly be upset now!
My friend is not upset at all, Marissa. I felt strongly led to do this to make sure he and I are still solid. I really oopsied, Marissa, saying words that could have been taken wrongly in the wrong context. Only afterwards did I see what I wrote and yes, very embarrassed. Perhaps this is a lesson for me that it is OK to mess up, and those who really are my friends, understand that no matter if I do, my Heart is really in the right place. And I am learning to be easier on me. I have so many responsibilities where I just dont’ have the room to mess up. I make life and death decisions sometimes, my friend, in caring for these cats. It’s a lot to handle and over time, I have gotten too harsh with me, not allowing me to make mistakes. I have to LAUGH again and be silly when I make mistakes like I used to be. And I shall! Darn it, Life is too short NOT to laugh at my own silliness. LOL (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
Absolutely Amy! And you are right about friends understanding. If I could count the number of times I put my foot in my mouth!! And now in this day and age of texting, emailing and commenting, everything is out there pretty much permanently!! I can see how one could get paranoid but I think it’s best just to say ‘Oh well, life goes on!”
Better to learn how to laugh when we make mistakes then take ourselves too seriously, Marissa. I have gotten way too serious about myself due to all the responsibility I have. I’m waiting for this evening to arrive so that I can take my camera and get into NOW in the park, to become a KID again. I need it. Life has been stressful for me of late. ❤
It was sunny yesterday and I should have run, but I got pulled into helping hubs and by the time evening time arrived, all I wanted was flowers. *sighs again* Darn it!!! Oh pooh! LOL *giggling*
I’m partial to this image, too, Amy. The designs I captured as I focused on this tiny and I mean tiny flower. We’ve all done that, and most of us have done it more than once. I wish there was a “edit” button on the comments section for the person leaving the comment. I can recall at least one occasion when I had to email a blogger to ask that my comment be changed because it just didn’t come across the way I meant it to.
*sighs* I wish too there was an edit button. I have gotten into the habit of reading my comment before I hit reply, BUT on the days I am pressed for time, I sometimes don’t and just as I am hitting the reply button, I see mistakes. Hehehehehe We tend to take ourselves far too seriously. Make you a deal. I’m really going to work on changing my sense of embarrassment when I mess up, to laughing at me with not meanness but real amusement. When we can put the humor spin on Life, Life becomes so much more JOYFUL.LOL Have a great weekend CM. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
*blush* Thank you, Van. My sense of humor sometimes gets the better of me, and what I said was a “wise butt” remark, that later I saw could be misinterpreted into meaning something I really did not intend. Now I make sure I read my comments before I hit the reply button. I usually do that, yet on the days I am pressed for time, I slide. That is about the gist of things. ❤
We are all human and nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes…and in the end, it will all be okay. What a heartfelt poem, I genuinely felt your sincerity in the post. Sometimes I too fall by the wayside when responding to comments…I feel bad when I miss a comment and discover it months later. Better late than never 🙂
Mabel, we really are human after all. I am learning not to take myself so seriously which to my surprise, I see I have been. Life has a way of being quite tough at times, and along the way, humor seems to slip away. So out of this whole situation, I’m learning to laugh at my faux pas, and at Life in general. In fact, I have a story coming to Petals that I am putting a humorous slant on. Believe, what happened occurred on a day I really wasn’t laughing. The day after this event occurred had me laughing as I put a laughing spin on the whole thing. Laughter truly is good medicine!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
WP has no option to edit comments and typos happen with all of us…for me I often type “:-O” instead of a ” :-)”! Ever time I understand the fault after pressing the ‘post’ button… and eventually an ‘oops’ follows…. 😦
